When the words are said letter by letter after you’ve filled in the crossword, you only get random letters spoken out loud. Also, when you go to the next puzzle you occasionally get the last words read out again, even though you’re on a different screen by then. However she has already found two bugs ;) 1. She managed to drag a letter tile half way off the screen and there was no way to get it to come back on screen to be used for completing the word. She was forced to skip to the previous puzzle and then go back again to complete those words. 2. When she completes a level she quickly presses (before the reading out of the spelling of the word begins) to get to the next puzzle, the game starts reading out the spelling of the words on the new puzzle thus telling her the answer. If she waits for the reading out of the spelling of the just completed words to begin and then clicks next it cuts of the current reading and doesn’t start the reading of the next puzzle as you would expect. ### 1/5 — I paid extra to unlock the rest of the puzzles and ran into huge fail! *2014-05-30* I was testing this app on my device and downloaded the expanded set or puzzles. I set the game up on my child's device and he does not have access to the puzzles that I have already purchased. Would gladly give more stars and edit this review if developers will tell me how to resolve this problem. It's a bug. When I buy the extra puzzles they should show up on all my devices. We have done a number of puzzles but accidentally hit the back button or forward buttons and have to to the whole puzzle over again. 2) the letters need to be scattered better on the screen so that we do not have to sort them to find letters. 3) some of the letters get stuck in the wrong box. We should be able to hold the letter down to get it to move again. ### 3/5 — It is ok *2021-02-08, version 1.7* I love this app because I love crosswords . The reason I only gave it three stars is because every time I do it it will just read the words back which can be really annoying, and when I get back to the app after locking my iPad or playing another app I have to start again this can get frustrating when you do 50 or more. So it would be way better if you could have and option to not read the words back and it would be great if you could make this app save progress.
