I don’t need to create an account for a light bulb so they can farm my data. Pairing to the bulbs that randomly unpair and remembering the password to an app I use once every year or two? Not so much. Takes me 45 mins to get back into the app and pair the bulbs every time. As I write this review I’m on my third round of trying to add the lights to my app so I can change their color back from scalding-my-eyeballs-white. The Cree system barely worked the moment we implemented it in multiple rooms, failing in a host of ways - individual bulbs forgetting which room/group they were assigned to and failing to operate (on, off, programming) with their group; whole rooms forgetting and going through the strobe-effect initiation process every few days or weeks (room depending); no room maintaining “advanced” programming such as timers, Cree programs like “follow the sun,” etc. for longer than a week or so. But now, the app doesn’t work…at all. Neither my husband or I can log in to the app, with the “log in” button permanently greyed out. Rooms are on the fritz big time, strobing every time we turn the lights on. Our house is a constant disco, and we only had to pay roughly $1,200 for the luxury.
