No thanks. ### 1/5 — Forces you you sign up for the paid version *2025-08-05* Downloaded the app and got past the opening screens, and then it forced me to start a “free trial” of the premium version that will only last for three days before it starts charging me. Absolutely not! There is no apparent way to just stick with the free version or even try it out! Hey, at least take us out to dinner first, we’re not ready for that kind of commitment with an app we just met! I just want to see where my parents’ ship is for the next few weeks; I have no need for a premium paid app. If there is a way to try the free version first that I couldn’t find after looking, then that’s the app designers’ fault, not mine. ### 1/5 — Not real time and shady subscription enrollment *2025-08-03* I’m on a cruise and was curious about another cruise ship I could see in the distance. So I tried this app. BIG MISTAKE! The app is not real time, often providing day old locations. But worse is the automatic subscription enrollment with NO instructions how to cancel it. I figured it out myself and canceled. You should too! For iOS users, go to settings, click on your name then under subscriptions, then cancel. Barely functioning. Poor user interface. As soon as you open it for the first time it asks you to join a free trial. In fact it does a lot less than CruiseMapper. And Cruisemapper is free. I’m not going to pay for something that they can’t fix. ### 1/5 — Upgrade Required *2025-03-03* You have to sign up for a “free trial” upon opening the app and when you try to do that, it asks for your password. Very inconvenient especially if you can’t remember your password that you use for your Apple ID or email. Uninstalled without even trying it as that’s a silly price when you can get other apps that do similar stuff for free.
