## What is Crystl?

crystl for iPhone is the companion to crystl for Mac, the desktop app that runs your AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini). Pair over your local network to watch shards live, read transcripts, approve tool requests, answer agent questions, and steer sessions from anywhere in the house. Requires crystl running on your Mac.

Messages and question cards behave better in this update.

• Long messages keep their beginning visible while sending, stay in the queue, and expand to the full text after delivery.
• Question cards can be dismissed from a conversation, and stay in the inbox until you answer them.
• Approval and question cards sit alongside the conversation instead of over it, show one at a time so your messages stay visible, and no longer flash during automatic handling.
• Shard actions are separated from the open arrow for clearer tapping.
• Codex interface and status text no longer appear as a chat reply.

Supervising from your phone is quicker and calmer this time.

• A message you send appears straight away, with a clear sending state and a retry if it doesn't land.
• Reading the conversation while your agent works no longer pulls you back to the bottom. A new button takes you there when you want it.
• The terminal view zooms smoothly and stays readable at every size.
• A message from one agent to another now shows who sent it, instead of appearing as yours.
• Watching a working agent uses far less data.

your shard list now says when a worker can't run — out of quota, expired credentials, or waiting on a retry — and when it is back. conversations stay put when a shard closes while you are reading one.

• Tap any notification to open the shard it came from. If that shard has closed since, the app tells you rather than doing nothing.

• The inbox now has two sections: needs-you for approvals and questions, and notifications you can swipe to dismiss.
• Card pushes open straight to their card, and scheduled reminders say so.
• Clearing notifications on the Mac clears your phone inbox too.
• Dictation reliably delivers your last sentence to the draft.
• A failed refresh shows a banner instead of quietly keeping stale rows.
