## What is Crown Prix?

Crown Prix is an arcade racing game designed exclusively for Apple Watch. Your Digital Crown becomes the steering wheel: turn it to carve through corners, feel every apex through your wrist, and chase the perfect lap on 24 real-world Grand Prix circuits. One lap, flat out — every run is a time trial against drivers around the world.

- Digital Crown Steering: Steer with nothing but the crown. The throttle is handled for you — run wide open on the straights, then wind the crown to scrub speed through the corners. Arcade-simple controls with a real motorsport feel, built for the wrist.
- Full 2026 Calendar: All 24 circuits from the 2026 Formula 1 season, from the tight hairpins of Monaco to the high-speed sweeps of Spa and Silverstone. Every track is recreated from real circuit geometry — simulator-accurate layouts at arcade pace.
- Purple Sectors: Every circuit is split into three timed sectors. Go green when you beat your personal best — go purple when you set the fastest sector time in the world.
- Global Leaderboards: A Game Center leaderboard for every circuit, plus sector record boards. See the world's top 10, your exact rank, and who owns each purple sector.
- World Championship: The top 10 drivers on each circuit score F1-style points (25-18-15...). Points across all 24 circuits combine into a global drivers' championship — climb the standings one lap at a time.

Position Board Upgrade
- Your race engineer has recalibrated the timing screens. Rankings are now colour-coded — P1 glows purple, P2-P3 in green, the midfield pack in yellow — so you can read the grid at a glance. Driver count added to every leaderboard.

Formation Lap Shortcut
- No need to scroll back to the paddock. Fire up a race straight from the leaderboard — one tap and you're on the grid.

Purple Sectors on the Pit Wall
- Your personal best sector splits now glow purple on the Watch leaderboard. The ultimate bragging rights, right on your wrist.

Paddock Pass
- A new info panel on the iOS app. Find the developer's website, GitHub, LinkedIn, and a direct line to send feedback to the engineering room.

Reliability Upgrade
- Radio Timeout Guard: Watch-to-iPhone messages now carry a 10-second timeout so comms never hang indefinitely.
- Backup Frequency: If the primary radio channel fails, data automatically routes through a secondary link.
- Double-Transmission Fix: Resolved a rare issue where the same message fired twice, causing a pit lane penalty (crash).
