## What is Cress?

Make sense of what you eat with Cress: a calorie tracker, food diary and nutrition tracker with sources you can inspect. Log meals, follow your macros and explore the nutrients behind your day.

Every feature is free. No ads. No subscriptions. No paid upgrades.

A FOOD DIARY FOR EVERYDAY LIFE
Search foods and restaurant menus, scan a barcode or read a nutrition label. Adjust portions, save meals and reuse the foods you eat often. Plan meals ahead and keep planned food separate from what you have actually logged.

SEE WHAT IS BEHIND THE NUMBERS
Explore nutrition information from published food databases, manufacturer labels and restaurant nutrition documents. See source information and confidence indicators for reported values. When data is missing or uncertain, Cress makes that visible.

GO BEYOND CALORIES
Track protein, carbohydrates and fat alongside fiber, vitamins, minerals and other available nutrients. Explore daily totals, and turn on the optional Metrics tab for averages and trends. Prefer to focus on nutrients? Hide energy totals while keeping your diary useful.

SCAN, THEN REVIEW
Use barcode and nutrition-label scanning to find or enter foods. Meal photos can suggest foods to get you started. Review the food and portion before adding it: a photo alone cannot establish exactly what is in a meal. Nutrition-label scanning currently supports English labels.

MAKE IT YOURS
Use saved meals and weekly meal plans to simplify repeat days. Supplements are included in the diary by default. In Settings, under Tracking > Optional features, choose whether to show the Metrics tab, water, weight or progress photos, or set personal micronutrient targets. These five features are off by default. Set calorie and macro goals separately under Daily goals. Export your diary and delete your account from Settings.

APPLE HEALTH AND APPLE WATCH
With your permission, Cress writes logged nutrition to Apple Health and can sync water and weight. The companion Apple Watch app lets you check your day and log from your wrist.

SUPPORTED BY PEOPLE WHO USE IT
Cress does not sell your data. If you would like to support its development, hosting and data work, you can leave an optional one-time tip. Tips never unlock features, and nothing changes if you choose not to contribute.

Nutrition information is for general information, not medical advice. Available nutrients and confidence vary by food and source.
