FEATURE OVERVIEW WORK DAYS - Add work days one by one or set up your week in advance by adding multiple pre, shoot and post days with a single tap. JOBS - Create jobs of any length, from two day TVCs to six month Feature Films. Set up jobs as you see fit, customise night loadings, minimum day length and pension contributions. This works so well. Clean and easy to set up and use. Could you please set up half days with the ability to add overtime. Also invoice type would be a handy option as clients often request PAYG in bold letters in the title. The title of an invoice can be easily changed, both for Invoice Templates and on an invoice to invoice basis. You can even use Invoice Templates so that each Job creates two invoices, one as PAYG for Labour and another as Tax Invoice for Equipment. Thanks! ### 5/5 — Must Have for Film Crew *2025-03-17* I work mostly in TVCs and this app is perfect to keep track of my hours and the gear I used. Shows me an overtime breakdown with the correct penalties, flags when I might break turnaround, etc. The invoicing features are super useful, I do all of my invoices directly in the app and can easily send them from my phone right after a job. It’s simple to use, is updated regularly and if necessary, support gets back to you promptly. You put in the details and it does the calculations for you, overtime, kms, superannuation. You then generate and send a clear, detailed invoice, that makes you look far more professional than you feel. I cannot recommend this app enough. If paperwork and invoicing is your nightmare get Crew Call and save a tonne of time and stress. ### 5/5 — My life just got a little simpler *2024-08-18* I would go as far as calling it an essential tool for any freelancer in the film industry. It’s more accurate and faster at calculating OT, NL, GST and so on compared to me and my note pad, calculator and that vague memory of last week’s shoot. Love it and will keep recommending it! ### 2/5 — Completely overpriced *2024-05-19* $70 a year! Are you kidding me. When it was at $40, that was barley acceptable. I’ve been using for a few years, it’s ok. When I originally purchased the app, it was the best thing on the market, but it’s still not great by any means. You got to work around some of it’s limitations to get the correct information in. The updates have been helpful, but the app is far from perfect. $70 is totally greedy. The app must have been developed by film tools. **Developer response:** Thanks for sharing your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that you feel the recent price increase is unacceptable. The price changes in Q1 ‘24 were updated to reflect Crew Call’s new invoicing functionality as it’s no longer just a Time Tracking App for Film Crew but also an Invoicing App for Film Crew. I agree, Crew Call is definitely not perfect but I work hard to make it customizable to maximize its compatibility for Overtime Calculations all over the world. To my knowledge there is nothing else that offers the flexibility that Crew Call offers. Saves me so much time!!!! ### 5/5 — Compulsory app for film/tv/commercial crew *2022-08-17* This app is a complete game changer. I use this app to track all my job hours, overtimes, travel times and also the button that adds automatic afternoon tea at the end of the day. Being able to save all my rates and gear rental so you can automatically add it to a job. The new feature of being able to track your distance driven makes log booking for my work vehicle so easy come tax time. I use it mostly as a freelancer, but when I’ve done long-form work it makes weekly timesheets very easy.
