## What is Crown Barber Studio?

Crown turns every haircut into a 3D model you can spin, save, and share.

For Barbers:
The way you cut is your signature. Crown lets you preserve every fade, taper, lineup, and beard work as a 3D capture your client can show any barber, anywhere. Build a vault of your work. Showcase your specialties. Let your style travel with the people you cut.

For Clients:
You finally got the cut just right. Don't let it disappear. Crown saves your haircut as a real 3D model. Share it with your barber before your next appointment. Send it to a new shop when you travel. Stop reaching for old photos that never quite explain it.

How it works:
1. Record a short walkaround of the head with your phone's camera.
2. Crown reconstructs the cut as a full 3D model in a few minutes.
3. View it from every angle in your personal Vault.
4. Share it with a barber via a private link or QR code.

### 1.1.8a — 2026-07-23

This update fixes a critical scanning bug and makes capture more flexible.

- Fixed: recording could not be stopped from the second scan onward in a
  session, leaving the camera stuck. Scanning is now reliable no matter how
  many clients you scan back to back.
- New "No limit" scan mode: record as long as you need for full coverage of
  the head, or anything else, and stop when you decide it's done.
- The scan guide now walks you over the top of the head, so scalp hair
  reconstructs properly. Cover everything you want rebuilt; the model can
  only reconstruct what the camera sees.
- New to Crown? A quick guided tour walks you through the app after your
  first sign-in.
- Stuck scans can be retried or removed by holding down on their card, and
  interrupted uploads now finish on their own.

### 1.1.7a — 2026-07-22

This update rebuilds the scanning experience around one idea: press record,
then get on with your day.

SCANNING
- Scans now build in the background. After you record, the app hands the
  scan off and returns you to your vault immediately, no more waiting on
  the camera screen while the 3D model is built.
- A live progress card sits at the top of your vault for every scan still
  building, and the moment one is ready its card lights up.
- You get a notification when your model is ready, even if the app is
  closed.
- Interrupted scans fixed: closing or locking the phone mid-upload used to
  strand a scan as "Queued" forever. Uploads now continue briefly in the
  background, stranded scans finish on their own, and you can hold down on
  any stuck card to retry or remove it.
- The scan guide now walks you over the top of the head. Film the scalp
  directly and cover every angle of the region you want rebuilt; the model
  can only reconstruct what the camera sees.

YOUR VAULT
- Scan cards now show a preview of the actual reconstructed head.
- Fixed scans appearing under the wrong month.

3D VIEWER
- Six lighting presets: Studio, Soft, Daylight, Golden hour, Dramatic, and
  Noir, in the app and on share pages.
- Auto-rotate mode for a hands-free turntable view.
- A proper loading view while the model streams in.

SHARING
- Share links now feature the barber's name, shop, and Instagram. Every
  cut you share doubles as your business card. Fill in your profile from
  the Profile tab to enable it.

POLISH
- Buttons respond across their full surface, including the record button
  and tab bar.
- Smoother animations, consistent haptics, and a faster-feeling launch.

This update makes scanning faster and sharing more personal.

- Scans now build in the background. Track live progress in your vault and
  get a notification the moment your 3D model is ready.
- Vault cards show a preview of your actual reconstructed scan.
- New 3D viewer controls: six lighting presets, from soft studio light to
  dramatic low light, plus auto-rotate.
- Share links now feature the barber's name, shop, and Instagram, so every
  shared cut works like a business card.
- Sharper, more responsive controls across the whole app.
