## What is CribDuel?

Play cribbage 1v1: online against a real opponent, or offline against the bot. One board, two players, 121 points to win. No menus to dig through, no slot-machine timers, just the game.

HOW TO PLAY
Each round you and your opponent get 6 cards, discard 2 into the dealer's "crib", and a starter card is cut from the deck. Pegging is the turn-based phase where every card you play adds to the running total. Keep it under 31 and score for fifteens, pairs, and runs as you go. After cards are exhausted, you count your hand against the starter, the dealer counts theirs, and the dealer counts the crib. First to 121 wins. The dealer rotates each round, so the crib advantage swings every hand.

Cribbage veterans who want a clean, fast 1v1 client, and new players who want to learn the rules without a 30-page manual. No "energy", no daily-spin nonsense. Just cribbage.

Online play matches you with another player looking for a game. There is no friends list and no invite: you tap Play and the next opponent is whoever is searching too.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-08-25

Waiting for an opponent no longer has to end in nothing. After a short wait you can start a game against the bot instead, and a win you are proud of can be shared straight from the final score.

Also in this update: the app follows your system reduce-motion setting, Settings lists the open-source licences, and a match that nobody actually won is no longer recorded as a win for one side.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-08-18

Notifications are no longer requested the moment you open the app. The ask waits until after a game, and Settings can turn them on any time.

Also fixed: the leaderboard cut off two-digit ranks at large text sizes, and the email sign-in screen stayed in English whatever your language. You can now rate the game from Settings.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-08-15

Notifications now work whether or not you have an account, so a match you are waiting for can reach you.

The notification switch is in Settings for everyone, so you can turn them off any time.

You can now turn notifications on or off from Settings, and turn them back on if you said no the first time.

The online player count is accurate again, so you no longer see players who already left.

Fixed Google sign-in, so accounts created with Google now work on the first try. Every account now gets a username. The Rate button and the support email link work again.
