And what the heck is the Bigfoot noise? A guy talking and then just a little whistle?!?! If the App Store made some sounds better,I would be happier than buying NBA JAM! Some calls are to muffled, making some of them less high pitched. The rabbit distress calls should be higher pitched. As the other reviewers have said, I would like to see more info with the calls. Differently worth the dollar I spent. ### 4/5 — Very nice *2010-04-15, version 0* This is a very nice critter call pogram and is very nice to have if you have kids and want them (and or your self) to be able to Id what they are hearing in the wild...Only one problem...the Mallard Hen has the Drake call associated with it and the two Mallard Duck sounds are the Hen...Don't really know about Bigfoot though..LOL I do live in Washington State and who know if I ever hear that sound I am outa here...LOL ### 3/5 — A diamond in the rough. :) *2010-03-19, version 0* I can see the developer of this app has an interest in hunting and the outdoors and I have to say this is a great idea for an app so well done there. I confess I am a bit disappointed in the quality of the audio. The sounds are quite good in their own right, but the recording quality is spotty at best. During playback there is, in many if not most cases, background hiss and the sound I am supposed to be hearing is too muffled in several. I love the inclusion of Bigfoot. :) a cheeky bit of humor that puts me to liking this developer's style. I would enjoy seeing this app grow in its ability to teach as well. Give us a little more expansion on those great tracks (nice touch making them the audio sliders btw). Perhaps tapping on the icon of each animal could activate a flip page that includes a nice representation (photo or illustration) of the critter and some text about their behavior and habitat, possibly their range, that sort of thing. I'm not a bit sorry I bought this app and good for you guys for making it. I will happily add stars for better audio quality and expanded teaching about these great creatures we tromp around the woods with. ;) I tell you what, you get this thing polished up and you've got a five star treasure on your hands. It is simple not as acute or accurate as traditional calls. That is the only way to MASTER the skill. This is great practice for amatures. I have used this app to call in cyotes, pretty much by accident. This app is as good as it gets on a phone/pod. I can complain that some sounds have audio static. Like an old analog cassett player. Not good enough to use in field.
