Give your creativity a Whack!!! *2021-10-16, version 7.1* I have been using the Creative Whack Pack for many years. As a Creative and Education Leader I find myself often needing to strategise in on large scale. In the institution, creativity and shifting perspective can be truely challenging. Give your problem a Whack! Sometimes when you shift focus or take on advice, or look at the research, you can take your next steps with more conviction and leverage. One of my favourite tools to keep you current and flexible. When I first got it, I used it every day for a couple weeks and then sparsely sporadically using it at all. I’m probably the oldest millennial from Detroit that uses it as a tool, or uses it at all. It’s great for those professionally dark moments, it’s ever better for those out of idea moments. It strikes the heart of a creative, warms the mind of an engineer, and tickles the thoughts of a logic. I go through cycles but when I need to get working on my creativity or issue, I get out the wack pack. The app is just a blast. Easy to use and can take notes. Love it. Now a somewhat spoiled app with OTT "social networking" advertising. *2009-12-02, version 0* I have the cards, which are great and I do still prefer. For this version, they have added prominent Twitter , Facebook and email buttons - new social networking sites are appearing all the time - where will it end? You could already export data, if you felt it necessary, but more and more buttons for the wired up generation I think is overkill - simply more chances to be accidentally tripped up into functions for no real creative benefit. Their placement is abysmal as they are right on where your thumb is to flip the card or scroll down. So... /flip card/..oops no I dont want to send to Twitter../cancel/.../go back a page/..../scrolldown/...oops no I really dont want to ever go to facebook from this app... /cancel again/.. /go back, yet again/...and so on repeatedly. They have even repeated the share-button (advert) at the bottom too. How can we restore v.3.0???? The plus side, in general this is very portable and handy to have around and is also much cheaper than the card set yet they haven't thought about giving those not wishing to twitter everything the option to disable these prominent "forced" options. ### 3/5 — Creative Indeed! *2010-11-24, version 5.0* Great thought-provoking presentations that make you think. However, I'm not a fan of the graphics. It gives me the heeby-geebies. I did notice that the notes you take are not searchable. In other words, once you make a notation, you have to immediately e-mail yourself or you'll lose them forever in the stack of cards. That's no good when you want to go back and review what you've studied. Have really been encouraged and challenged creatively with it, so I decided to purchase the iOS Creative Whack Pack for personal use. Would love to see an update with the ability to search the Whack Pack as well as select favourites for later easy reference. Also it would be nice to be able to swipe back to previously read cards.
