But, one of the things that bothers me though is having to hold the square down to draw and fill in multiple squares. I can see why it could be helpful to have a toggle, but I wish it was a setting I could change. Additionally, when choosing dmc thread, the sort doesn’t save, so you have to go in and re-sort how you want it to be the next time you go to find a color. Additionally, I wish I could choose what symbols the thread use, but haven’t been able to find a way to do that yet, hope they can continue to perfect it! ### 4/5 — I love this app *2023-10-28, version 3.07.1* The ease of use and the many functions. Adam the creator has been so amazing if I have any trouble shooting issues and super quick to respond. You can’t go wrong getting this app to make and stitch your patterns. It makes it so easy to follow with being able to mark out what you have stitched and it even tells you the % you have completed. The picture I’m working has a variegated background I wanted to get rid of, one, to get rid of it on my finished graph, and two, to save toner when I print. As I said, the background is variegated. I’m able to zoom in and easily wipe out those niggling singletons nestled right against my image. Missed something? Too bad, start over. Also I wish there was a way to start with a blank grid and create your own patterns from scratch. At the moment the only things that are really missing from the pattern editor is the ability to select a colour in your pattern and see what the DMC thread number is, and the ability to generate a preview of the pattern without the grid. Haven’t attempted to print a pattern yet, so hopefully that works ok ### 5/5 — Unbelievable *2020-04-07* I’ve used this for about 10 minutes to familiarise myself with the app. It’s so intuitive I feel I’m an expert already. The quality and accuracy is beyond belief. I bought a diamond painting that was very disappointing - I can now save my investment by using this app. I’m totally in love with the app already. The features are fantastic, the interface is brilliant. I’d like to give it 10 stars plus! ### 4/5 — Easy to use! *2020-03-29, version 2.15* The app is great and very easy to use. I digitally recreate my sketches and turn them into patterns and this tool is my first pattern purchase. Only issue is that once you’re done editing a pattern you can’t re-edit. I’ve found that one pattern I missed erasing out a couple extra stitches and had to edit it in the PDF which was more time consuming. I purchased it based on the other reviews but can honestly say I’m at a complete loss as to why so many find it great? It only allows you to upload an image to generate a pattern, not create from scratch as some of the reviews suggest. Only very simple pic art pictures would translate into a decent pattern so if you’re after an app that generates even half decent patterns, this is definitely a massive waste of your time and money. I feel as though these things are crucial to the cross stitching craft. The ability to copy/paste sections would be amazing and save so much time. You also can’t name patterns with symbols as it results in an error and you lose the entire pattern. ### 2/5 — Can’t change grid *2022-06-08, version 3.04* No customer service contact in app help section. The app has setting to change the grid, but the thick black lines every 10 squares won’t change. If I need a cross stitch grid 16 count, I can’t change these 10 count lines. Also the grid is too dark on a saved pdf pattern. The app don’t have select and mirror element feature. Wasted money. I use it for creating baskets making a pattern out of a photo. Also the freehand is good. I am quite impressed ### 5/5 — Works Pretty Well *2024-10-05, version 3.09* I have tried out several cross stitch apps but they were more expensive or had a subscription which I will not have. I wish this had a trial period but it looked like what I wanted and the reviews were good. So far it is a good app but there are a couple of things I may not have found yet or it does not have. Other apps you were able to mark the stitches with a color like red. That way each stitch that was finished could be seen as done. I have not found that here. IMO this would be a very good thing to have. It would make it easier to see what has been done. Also, i don’t know if this can be done here, and I know there is a ruler at the side, but I think it would be very helpful to have a guide (+ top and bottom and side to side) that would center in the middle of the picture so you could more easily see the center. And to be able to colorize it to whatever color you wanted and make it thick or thin. If the above things can already be done I hope I can find out about them. I looked on YouTube but there were no videos on this app. It would be useful for someone to put a thorough video there showing all of the things that can be done. The only issue I have with it is that some pictures won’t upload. Most pictures upload fine, and when they do, this app is fantastic. I prefer to work on my ipad when making patterns because it’s easier to transfer my designs and also my apple pencil to edit the patterns. This app is perfect for that and a pretty reasonable price. From what I’ve seen of reviews and updates, the developers are really good about listening to what users are looking to change.
