Or buildings, I have been in this game for years and ready to move on, because people who made this game are the cheaters, placing items in the equipment in the store of the game that don't build your stats, but screw it up, don't bother writing customer support, they know they're screwing with the game and cheating, their in the game with outrageous stats, and attacking me!! When they do attack me they don't realize I see the glitches my attack and defense increase and then decrease. I'm done playing ### 2/5 — Crime City *2015-04-19, version 6.2.0* This game isn't that bad in the beginning, as long as you get into a syndicate fast. Where the problems lie, are later in the game. Defeating bosses at first is easy and lucrative, but eventually it gets to the point where it takes a LONG time to kill one, consuming hours upon hours of time. This happens because GREE is trying to focus on the top 10 syndicates, by making it harder, but they don't consider the weaker ones. This isn't so bad, but what makes it worse, is the fact that once you miss ONE event and don't get the weapon, you can NEVER recover because all the others will have it and you won't, making you weaker than the other syndicates. Another thing. I remember a time where 100 damage was A LOT, but now the damage is in the millions, and this's will keep happening until the game dies. But the worst, is the fact that once your syndicate wins ONE war event, you will win EVERY other one. There has been one syndicate ruling the game and they have won over 20 wars without a single different winner. So the game isn't all that bad in the beginning, but I wouldn't recommend this game... ### 2/5 — Crime city... *2015-03-12, version 6.1.1* This is my second review...my first was that I enjoyed this game. Now that I've played for a long time I have changed my mind. It seems that when you reach 42 in expansion you're DONE! If you can't expand you can no longer purchase new buildings. So what's the point? There's always new buildings just about every month. So unless you're willing to sell off buildings which you paid for at a considerably loss you're sunk. I've repeatedly sent Gree emails with no answer to my specific problem. I get a stock answer to delete the game ( I don't lose my original game) but doing so does not do anything! I'm getting frustrated and annoyed...maybe this review will get SOMEONES attention...or it will not make the review page!! :( freely annoyed! ### 4/5 — I like it allot *2014-12-31, version 6.0* Ok so, you can customize (you're avatar, and buildings that give you cash or, defend you're property.. Just look at what the building gives before you buy it), and when you're attacking players or mission characters, a green arrow appears over them meaning you attack them, (yellow ones aren't important as much but still get junk), keep doing it (but not allot cause you'll waste you're energy more), just until the mission complete message pops up... If you happen upon a boss, (you'll know it's them by the siren noise... It can be exciting...) the boss fight is different though, 3 fighting options are there, (use the free one cause the rest are gold), so enjoy it, take my word or the images for it if you're interested. 🔥 (i don't know if it's my iPad, but it kept crashing when I collected my cash, there's a red button that makes it easier, & I'd like to share my avatars style... as well on social media, uploads are what I'm used to). ### 3/5 — Recomend some changes! *2014-02-03, version 3.9.2* I have been playing this game for a long time now and I love it, but some changes really need made or I'm done. First of all, allow me to build and upgrade more than one building at a time! There was an update that came out a long time ago claiming to make that possible, but it didn't. Make it happen! Next, allow me to purchase game cash with coins in the game so that I can at least attempt to keep up with people who are spending real cash! It doesn't even matter if you make it some ridiculous amount like 1,000,000 coins for only 1 dollar of game cash. Just make it an option at least! Make these changes soon or lose this long-time player, my friends, and others who feel the same as me! ### 4/5 — Upgrades *2013-09-26, version 3.8.1* Too expensive for what you receive , upgrades take too long, upgrades too expensive , for money given out , defenses too expensive takes too long to finish,MOST OF ALL WHY HAVE A TEN PERCENT CHARGE TO DEPOSIT MONEY....THAT HAS TO GO, REDICULOUS, AND NOT FAIR TO PLAYERS....THANKS FOR LISTENING.....PLEASE GET RID OF DEPOSIT CHARGE, HARD TO GET AHEAD...IN GAME, OTHER THAN THAT LIKE ANY GAME , BUGS NEED TO BE WORKED OUT...I LIKE THE FACT YOU CAN TALK AND HAVE FRIENDS ALL OVER THE WORLD...BEST PART OF GAME!!!!!!!! I like the graphics, my Avitars wardrobe has gone back to having to purchase everything I've already bought, including items bought with gold, Gree has tried to weakly fix this, but always goes back to having to buy what I already paid for, never had Gree respond to this at all ,I sent a full list of items & prices, and still have not heard a word, it's been over a month, I liked changing my look, so I had bought a lot of items, and now they are up for sale again, totally a rip off of $ spent for gold to buy clothing, hair, etc ### 4/5 — In app purchases *2013-09-12, version 3.8* While the game is entertaining, and a blast to play with friends, it becomes tired and boring when trying to upgrade a building or expand your block. As it take hours or even days depending on the level of the building, and the number of expansions made to your block. This is due to in app purchases that must be made in order to speed up the process of upgrading. You must purchase gold, either through your iTunes account, debit, or credit card. To me, this seems like a ripoff to the gamer, who has to spend a fortune just to enjoy the game. I personally, would rather spend $20-$50 dollars up front, rather than $100, $200, $300 or more on in app purchases in the game! This type of profiteering needs to stop! And let us, the gamer play and enjoy these games without breaking the bank! Nuff said! ### 4/5 — Crime City *2013-08-04, version 3.7.1* Fun and addictive. Some glitches like crashing, purchases from play money, not real cash, not always recognized (but they do not get charged either:). Recovery from crashes does not cause any loss of points or accomplishments done at or before the crash so I don't mind them. In game purchases are extremely expensive and some times necessary to get and stay ahead. Gree would make a lot more money by charging less. This way more players can afford to spend there cash. But for now, it does keep the competition low. Over all a very entertaining and engaging game that groups of old and new friends can enjoy. I do recommend glancing through the help section for useful tips and FAQ's. ### 1/5 — Mr. *2013-07-23, version 3.7.1* This would be a great game if not for the many many many crashes. There are way too many people that cheat to get gold it really when honest players get screwed because of it. Also the button can be too easily pressed accidentally and you lose gold bars because their is no conformation button to make sure you really want to purchase the items. This has happened to me too many times and they don't replace it for you. The customer service is too slow or non existent. They take forever to reply to any issue that you might send in. I would recommend doing other games except those by Funzio/Gree. Fun game except for all the problems that they don't correct. They want you to spend your hard earned money that crashes a lot and is not player friendly. it's a waste of time. ### 4/5 — Great game but be ready to spend real money *2013-06-23, version 3.6.2* I'll admit I'm addicted to this game. I've been playing for about a year and play everyday. It is very cool to build your hood, acquire items, and go on quests. The only issue is that to really go far, you have to pony up real cash. I figure I've spent around $500 so far. Now I make decent jack and can afford it, and there are obviously some really rich players who buy vast quantities of gold and use the in the syndicate fights. That's ok. I'm an American and if you want to spend your money playing this game, go for it. I'd probably do the same if I had tons of expendable cash. However i feel for plenty of players who cant afford to do that. Groo/Funzio obviously has hit on a good money making scheme, but thats capitalism. Anyway, I do really like the game and if you like Sim type games, I recommend you try it. ### 2/5 — Not bad game, but..... *2013-04-20, version 3.5.1* I like the game, but Gree cannot keep all the hackers and cheaters out. Issues are seldom resolved. In order to be good, you have to spend real money which amounts to a lot of money for little gain in points. The attack, defense number system they have is not all that great. You can still loose a fight based off of a point difference of 10,000+ making it hard to figure who you can beat and who you can't. The player level is even screwed up where it may have taken you more job, attacks and robberies to level up compared to another player. I have seen stats differ in the amount of 750 jobs, fights won and robberies won which give you exp points. I really wouldn't invest too much time in this game or completely stir clear. ### 1/5 — Crime city review *2013-03-22, version 3.5* Hard to believe this is highly rated. Gamers need to realize you must give money to earn small amounts of gratification. Nearly all the highly prized items needed will cost you in real life dollars hundreds and hundreds. The game is linked to a server creating a control over play time. Also, you lose money when depositing into the bank? What crap is that? There is no way to play safely either? The real problem is being allowed to post vulgar messages to other gamers! Some of these blogs are more than repulsive. I am shocked they allow the banter to be posted. But as the saying goes, what goes around comes around. Everyone playing this game and shelling out your hard earned money must accept the fact you are making this company rich while you continue to drill down into poverty. That is my take on all of this. Total waste of time! ### 4/5 — Very addictive *2013-03-02, version 3.0.1* Very good addictive game. Upgraded v2 is better with more interesting events but seems designed to get one to pay Real money to progress more quickly. Unhappy that touch sensors on v2 seem drawn to trees and decorations, making it difficult to upgrade income properties. It seems impossible to advance beyond one-quarter to one-third of total levels in special events without using gold, and generally that means spending real cash to buy gold. But at least these special events allow players to earn high-value equipment by spending only virtual money. The game still crashes too frequently for my taste (I play on an iPad 1 running IOS 5), but at least now I don't lose stamina and earnings during the crashes. Also latency seems slow given my 20 MBpS high-speed internet connection. ### 4/5 — Fun, but hard to compete against people that want to spend BigBucks *2012-12-03, version 2.6* Fun. It is expensive to play. It took me two weeks to expand. I have to give up a week worth of progress just to advance. The side games cost you a week just to play. Why? I need $10,000,000 just to advance in the game. That's over a month of saving and doing nothing else maybe. Also, when I first started playing, I would see players actually develop some type of a resemblance of a city. Now it just who can cram as much into a space as possible. Why is it called Crime City, it should be called Crime Block of what ever fits. Have not seen a single tree. When a problem is encountered, you will just have to live with it. The support, although they reply with nice messages acknowledging receipt of messages containing the problem/issue are never able to find the problem therefore have NEVER been able to fix the issue or provide a remedy. They will request numerous screenshots and this last time actually asked me to provide video of the issue. Really, they wanted me to somehow send them video of their game! Fun game. I play multiple times every day. There is a terrible issue with like five or more pop up screens to get through every time you open the game. Very annoying. The time it takes to build or upgrade buildings is crazy. Some things take a full week to upgrade. The real problem is how slow every action is. Want to deposit or withdraw from your bank? 30 seconds or more for that to load. Want to fight a boss? Another 30 seconds of loading. Today they are insisting players accept their new data gathering and terms of service. Happens...ok, let’s read. Even though there’s no microphone usage as part of the game, they demand to be able to record audio of you. They insist on accessing all your contacts. They insist they get to access your usb data and pictures. They also want to monitor all apps running on your device. None of this is part of the game needs. This is ridiculous...decline, don’t get to play. Congrats, one more game deleted off my device. Beware this company and avoid! ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2018-08-23, version 7.9.8* I am having the same issues as most. Slow log in, unfixed bugs, and the game crashes constantly. I had played for 7 years. It does not work anymore due to the fact that there is probably no support. There are so many unresolved bugs, that it made it almost impossible to play. I couldn't upgrade my teams hideout and asked support to look into it. They just replied it was a known bug but that they weren't going to try to fix it. Now the game just crashes and doesn't seem to work at all. The help desk doesn’t respond to players’ still continual in-game problems. My energy and stamina were at 6,600 and 50 respectively. Due to programmers ineptness they were reduced to 100 and 5. I cant participate adequately in most parts of the game. 7 e-mail and help desk requests totally ignored over as many weeks. IF ANYONE MANAGING THIS GAME’S PROGRAMMING EVER READS THIS PLEASE SEND HELP! The game has changed many many times, from when I started playing .. For dinosaurs players, like myself I would say the game play has been excellent at times and rocky at others... For a new player to get into CC now.. It will be extremely difficult to be competitive due to the massive changes to the game play.. I have 2 questions though: why can I play it some places but at my house it says no internet connection when I can get on other games and on Safari? Also, why do you use up so much energy for doing the simplest of tasks? It takes so much energy to do and task at all. Overall, this game is amazing although it has a few glitches and flaws. I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a game that you can play for a long time without getting bored or tired of it. It is my #1 favorite game. It is very easy to spend more than you would on a full console game in a short time. I've been playing a long time and at the prices they charge I'm amazed anyone pays and plays that way (but some do). I give it a 5 still though because you can be very competitive without spending any real money (I never have) and just slowly gaining gold here and there from visiting a promotional offer once in a while. For what it is, it's oddly addicting. My wife and 7 year old son know that I play this game before I enjoy their company. I work 40 plus hours a week and find time to play the game. It is really sad and I should be ashamed but I still play this addictive game, GOOD JOB on this dynamic and entertaining game. ### 5/5 — Very fun and great graphics on iPad *2012-11-14, version 2.6* Very fun game whether you have an hour to plan out your "hood" or just a minute or two to collect some payola or chip away at a tough target that takes multiple attempts. I have tried to avoid paying for extra coins and dough to see how the game is and have found it quite playable, though your progress will be a bit slower. Still, they seem to throttle back so you can huddle amongst your peers rather than get squished by someone whose been playing a long time and has a huge hood. Beware, this is a bit addicting! Add your friends or family to your mafia and it will help you move up the ranks. I'd highly recommend this game--I like it so much, I actually took the time to write a review. If the mafia deal isn't your thing, I think Funzio has similar games with a different theme. So, if you put a lotta dough in the game, your sure to beat other players who have been playing the game much longer. It's bad enough you have to buy gold to get ahead in the game, but why the high price for hairstyles and clothing? And what's up with the female attire?!? We're supposed to be mobsters not hookers! You could buy a brand new playstation with a few games before you finish playing this one. I'm sorry, but I'd rather spend 50 bucks on a wii game. On the other hand, the game is fun and the graphics are good. ### 5/5 — Addicting *2012-03-01, version 1.2* I have (access to) 2 iPads and 2 iPhones and have opened Crime City accounts on each. So i have 4 Crime City accounts and this has been since maybe October 2011 and I was able to maintain my straight A's (in college) while still playing this game, but it has put some serious dents into my studying time. I have all these alarms set so that people don't rob me and all sorts of alerts to remind to upgrade my buildings so that i may bring up my hourly rate of income. I unfortunately have spent some real cash-money on this game as well. Actually, it was my boyfriend who paid for the gold items that i have. I showed him Crime City on Christmas Day and he went out the very next day and bought himself an iPad and has been hooked on Crime City ever since. He's been able to locate some good information on where to get the most for your energy spent and the most for your stamina spent etc. Sadly we go out to eat and we're "those people" who have our iPhones/iPads out at the dinner table collecting our play-money and being anti-social, or non-social. Besides all this, it's a cool game, since I'm back in school again for this semester, i have handed over one of my accounts to my mother for her to maintain, because to just leave it makes me uneasy. That's all I have to say about it all. Yahoo too! ### 5/5 — Review *2012-02-05, version 1.1.3* I've played CrimeCityHD for over 6 months now, and I just passed level 100. This game has a large following which creates a lot of diversity in PvP. The turn based gameplay with ability to pick up whenever and subsequently walk away at any time is a huge plus. What I respect most about this game is that you do NOT have to purchase real world cash items to keep up with those that do, it is largely strategy based and a balance between building and expanding your city, buying equipment for your mob, completing mission for rewards and in game money, and fighting and robbing other players to earn respect and unlock powerful items. The game does favor those who can check more frequently but that does not mean you cannot adapt to compensate respectively. It's free, it's fun, it has good graphics, and you should give it a try.
