Cross Stitch Saga with interactive cross-stitch patterns is a mobile assistant for modern embroiderers. It is designed for easy reading and marking of patterns, to speed up the embroidery process. The application produces an interactive cross-stitch pattern from source files: • XSD — Pattern Maker v. 4 • XSP — XSPro Platinum • PAT — PC Stitch v. 6-10 • OXS — MacStitch • DIZE — CSP PDF Converter • CSS — CSSaga Chart Encrypter • The interactive pattern format SAGA is being distributed by embroidery pattern designers and embroidery kit manufacturers. The application opens up patterns of various sizes and complexity, which use: cross, half-cross, quarter-cross, petit, oblong, backstitch, longstitch, french knot, decorative stitches, beads. The application is suitable for various cross-stitching methods: "by colors", for all types of "parking", for complex patterns with backstitch, etc. To help the cross-stitcher: multi-isolation, link strands, mark mask, restricting areas, as well as jump automation between colors after marking. The application keeps a detailed calendar of cross-stitching, sprints timing and marking and goals for your pattern marks. The application works in landscape and portrait orientation, supports Split View mode, dark and light interface themes. The application has a user-friendly ergonomic interface with the ability to customize the location of toolbars and the visibility of buttons. If you’re considering purchasing, however, ***read the section on compatible file types first — it does not work with PDF files unless the design is converted to one of the supported file types. The customization possibilities are amazing! I’ve been using the app for 2 years and am still discovering new features. I hope that the developer will update the support document to reflect the changes in the interface and other changes/updates. It has so many features that it can feel overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it, it’s a joy to stitch with. Perhaps someday she can make it compatible with PDF patterns, but I still love it. More designers are becoming aware of it and are willing to provide a compatible file format when asked. ### 1/5 — So disappointed! Heartbroken. *2026-07-22, version 5.2.2* This app requires your PDF to their SAGA format. I can only find services, not apps, to do this and they charge $10 to $30 per pattern file. AI can’t convert it either. So I clicked support when it takes me to a web page in maybe Russian??? So no support, for an app that cost $15, that doesn’t work with a PDF, and in a language I do not read or speak. I can’t find any patterns I want using this format ( I did find some AI patterns that I won’t buy). Светится все невышитое, а выбранном значке только циферки появляются( количество крестиков). Теперь очень неудобно, как понять какой разброс одного цвета? Теперь все в глазах рябит. С таким успехом можно и по бумажной схеме вышивать, зачем сага? **Developer response:** Можно, функция подсветки работает. Интенсивность изоляции в саге (отдельно для технического и текстурного вида схемы) настраивается пользователем в окне настройки изоляции стежков, которое вызывается долгим нажатием кнопки-изолятора цвета (свичера). ### 5/5 — Приложение шикарное! *2026-06-02* Все очень хорошо! Then I got a notice via email that I’ll be charged monthly.
