Luckily, the old version is still functional and saves the day. If they turn the old version off, my 500+ bottle cellar will go back to existing in Excel. ### 4/5 — Straightforward, capable database *2024-12-10, version 1.9.0* I’ve loved this app. I’ve voluntarily paid since the beginning of use in 2019. I’ll admit I paid what I considered a reasonable value for the service, $40 a year or equivalent of a decent bottle of wine for me. I don’t need reviews. I don’t need a “community”. I don’t need “drink now” assistance or photos. I just need the database function and that is solid in this app. I dread the day the old app is cut off and the upgrade to the new version is mandatory. I will not pay the excessive rates they expect. My cost would be 10x higher per year which far exceeds the value for a database function. I’ll drop it when that occurs. It’ll be a pity, but I can’t imagine the server space for my data costs that much to maintain. ### 2/5 — Dated and Clunky *2024-09-28, version 1.9.0* The interface is dated and clunky and is in dire need of a UX developer. The only feature that really seemed useful was the Ready to Drink list and now that’s a subscription feature, so the app is literally just a simple list of the wine I have. I could just as easily use a spreadsheet. ### 2/5 — Dissapponting *2024-09-13, version 1.9.0* I used CT for 8 years. Prolly the best app out there when I started my cellar. Since then I’ve had to pay a yearly ‘voluntary’ assessment and if I missed the payment by one day then I lost data (voluntary - hmmm). Through the 8 years there’s been few changes/upgrades/improvements and now they want to charge me $160/year to use it. I’ve started looking at other apps with better evaluations (CT’s were always off), more comprehensive wine info, free critics ratings, easier functionality, much better graphics and 3D models of my wine room; all for 60% of the cost. If the designer is interested I suggest you hold off on the mandatory costs, upgrade your app and then ask for money. It’s hard to make a tough management decision that risks today dollars. ### 3/5 — It’s good for some not for all *2024-06-01, version 1.9.0* I have been using it for some time. It’s excellent for tracking inventory. As far as valuing your cellar or drinking windows it’s not very accurate. I’ve emailed (as another review online suggested) to have values adjusted for market and only received lip service and a refusal to adjust the prices. Almost across the board the values assigned by cellar tracker are lower than wine searcher or any prices I’ve seen on the shelves. It is good for charts and keeping your own notes on wines and it used to track the price I paid for the bottles (as a cellar total $) but I can’t find that now so you only get their cellar value and have to look at each individual bottle to see what you paid and total it yourself. Correct me if I’m wrong. I will probably pay the $60.00 annually because there is just enough benefit to it. ### 3/5 — What happened to Corkz? *2024-06-01, version 1.9.0* Hey, I love CellarTracker, although the Corkz app had a much better visual graphics orientation. But recently, it seems like the Corkz app no longer connect to the database for CellarTracker. Did you guys have anything to do with this? Is there any chance that we your customers could convince you to reverse whatever happened? ### 4/5 — Excellent app *2024-05-04, version 1.9.0* Easy to use and much better than the new version. ### 4/5 — PDF *2024-04-11, version 1.9.0* I have used this app since 2/12/2019. Am happy with this product in general. I would appreciate the ability to scan PDF files into each wine portfolio. I would think access to those PDF files would gained in the “Learn more about this wine” heading. Because space on your servers may be an issue, a third party storage connection could be used. For example DropBox. Any 3rd party vendor of your choice may be looking for that opportunity. Or have it be a choice for a user to have that option. ### 5/5 — Customer service is awesome! *2023-12-18, version 1.8.1* When do you ever get a personalized email almost immediately after raising an issue? You will with Cellar Tracker. Even better, I raised an issue that was a glitch which they promptly responded to acknowledging the glitch . . . Then four months later I got a second email from them (unsolicited by me) notifying me that the glitch had been fixed. Really a breath of fresh air to receive such attentive responses. ### 5/5 — Love these guys *2023-12-02, version 1.8.0* Not only is this a good app (stable, easy to use, full of features), but the database of wines is comprehensively full of global and local wines and if your wines isn’t there it’s super simple to request and they’ll add it in less than a day Couldn’t be happier with this app ### 3/5 — I like it but,… *2023-11-14, version 1.8.0* My one complaint, my cellar consist of racks in various rooms, and each rack with 50 to 60 bottles on each rack, totaling just under 400 bottles. Finding that bottle is a game of hide and seek. Take a look at how VinoCell does storage, much better. So why am I here , I like the bar code scan, in this app, but I hate the storage option. Fix it and I’ll likely send a payment and move to this app. ### 4/5 — Resourceful app, but needs updates!! *2023-06-09, version 1.7.6* I use the app to read quality reviews from consumers who seem to be avid wine drinkers with experienced palates. The general rating for each wine gives me a good indication of the quality of the wine. I do find many wines to have a lot longer shelf life or prime drinking window than most people share. The latest version needs up update asap! There is a horizontal thick bar that comes halfway down the reviews when reading them. It’s clearly a glitch. I’ve deleted and redownloaded a couple times to see if it’s something else. No luck. Secondly, when using the search bar, I wish it would remember my previous searches below so I can simply click on it again if needed. I do go back and forth to compare different wines and vintages and would love to see this feature. If you are a developer, please listen to your target audience and make these subtle yet cleaner and more streamlined changes and updates. Thank you! ### 4/5 — Needs an update for iOS 16.4 *2023-04-14, version 1.7.6* Been using Cellar Tracker as a paying customer for years. With the 16.4 update to iOS and iPadOS, the Cellar Tracker banner, which is usually locked to the top of the screen, now intermittently appears in random places on the screen when scrolling through a list of wines. Not a dealbreaker, but it gets annoying after awhile. ### 4/5 — Good, functional, needs updating/tweaking *2023-03-09, version 1.7.6* I am a paying customer and have been for quite a few years. It’s very helpful to manage my recently growing inventory. A few things to improve: - A sort by delivery date. When I get a lot of new wine in, I’d like to be able to sort the new stuff out so I’m not considering it to drink while it is resting from travel. - Really need a flag, tab, a sort, to keep track of wines that have been Coravined. Right now the only way to do that in the app is to put a bottle note in, and can’t sort on that! - I find they have 99% + of the wines I get already identified. However, I agree with other comments that when you do get something not already identified, the add new wine process is cumbersome and time consuming, and you usually have to go the website to do it. - I have talked to them before about this and it hasn’t been done yet, but being able to copy an entry on the app would be a great time saver. When you get different wines from the same winery or place and all you really need to change is wine info, cost and location, copying all the other information per entry would be very helpful! The UI still seems quite dated and is not very intuitive. I find Vivino to be much better as a free product. If you could provide price, transparency, user reviews and expert tasting notes, I would see, and even pay for, value. ### 1/5 — Bummer *2024-08-18, version 1.9.0* I’m not a fan of developers that get you to invest hours of time loading data into their app and then start charging $40 a year for a service they used to provide for free. I used to be able to view ending drink date to avoid bottles aging out in my cellar. Not at all, the website does many things way better, especially when managing multiple bottles. But this is nice for finding a specific bottle to open, and for removing it from your cellar. I write this review to contrast it with the new app. That one is far less focused on your cellar and more on wine in general. (I’m expecting that they’ll be selling ad space to wineries soon.) It’s less of a “cellar tracker” and more of a “cellar filler” and wine guide. While I don’t expect this app to be further developed, I’m hoping they incorporate this feedback into the direction of the new app. Or at least keep this one functional. ### 5/5 — Much better than the “new” version *2025-07-11, version 1.9.2* This does what one wants, the new one is garbage, tries to be social media not a serious wine program ### 5/5 — Please maintain Legacy *2025-06-15, version 1.9.2* As soon as I saw the updated Legacy tag on the Icon I thought, “its only a matter of time before they stop supporting this app.” Please keep this app available. First online, and then with the app as well. They are a powerful team, easy to use, with invaluable community wine reviews, and a simple, effective UI. Bravo! ### 5/5 — The best wine inventory app *2024-03-26, version 1.8.1* I’ve been using this app for about 10 years now. When I first got the app it was about the only thing out there. They’ve kept it updated it still the best app out there. Aside from the many pros about this app the only con I can think of is that when you’re adding multiple bottles of the same wine, such as when you buy a case of something you have to put all the bottles in one bin and then manually move them to the individual bins.
