Very high level stuff and starts out small so you can see the patterns build. Also has a computer so you can understand how the rest of the game would play out, and prompts with hints when you get a puzzle wrong so that you can start to see the solution but still solve it yourself. I love the alternative move the CPU throws at you, being able to see the lines to show why you got the wrong move, testing your knowledge with set parameters for difficulty, theme, etc. I’ve used chessscom, Lichess, Chessable, Aimchess and books but for tactics I’m sticking to CT-ART 4.0 for my improvement. ### 4/5 — Am I rated higher than I really am?!! I deleted it from my phone because I took a break from chess. I just redownloaded the app and it's asking me to purchase the full version again. Many chess puzzles only show one variation. You find the move and the opponent falls for the trick even when it isn’t forced. This course shows you that you need to be able to calculate all the responses from your opponent. The tactics are themed and eventually after repeating the lessons you will inevitably improve your calculation skills and exploit opportunities in your own games.
