## What is Cruise FM?

Cruise FM turns your iPhone into the dashboard your music deserves.

Apple organises music by artist. Cruise FM organises it by how a drive feels. Pick a mood station, tap Start Drive, and the screen becomes a cassette deck, a turning record, a mirror ball scattering light around the car.

BUILT FOR APPLE MUSIC Connect Apple Music and play your own playlists with full control inside Cruise FM — play, pause, skip, scrub the track, pick a song from the queue. Album art lands on the record and the disc. Your Music app keeps the lock screen and CarPlay controls, exactly as it should. Spotify Premium works the same way; on anything else, press play in your own app and Cruise FM runs the visuals alongside it.

TEN MOOD STATIONS Night Run. Sunset. Daylight. Rain Drive. Coastal. Mountain Pass. After Hours. Cars & Coffee. Downtown. Tunnel. Each one is a feeling rather than a genre — link any playlist you own to any station, and the drive takes care of itself.

EIGHT FULL-SCREEN MODES • Mirror Ball — a slow-turning ball scattering light around the room • Vinyl — your album art on a turning record, tonearm riding the grooves • Cassette — living tape reels that wind as the song plays • CD — a mirrored disc under jewel-case plastic • Equalizer — a segmented LED meter lit in your station's colours • Circular EQ — a spectrum wrapped into a glowing ring • Tuner — a dot-matrix head unit; drag the dial to glide between moods • Horizon — an endless grid rolling into a sliced sun

BUILT FOR THE DRIVE • One-tap Start Drive from the home screen • Auto-dim while you're moving, so the screen never shouts at you • Drive stats kept honest — an "Are you driving?" check quietly pauses the clock when the music is playing and you're not • Badges and streaks, free forever • Share a card of what you're listening to

FREE Every station and every mode is unlocked. No account needed to look around, no ads, nothing to buy.

GOOD TO KNOW Cruise FM controls your own Apple Music or Spotify app — it does not stream, download or store any music itself. Full in-app playback needs an Apple Music subscription or Spotify Premium; without either, Cruise FM runs as the visual layer while you play music in your own app. Nothing about you leaves your phone: no account, no sign-up, no tracking.

Please don't watch the screen while you're driving. That's what passengers are for.

Cruise FM is made by Strofi Technologies.

### 5/5 — The Perfect Music visualizer for IOS

*2026-08-22*

This app checks all the boxes for a good music player + visualizer. Each visual is unique and fun to use such as spinning the Record to rewind or fast forward and works flawlessly with many Music Platforms. 100% my go to music app now especially for drives.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3.1 — 2026-08-19

Your own photo behind your own station, and a light theme for driving
in the sun.

Make a station, give it a picture from your camera roll and frame it
how you like — it sits behind every visual mode. And the whole app now
has a light look for bright days; the drives themselves stay dark.

Also in this update:
• The dial is alive — stations come on air at different times of day,
and the app tells you what's on next
• Every session leaves a ticket behind: where you listened, for how
  long, and what played
• Tell the app whether you're driving or just listening, and it counts
things properly and calls them by the right name
• Spotify and Apple Music playlists are saved separately for each
station, so trying the other service no longer loses your choices
• Shuffle and repeat work properly, skip and pause respond faster, and
the progress bar no longer runs ahead of music that has stopped
• Long song titles now scroll everywhere, including sideways
• A new Y2K share card, alongside Snapshot and Ticket
• Eight more station colours, bigger controls in landscape, and a good
  number of small fixes

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-13

Your own photo behind your own station.

Make a station, give it a picture from your camera roll, and frame it
exactly how you like — it sits behind every visual mode while you drive.

Also in this update:
• Spotify and Apple Music playlists are now saved separately for each
station, so trying the other service no longer loses your choices
• Skip and pause respond faster, and the progress bar no longer runs
ahead of the music when Spotify has gone to sleep
• A new Y2K share card, alongside Snapshot and Ticket
• Eight more station colours, including earth tones and a pearl white
• Smoother visuals throughout, clearer type, and a good number of
  small fixes

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-11

Save the share card straight to your photos — one tap, no hunting through the share sheet.

Reminders, if you want them. Turn them on in Profile and Cruise FM will nudge you when a drive suits the weather or the hour. At most two a week, never while you're driving, and they quietly back off if you ignore them.

Drives start faster. Cruise FM now wakes your music itself instead of sending you over to Spotify first.

Plus a round of fixes and polish across the visual modes.
