### 4/5 — Crystal Caverns

*2015-03-03*

I find this game to be relaxing and I like the music since I enjoy 'Celtic style' a lot. If it had a variety of music for a soothing effect , the game would be perfect!

### 1/5 — Don't Bother

*2018-05-02*

First, the good part. The music and background sounds are soothing.

Now the bad part. This is the most boring game I have ever played. I have a feeling the programmer does not know how to use a random number generator to vary the sequence of the gems at each level. It one repeats a level, the exact same sequence of colors appears. This strongly suggests that there is one – and only one – sequence of colored gems that will work. For the lower levels, this works fine. But for the more difficult levels, the more astronomical become the number of combinations and therefore the odds of success by stumbling upon that one combination become vanishingly small. I also have a feeling the programmer has not studied the psychology of game theory. At all levels, you have to let the player win a significant amount of the time to keep their interest in the game strong.

If you want a challenging game, try something else. If you want to numb your brain, go ahead and play.

### 2/5 — Like but ads are awful

*2025-07-16*

I really like this game but hate the ads so much. I would buy the game to eliminate the ads. Since that’s not an option, I’m deleting the game. I play it for relaxation and the ads and the jarring “YOU LOSE” have made this game intolerable for me. It could have been better.

### 2/5 — Fun but now has ads

*2023-09-02*

It’s not relaxing to play this game anymore because of the obnoxious ad pop ups.

### 3/5 — game and sound

*2015-10-08*

I like this game but would like to see the random levels be more random. The same boards come up in the same order. I would also like it fixed so when your playing the game I can still listen to my music. Once you pass a certain level the game stops other music apps from playing

Thank you

### 3/5 — Addictive

*2014-07-30, version 1.2*

Certainly whiles away the hours

### 3/5 — Would be more fun with level select

*2014-04-08*

This is a pretty good clone, and I appreciate the Colorblind option, though I don't see why something like it couldn't be a default (I do see slight variations in the textures, but it's so samey that I prefer Colorblind mode even though I see colour just fine). My main complaint is I don't see any obvious sort of level selection option, should I quit the game and come back; I have to start over from the beginning to know if I played them all. I do have a small problem with the fact the pieces are not randomized; on one hand, it means every puzzle SHOULD be solvable, but on the other, it's infuriating to realize the developer has DELIBERATELY withheld useful pieces (say, green/heart pieces when the bottommost accessible row is entirely green/hearts) and is basically wasting moves. It is also somewhat sensitive in that if I lift my finger ever so slightly, it will register that as a shot and throw away a move (or two or three!).

### 4/5 — Laid back fun

*2018-01-16, version 1.3*

Great time killer. Thanks!

### 4/5 — It's a pretty time-waster

*2017-09-01*

and an enjoyable way to kill a few minutes

### 4/5 — Play this all the time!

*2016-02-28*

I've really enjoyed this game. I don't have any suggestions yet because I just started but I hope there are more than 50 puzzles :)

### 4/5 — Simple and addictive

*2015-10-17, version 1.2*

Just difficult enough to be interesting

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — As good as it gets

*2025-05-13, version 2.0*

All of the games from this creator are top notch, really well designed, colourful and pretty addictive. To make it even better and earn that last star, I would add a slight pause of a few seconds after a failed attempt or completed game to allow the player to assess what went wrong or to see the completed empty game board. Too often you suddenly cut to an ad, leaving the player wondering whether they have won or lost the level. Other than that, it's pretty perfect.

### 5/5 — In the most stressful times I rely on this game to soothe my nerves

*2022-09-29*

I think this is my first review. I believe this is the most under rated app - it is so awesome that I think it should be as prevalent as Solitaire . it certainly deserves my praise.

The free version has been honest & there’s no gimmicks or tricks to generate income for the developers. There aren’t’ even any ads! I’ve been a user for nearly a decade. This is the only game to win my loyalty., yet I’ve never spent a dime for my hours of enjoyment!

The developer seems to have some insight into mental health. I wonder if there’s a background on psychology? The other games offered seem equally impressive .IfI was still a practicing RN, I would recommend this game to every patient suffering from mental health crisis I encountered.
It is simple enough to engage an agitated person with mild dementia!

The decency & integrity of the developer is refreshing & reassuring.

If you’re a health care provider, I strongly recommend this for emotionally distressed clients. If you are “triggered” & unable to recover your composure - give this a try!

### 5/5 — Great even if you don’t like games like this

*2019-04-25*

I hesitated when I saw a negative review. But then I remembered that I like all of this developer’s games. I was not disappointed.

I actually played 20 games in a row the first time that I opened it.

I found the hand crafted puzzles particularly satisfying.

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2018-09-07, version 1.3*

Great game .. Thank you

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2018-08-21, version 1.3*

Love this game! Great there are 3 levels of difficulty. Depends on my mood which I choose... I spend far too much time on this! Ha ha.. Great game, all pro's so far, no cons

### 5/5 — Crystalcaverns

*2018-06-23*

This is the best game out. Love it

### 5/5 — An old friend

*2018-04-07*

Crystal Caverns was the first game I downloaded on my old iPhone 4. You’d think an old friend would give you a break, wouldn’t you? But it doesn’t. It’s just as challenging after all these years. No ads, no bugs, more puzzles.

### 5/5 — Love Bubble Games

*2017-04-16*

I play a lot of bubble games but this one is my favorite. I love that it has 3 modes. And it works real good.

### 5/5 — Fun bubble shooter

*2016-09-21*

Perfect for multiscreening in front of the TV with. I love the Celtic+rainy soundtrack. Thanks Sarah Pierce Games! I hope you come out with a physics-based game soon!

### 5/5 — Love it :-)
