The work I do rarely has time cards or payroll so it’s all by invoice. It’s nice to be able to input my time and export a time card with all the correct calculations so I don’t have to do it myself. Makes it easy to submit with my invoices to the producers. ### 4/5 — Getting there *2021-12-24, version 2021.04* I use it every day. I admit it’s not intuitive and sometimes confusing to use. There have been a couple updates recently. I’m not in cahoots with the developer, but if you have an issue, send an email before giving a crappy review. He has always answered my questions either within an hour or so or latest next day. Even when I screwed something up, I still don’t know what, and it showed my pay for 1 day was 18,000 dollars. Was very helpful and didn’t call me an idiot, which was nice. Still hoping and waiting for the app to sync across devices for the days when the iPhone screen is too small. Maybe make adding notes to a workday easier instead of 2”3 or 4 steps to get to another page.for locations or unusual occurrences. Maybe add a highlight or something on the daily page so you know to look at the notes. Anyway, I’m pretty disorganized but I got in the habit of using crew time each day and it takes me 2 minutes to submit payroll at end of week. ### 3/5 — Clock issues *2018-03-01* This app still hasn’t been fixed. It’d be amazing otherwise. When the “clock” button gets pressed, the numbers disappear, forcing you to have to enter the time manually. Really frustrating because it’s been this way for so long **Developer response:** Please email me next. Had no idea this was a problem. Turns it was the result of rotating the phone with the clock open. Its fixed now. ### 3/5 — UPDATE ( great app if they would update) *2016-11-04* Can we get an update please??? I mean I paid I can't remember how much anymore $5 or more. Time card turns black when you now try to see it. Trying to input time the app will crash or glitch and not allow you to enter time (time clock wheel). Other than these problems the app is great and a 5 star app. The time glitch has been ongoing for a long time now though. Update: Nov. 4th 2016 Thanks for the update! App is much better. Time card is back when you try to view, thank you! The clock wheel when you try to input time still goes away on you when trying to input your times for lunch etc... sometimes it stays there, sometimes you get to put the hour and then try the minutes it goes away. Again, other than that issue this is an app worth having if you work on set. ### 4/5 — Impressive, its almost all there *2016-08-09, version 2.0* It is ! Finally we can get rid of that paper trace, suggestions though, more intl standards, travel times on work days, turnaround rules, 0.5h paid lunch as an option. ### 3/5 — Great app would have been 4+ but.. *2016-05-11* The email time card feature doesn't seem to work. Other then that this is a great app for keeping track of your time and how much your making. **Developer response:** You need to setup Apple Mail to email time cards. Please email with questions instead of leaving a bad review over something that works. We have now also added an alert telling you the reason why it didnt open the send mail. That was our bad. support@crewtimecard.com ### 2/5 — Was good at first... *2015-10-23* I've been using this app for a few months now and just this week it started freezing while inputting my times. I haven't been able to use it at all this week because it will freeze and never save anything. Please fix! ### 2/5 — Hate the new color scheme *2014-01-21, version 1.4* I hate the new update color scheme and there needs to be an option to turn off meal penalties. Nope, not happening. I will be complaining to the iTunes Store. I used this app all the time but then I stopped because it took forever to get an update. I love this app. But with the update, it's useless. Crashes every time. ### 1/5 — OK *2012-05-16* Needs a welcome screen menu. Doesn't have a "create new timecard" option, you have to re-renter data on a previous card and re-save. Can't sort the timcards by date. Can't archive or indicate paid. He kit fee field doesn't show up on the totals, there should be a way to see without generating the PDF style timecard. There should be a field for misc charge (like for 1099 jobs that pay a per diem). Don't like that when you load a new card it asks you if you want to discard data even when you already saved the previous timecard. But I still like it better than "wrap time". Fix your app and I'd recommend it to everyone! ### 2/5 — 6th day? *2019-11-24* Been using this app for a few years now cuz it’s one of the only ones on the App Store and it’s still amazing how after years some obvious things are still missing. Such as 6th day. I worked a 6th day today and the thing still calculates 8 hours at normal rate. How is this still missing? 6th and 7th day features needed please, thanks! **Developer response:** The app has, and has had 6th and 7th day for years, but you need to select that under the more option. Often your 6 in a row crosses a week so there is no way for the app to determine this on its own. ### 2/5 — Really useful app when it works *2016-10-25* I really was using this app all the time but ever since I upgraded my phone to the latest OS. I can no longer input the times using the clock button which was great for those people who have to use your fingers to calculate 24 hour clock. I would give it 5 stars but until they get it working like before I give it a 2 **Developer response:** Please email when you have issues. Works for 99% of people. Darken colors iOS bug caused button to disappear. This was fixed last year when I got an email about it. I get all my friends use it on every job I go on :) ### 5/5 — Great *2023-12-20* I have been using this app for over 6 years. It really helps with keep up with hours and making sure productions are getting one over on you. However it would be GREAT if there was a way to add what contract your show is working under, and it makes adjustments accordingly. For example, Latest show I was on was a low buffet contract that has double time after 11 hours, double and half time after 12 hours and triple time after 14 hours. There is no way for me to add the triple time, which is where I think production is trying to hide that on stubs. ### 5/5 — Great app *2019-09-14, version 2018.04* Very helpful app, would love to see this one take advantage of the larger iPad screen ### 5/5 — Great app *2019-01-21* I've been using this app for many years. It makes timecard calculations so quick and easy. Each feature, when it comes out, is so well put together and easy to use. At the time of writing this review, I love the ability to save templates of timecards for clients I work for regularly so I don't have to reenter my rate and other info; it's just creating a new week. I also love the new mpv option of union or non union, so that it can be changed based on the show. ### 5/5 — Awesome App! *2017-01-05* Thanks for making it easier to keep track of my hours on set. ### 5/5 — App now crashes on IOS 8.0 *2014-09-24* Thanks to Apples wonderful updates, this app now crashes when using IOS 8.0-hopefully something can be done quickly as this is the one and only app I use on a daily basis. However, how about a multiple entry feature so one could keep time of the ones department with different call times etc. Like a unique time card per person... Would be the only time keeping app and Best Boy would ever need. I have to have other apps to keep time for my whole crew and it's gets clustered up... Thanks for your consideration... ### 5/5 — Great for entertainment crew workers! *2012-08-06* Great app. I'm using it every day now. Its much easier than figuring out what people owe me each week. Please add 6th day calculations (with on/off functionality) and allow for not just tents and quarters, but regular ol' 12 hour times (1:45 pm) for those weird line producers. Also, I'm the type to snap a photo of my hand written time card before I turn it in. Can you include this with the app so that the pic is linked to the file?
