## What is CrewAssign?

CrewAssign is workforce scheduling built for construction companies — the office schedules
the work, the crew sees it on their phone, and the record of what happened stays attached
to the job site.

FOR THE CREW

• See your own schedule for the day, the week or the month.
• Clock in and out on site. Your hours land against the right job automatically.
• Mark tasks complete and attach photos as you go.
• Request materials from the job site instead of chasing someone by text.
• Request time off and see where the request stands.
• Add your scheduled visits to your phone's calendar.
• Works offline. Clock-ins, task updates and photos taken with no signal are queued on the
device and sent when you are back in range.

FOR ADMINISTRATORS AND FOREMEN

• A calendar of every scheduled visit, with conflict detection so two jobs can't claim the
  same worker.
• Job sites that hold everything about the work: tasks, materials, equipment, permits,
  inspections, photos and documents.
• Assign workers to visits and reschedule from your phone.
• Approve or decline time-off requests and materials requests as they come in.
• Recurring visit rules for work that repeats.
• Estimates and PDF invoices built from the work that was actually recorded.
• Reports and analytics on hours, costs and job progress.

BUILT FOR THE FIELD

• English and Spanish throughout the app.
• Face ID / Touch ID unlock.
• Push notifications when a schedule changes or a request needs your attention.
• Photo metadata, including any GPS coordinates your camera recorded, is stripped on the
  device before anything is uploaded.

ABOUT ACCOUNTS

CrewAssign is used by a company, and accounts are created by that company's administrator —
you cannot sign up as an individual. If your employer uses CrewAssign, sign in with the
account they gave you. If you would like CrewAssign for your own company, get in touch at
support@crewassign.app.

Location is used only at the moment you clock in or out, so your employer has an accurate
record of time on site. It is never collected in the background, and clocking in still
works if you decline the permission.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.6 — 2026-09-16

This update is mostly about working where the signal is bad.

• Fixed: opening the app with no signal could leave you stuck on "Restoring your sign-in". It now takes you straight to your schedule.
• Fixed: opening a visit with no signal replaced it with an error message. It now keeps showing the visit, with a note that it couldn't refresh.
• Fixed: changes you made offline now sync within seconds of getting signal back, instead of sometimes taking minutes.
• Fixed: if you tapped a task complete and then not-complete while offline, the earlier tap could win. Your last choice now wins.
• Fixed: creating a visit by holding a late-afternoon slot on the calendar could set the end time to midnight, before the start time.
• Fixed: choosing a second estimate template did nothing — the first one stayed applied.
• Fixed: after you create an estimate, the form is now blank for the next one instead of still showing the previous estimate's details.
• Fixed: times in notifications now show in your company's time zone.
• New: if a change can never be sent, you can now discard it from Sync Issues instead of leaving it stuck.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-09-14

CrewAssign 1.0.5

- Stay signed in when you lose service. Open the app on a job site with no
signal and your schedule is still there.
- Schedule from your phone. Admins can create a visit right from the
calendar, press and hold an empty slot to book that time, or add one from
  a job site.
- Add tasks while you schedule. Pick from the job site's open tasks or type
new ones as you create the visit.
- Real date and time pickers throughout scheduling.
- Clearer wording when recording a homeowner's consent to text updates.
- Several sign-in fixes, including one that could sign you out
  unexpectedly.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-11

• Fixed: if you had turned off camera or photo access, the app told you to change it in Settings but gave you no way to get there. You now get a prompt with an "Open Settings" button that takes you straight to the right screen.
• New: an "All day" option when requesting time off, so you can ask for a whole day without setting a start and end time.
• Photo suggestion cards have been turned off while we improve them.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-07

What's new in 1.0.3

NEW
• Pull down to refresh on every screen.
• A Location switch on your Profile shows whether clock-in location is on and turns it on in one tap.
• Admins can reset a worker's password (Workers → the worker → Reset password) and read everything sent from Help → Send feedback in a Feedback inbox.
• Your app version is printed at the bottom of Profile and More.

IMPROVED
• Face ID and Touch ID prompt the moment you open the app when you chose to stay signed in, with a "Welcome back" card above the sign-in form.
• Back returns to the screen you came from.
• Drag a task and the list reorders as you move, not only when you let go.
• With no signal, screens say "You're offline" in plain words instead of a raw network error.
• The "You're clocked in" box on the Schedule opens the visit you are clocked in at.

FIXED
• Opening the app with no signal keeps you signed in and shows your saved schedule; it used to leave you on the sign-in screen.
• The "you're offline — the photo will upload" notice goes away once everything has synced.
• Creating a second job site starts at the top of a blank form.
• Feedback and notification emails reach their inbox again.
• A task added on one device shows on another the first time the visit is opened.
• Clocking in and out on Android is as fast as on iPhone.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-05

What's new in 1.0.2

NEW
• A short guided tour the first time you sign in — where the schedule is, how to clock in, and what happens with no signal. Skip it any time; replay it from Help.
• Show or hide your password with the eye icon, on every password field.
• Send feedback straight from Help. Your app version travels with the message.
• Help links to the full documentation and the release notes.
• Admins can add tasks directly from the visit screen, and edit a job site's start and estimated end dates.

IMPROVED
• Notifications say what they are about — the job site, who assigned the task, the visit's time window, your admin's note on a time-off decision — and tapping one opens it.
• The app now waits 30 minutes before locking, instead of 5, so putting your phone in your pocket between tasks no longer means signing back in.
• Completed tasks show the date and time they were finished.
• The Schedule opens on today, and the version and build number are printed at the bottom of the sign-in screen.
• Scheduling conflicts name the visit or approved time off that is in the way.

FIXED
• "Stay signed in on this device" now keeps you signed in. It previously only worked if you had Face ID or Touch ID set up — without it, or if you had declined the Face ID prompt, the app asked for your password every time you opened it.
• Opening the app with no signal no longer signs you out. Your session is kept until the app can reach the server, so a dead zone on site costs you nothing.
• "Add to Calendar" works on Android again.
• The calendar draws each visit at its real length — an eight-hour job was being drawn as one hour.
• Clocking in and out records your location, including the clock-out, which could come back empty on a slow signal. The app asks for location once rather than every time.
• The dashboard's Workers Today, Overdue and Tasks done this week now count correctly.
• Adding a second job site starts from a blank form, and two job sites can no longer share a name.
• A task added on one device appears on another straight away.
• The materials list shows the newest request first.
• A suggestion an admin declines stays in the worker's list, marked Declined, instead of disappearing.
• Tapping a push notification opens the screen it is about, including from a locked or closed app.
• Date pickers are readable in Dark Mode, and photos upload from the browser again.
