### 4/5 — A great way to replace email...

*2015-07-08, version 1.0.3*

This is ideal for replacing text messages or email. I like the concept, but I'd prefer using standard email. This would be a great way to keep your phone data secure before selling your phone.

### 4/5 — Clandestine-ish

*2015-06-27, version 1.0.3*

Personally I treat this app more like a gimmick that an actual security system mainly because of the screenshot flaw. It’s designed well and it’s a lot of fun when all your friends have the app because it makes chatting a little more interesting. It also helps keep your messages out of the hands of snooping family members or friends.

### 4/5 — Pretty cool but troublesome

*2015-05-25, version 1.0.3*

Unlike a lot of apps nowadays, this app actually let us have some privacy and security while messaging. However, I say the downside would be to type in password to open the app every time.

### 4/5 — Interesting

*2015-05-20, version 1.0.3*

Won’t keep away the feds, but it will certainly keep prying eyes away! haha, very interesting concept

### 4/5 — Works as described!

*2015-05-19, version 1.0.3*

I really like the app because you text messages are completely private. The person that you text simply enters the password to read text. That brings me to the only drawback that I have seen. Most people are lazy and don't won't to enter a password to read the text.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2015-05-13, version 1.0.3*

I like this app becuase i can message different people and the messages wont stay for privacy. great app

### 4/5 — Good for private conversations

*2015-05-07, version 1.0.3*

Great way for private conversations. The other person has to have the app as well as the password. I give it four stars because what's protecting the actual app? Someone could open it on your phone and see the messages you've been encrypting. Maybe a password for the app itself would be useful.

### 4/5 — Clean and Easy

*2015-05-06, version 1.0.3*

The app is very clean and easy to work with unlike other apps that have ads pop up every time you click on something. Easy way to send texts to friends with privacy. I like how you can give the password to whoever you want and they are the only one who can open it and read your message.

### 4/5 — May be an useful app

*2015-04-14, version 1.0.3*

Bravos to the developers for thinking of this concept. In this essential technological age where social media + messaging is such a norm, it’s getting harder to actually get some privacy. Who doesn’t want privacy and security while using the internet? I loved the concept and i tried to use it for my friends, but my friends found it a bother to type a password/open a new app. So i don’t really use it anymore.

### 4/5 — Shady but good

*2015-03-31, version 1.0.3*

This app is a bit shady, but it definitely makes certain activities easier. Also, the amount of privacy gained after downloading this app is well worth it because privacy is hard to find now a days. If you have things to hide or if youn just want an increased sense of privacy, this app is definitely for you.

### 4/5 — Securesmy privacy!

*2015-03-14, version 1.0.3*

I love this app as it makes text messaging so much easie without people looking over ur shoulder and truly gives me privacy, but It needs one feature: to tell u when someone screenshots. That really ticks me of and ruins the concept so pls give an indicator if someone screeshots. Otherwise, nice app

### 4/5 — Interesting

*2015-03-04, version 1.0.3*

The app does what it says but it's a bit confusing to use.

### 4/5 — Privacy

*2015-03-02, version 1.0.3*

If you're always around people, let's say friends as an example, and you hate it when they're nosey about who you're texting this app isn't half bad. It's nice not to worry about messaging since it's protected. Half my friends know my phone passcode but not the one for the app. I like it.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2015-03-01, version 1.0.3*

I really enjoy this app because it allow you to send messages to anyone without worrying about others seeing what you texted unless hey know the password. its very nice, secure way to text and to chat with people..
love this app

### 5/5 — ‘’back in the days''

*2015-03-01, version 1.0.3*

Sometimes i wished we had this kind of gadgets back in the days, where privacy was something difficult to obtain with a smartphone ; sense everyone was able too take your phone or spy on it. It was difficult for everyone too have bit of privacy with the on the other line, but now i believe we quad got the thing for those , who have secrets and want them to share but just with those we truly deserve it.

### 5/5 — Nice App

*2015-02-28, version 1.0.3*

I really like this app because it enables us to send messages without having a sense of fear that someone else will read your messages. This is probably the best way to send private information such as phone numbers. It is a great app that I use all the time.

### 5/5 — Great

*2015-02-24, version 1.0.3*

This is a really cool app, my only problem is the all feels really cheap and subpar. But it works perfectly fine and as advertised. I recommend it to people who need to hide things!

### 4/5 — Great for privacy

*2015-02-22, version 1.0.3*

I really like that you have to enter a password in order to read my texts. This app is great for keeping my phone from people who like to go threw it. Great app!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Don't Like It

*2015-01-22, version 1.0.2*

What is this? Didn't even work for me..

### 1/5 — awful

*2015-01-18, version 1.0.2*

Quite a few things done wrong in the app. First of all it's not a chat/instant messaging app. You write a message click the encrypt button and after you give it a keywork to encrypt it'll prompt you to either copy an ecrypted link or share it with your contacts, via sms, facebook, twitter or what have you. The link HAS to be opened on safari on an ios device with the chat app installed to read it. This all in theory. The actual service doesn't work. Whenever I tap the encypt button and input the password it sends me to the apps app store page, and the same happens when I want to decrypt a message, this makes the app useless. Lastly the fact that to chat you have to write the message, encypt it, copy the link, share the link and the other side has to do the reverse makes it a very slow method of communication. Many better apps out there. Take telegram for instance, you can set the messages to be deleted after 5 seconds of being opened.

### 1/5 — great concept, not working

*2015-01-13, version 1.0.2*

So, I downloaded it to check it out. When you first log on, it doesnt give you instructions. I blindly tried to do stuff by first tapping on the upper left, which gave me no info on how to use it (except what happens if I stop it from running in the background) and then I tried the obivous, writing in the entry line at the bottom next to encrypt. I type in a few words, put in a password, but it just went to a safari webpage, then asked me if I wanted to open the program up in the app-store. It took me to the app-store, but did nothing else. I was very confused so I tried it a few more times. Eventually, I had to go to youtube to look it up. You do have to type in the text line at the bottom, but what happened in the video did not happen for me. In the video it went to options that included text message!
I don't know whats up but the app isnt working for me.
I also do not like how the app interface looks either. I would give this app more stars, but since I can't use it it only gets 1-star. Anyone else have this issue?

### 2/5 — Poor

*2015-04-08, version 1.0.3*

This app is not very good. And it is poorly designed and is not useful at all. I do not recommend this app.

### 2/5 — Needs work

*2015-01-20, version 1.0.2*

This app has some cool possibilities for social media like Twitter, where organizations can widely distribute info to members without worrying about the content of the social media post. Unfortunately this app did not work for me as the app kept directing me to the App Store page for the app instead. Also the limitation to Safari and iOS is a disappointment for a potentially widely based service. The overall design was good but could use a sleeker and smoother feel.

### 2/5 — Its kind of bad

*2015-01-20, version 1.0.2*

When I first opened it, I was really excited to see all the movement and the background but once I typed something and clicked encrytped, it took me to a url. It is really useless and I really don't know what it is useful for.

### 2/5 — Not what I thought it would be

*2015-01-19, version 1.0.2*

This app is not a messaging app like I thought it was. When I first opened the app I was trying to figure out what the app really did but there is very little info to show you how to use it. Apparently you just type your message in- create a password and then you can encrypt what you typed and copy it or paste to social media...tacky design and not impressed.

### 3/5 — Decent app

*2015-02-24, version 1.0.3*

Very simple to use and understand. Good for privacy, especially since it's free. Makes one feel like a spy lol, but not too exciting, but it gets the job done

### 3/5 — Great concept

*2015-02-14, version 1.0.3*

App has a great concept.. However it's not well executed, the number one problem is the text only format why not expand it to everything including email.

### 3/5 — Nice App

*2015-02-01, version 1.0.3*

I think that this is a cool app to keep messages secure and to keep the messages away from the people that you do not want seeing them.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best Texting App Available

*2015-07-08, version 1.0.3*

This app is really impressive. Encrypted messages, sleek design, extremely fast. No more security breaches. Highly recommended if you want to maintain your privacy.

### 5/5 — Great job

*2015-05-31, version 1.0.3*

In the day and age we live now, privacy is very important to me and this app is a step above other chat apps in my opinion. I even got my wife into using it so she can be safe too. The design is simple and good, but it's all about security.

### 5/5 — OMG LOVE THIS!

*2015-05-24, version 1.0.3*

I have all my friends using this app cause sometimes we need to talk about private stuff, but i wish we had this a long time ago but at least we have it know I think I’m switching this great app instead of deleting my text messages its a neat way to do this. I really recommend this app to use.

### 5/5 — Very confidential

*2015-05-05, version 1.0.3*

This app is great for having confidential conversations with someone who you only want them to see. You both have to know the password to access the conversation and it is very secure and encrypted. if anyone else has access to either your phone or the person you are talking to's phone they won't be able to acess the messages. This is the most secure messaging service I have seen and it is very useful and very safe.

### 5/5 — Easy, Reliable, Privacy

*2015-03-31, version 1.0.3*

As a consumer of technology I believe there should be privacy implementations. This app allows me to send secure messages to my friends, by a key/phrase. I cannot wait until any further additions are set in place. Maybe something similar to a chat application using a similar idea. I appreciate the fact that this app is extremely stable, and highly reliable. Thanks for bringing something fresh to the table.

### 5/5 — Best privacy app

*2015-03-25, version 1.0.3*

It's an amazing secured app for confidential chats. It's so useful to hide the stuff from spys and other people. Now a days privacy is important but it lacks in many of the apps. Crypto-chat is the best chat which i found to get the privacy. i recommend this app

### 5/5 — great

*2015-03-23, version 1.0.3*

Great app. Love this app so much. I would recommend all to download this application. It has great user interface and you can protect your chats with this.

### 5/5 — Finally Phone Privacy

*2015-03-16, version 1.0.3*

I thought this app would be another one of those "give us your information and we promise to not share it but we will still share it" type of app. It turns out it wasn't. I feel that this app does what it's meant to do. I like the look to it, haven't had any lag issues. It hasn't crashed either.

### 5/5 — Privacy is finally here

*2015-03-15, version 1.0.3*

The biggest problem of today's smartphones is privacy. We always have the fear of getting our data exposed. This app solves the problem by allowing a secure way to text and chat with people without having such risk. Its a must have for all. Its a very nice and worth a try.

### 5/5 — Love this

*2015-03-06, version 1.0.3*

I recommend everyone to download this wonderful app!
