I have learned so much about audio from some of these courses! The moment i click on Course i want to see, it simply crashes. Can't use it. I'd like to but i can't. No search feature forces you to dig through menues and a ton of classes to find something of interest. The 'My Classes' section of the app doesn't seem to sink with web browser or iOS devices. The 'Recently Watched' section seems to be only recently watched on the Apple TV app. No access to saved classes from your browser. ### 3/5 — Lacking some substance *2022-07-22, version 4.1.1* They talk a big game, but it’s not as serious of a platform as I thought it would be. There’s some decent stuff on here, but there’s also a TON of feel-good, woo-woo, substance-free rubbish. Aaron Alexander’s class is one example among many. I think there is also a missed opportunity for a more interactive learning experience, beyond just watching videos. ### 5/5 — Great *2022-04-30, version 4.1.1* Enjoying everything I’m watching ### 2/5 — Great content, horrible watching experience *2022-03-29, version 4.1.1* The content and availability of courses is great, it’s my second year with a full pass, but watching the videos on the app is a disaster on anything but a perfect fast connection. The video freezes or you just get a black screen, if it buffers it often jumps back even by minutes so you have to watch that part again (don’t try to skip forward because it will buffer again!) or just gets stuck buffering. Downloading the lessons would be great: you know you have poor connection coming up, you download the next three or four lessons so you can keep on watching. Easy…if it didn’t choose randomly in which order to download the lessons! Never the one you’re on first, so guess what? Less bandwidth because you’re downloading the third lesson down and the one you’re watching starts freezing or buffering! Frustrating to say the least. Guys, there are places outside big cities in the world, and they can have slower connection. Think of that! And for Heaven’s sake, why do I need a connection to watch downloaded content? I’ve been authenticated by the app - I logged in! Please allow watching downloaded content without connection! ### 3/5 — Great classes, bad app *2022-03-16, version 4.1.1* Spent HOURS downloading to watch on an extended trip away from internet access. Tried to add a couple more lessons at the last minute. Adding more downloads in the same course ERASED all of my previous ones. Given how slowly the downloads happen, this is beyond frustrating and a major weakness of creativelive overall. Very unhappy. Ruined my plans. ### 5/5 — Good *2022-01-27, version 4.1.1* Only watched the first four lessons. I feel I am getting a little deeper knowledge on how the flash works with aperture, shutter, and iso. It is something that needs to be explained, trust me. While the teaching style is at times awkward, useful information is being taught. It is one more layer to my learning process. I feel I already have received my money’s worth. Thumbs up. ### 5/5 — IPhone X: A quick Guide by Chase Jarvis *2022-01-26, version 4.1.1* I’m an avid photographer familiar with my Nikon DSLR and and older Samsung Android camera that takes stellar night photos. When I saw the reviews on the iPhone Pro Max camera I took the leap to iPhone. I HAD TO HAVE ONE! But being New to to the Apple world introduced a ver broad learning curve so when I saw Chase’s class I jumped in. WOW, am I ever grateful I did. This class was so informative. 2 months into my new iPhone, I barely knew how to use it. I thoroughly enjoyed this course and would love to see a follow up class with the iPhone 13 - not sure but I think all three models of the 13 have the same camera? There are two frustrations I have with the camera which may be easily addressed in a CReativeLive class: 1. the undesirable “oil painting” results in zoom photos. 2. How to achieve outstanding night photos like my Samsung camera offered. Thanks for the informative and inspiring class Chase! Please consider addressing the above mentioned topics or touch on the updates introduced in the iPhone 13 (iOS 15) in future classes. Thanks a million. Roberta C. The past several months the ‘On Air Now’ 24 hour streaming has not worked and I have been waiting and waiting and waiting, hoping for an update of some sort for this issue. I have missed numerous classes that I have RSVP’d for because of this issue. Seems that since Creative Live was sold to Fiverr they have abandoned this app which has not been updated in three years. I subscribed for a year to this with the intention of watching it on tv. But it is broken and has been for a long time. Years apparently. It used to work because I used it a couple years ago. I want a refund. Then I found out the app on the iMac doesn’t work either. It crashes every time I bring it up. So apparently this company is going under. I would have liked to have known that before I spent so much money. The classes are fine but if I the apps you use to watch them don’t work what’s the point? Save your money. I like taking digital notes as I watch something. But you don’t give the option to use split screen in the app where I can take notes while watching a video simultaneously. Instead, I have to play the video on my phone to take notes on my iPad. It’s ridiculous to not have this feature and keeps me from being more active with the app. PLEASE enable split screen. It is now 2024, and many of the courses on this platform are still extremely relevant and helpful to me today - all these years later. I hope it continues to be maintained and accessible in the years ahead, as it is packed with many wonderful, high-quality classes and learning paths!!! I still learn something new, for example, in the posing and lighting classes for photographers. Same for classes pertaining to creative projects, creative inspiration, cultivating creative practices, composition, documentary photography, wedding photography, and family photography. I also still enjoy watching content creation courses, in that they provide inspiration and ideas that are still helpful today despite changes in how SEO works. Classes on craft fairs, communication, vlogging, and other creative topics are are still useful to me. I am able to play course videos on my iPhone, iPad, and AppleTV app without any issues. I am also able to download the supplemental course materials (ie PDFs) without any problems. A++++ learning app, in my book. **Developer response:** Laura Roxane, please try out the latest version. We've made it easier to access your owned classes directly from the Home view. Also the Recently Watched list provides quick access to resume your active classes. There’s a wide variety to choose from and I find the presenters / experts really conversational and I get very sucked into what they are saying and doing (it’s easy for me to get distracted). The content from CL also has moderators that ask really good questions both from the online crowd and themselves when they sense going deeper or clarifying could be helpful. The things I’ve learned here probably would cost me thousands of dollars in classes.
