## What is CTM BusFinder?

CTM BusFinder is the Official App of CTM SpA that guides you during your trips in the Area of Cagliari.

Through the App, CTM does not access to any of your  personal data stored in the device.

With CTM BusFinder you can:
- Read the last news retrieved from the CTM site and Twitter account;
- See the route of the bus lines on the map with the list of bus stops and schedules;

Dieses App ist eine Katastrophe wenn es um ticket kaufen und Tickets scannen im Bus! Bitte kauft euch kein ticket über App sondern nur am Automat oder Tabak geschafft. App ist nur für Navigation nützlich und das wars.

### 1/5 — Serious Safety Incident – 13-Year-Old Child Left Alone by CTM Bus

I am extremely disappointed with CTM Cagliari after a serious safety incident involving our 13-year-old son.

On 12 August 2026, at around 23:26, we were travelling as a family of five on Line 1. We wanted to get off at San Michele. The STOP buttons near us did not appear to work.

The middle door opened only for a few seconds. Our 13-year-old son managed to get off, but the door closed immediately before my mother and our 7-year-old child could leave. My husband and I were near the rear door, which did not open.

The bus then drove away with the rest of our family still inside, leaving our 13-year-old son alone outside late at night.

We immediately shouted to the driver that our child was outside. I went towards the driver, my husband tried to get his attention, and even another Italian passenger tried to explain the situation to him. Despite this, the bus continued moving.

Our son did not speak Italian, had no mobile roaming and did not know the address of our accommodation. He had to run after the bus in the dark and was exposed to traffic. We were only reunited because the bus happened to stop at a red traffic light.

We submitted a formal complaint to CTM. Their response mainly explained which doors passengers are supposed to use and stated that the driver may not have known that we were travelling together.

This completely misses the central issue.

Once we were shouting that our minor child had been left outside, and another passenger was also trying to explain the situation, it should have been obvious that there was a serious safety problem.

CTM also did not answer whether the STOP buttons were checked, why the middle door was open for such a short time, or whether the vehicle and driver were properly investigated.

Their final response was simply that our complaint could not be accepted.

As tourists, this was an extremely frightening experience and a terrible impression of public transport in Cagliari.

### 1/5 — Strafe bezahl, obwohl Ticket bezahlt

Mal abgesehen davon, dass die App unglaublich spinnt und man sich immer neu anmelden muss und es manchmal garnicht klappt, es wird nicht direkt klar dass man NACHDEM man schon bezahlt hat, noch auf “validate” klicken muss. Wir wurden kontrolliert, haben seit Tagen immer alle unsere Tickets BEZAHLT, und mussten dann eine Strafe von 106€ Zahlen, da mein Freund und ich nicht auf diese “validate” Taste gedrückt haben (aber trotzdem bezahlt, und man kann auch immer die Uhrzeit sehen, wann). Einfach nur verrückt. 

Plus die Busfahrer sind immer unfreundlich und genervt

Application is really logical and easy to purchase tickets. I did it for a family of five within minutes on the bus after arriving in Cagliari for the first time without speaking a word of Italian! App gives you live updates for your nearest stop for all available bus routes and tells you how to walk to the stop on foot so know need to use Apple/google maps. Also you can select on the map your destination so if you are unsure of street names this really helps. 

As a tourist this saved me a lot of headaches. €12 for a week pass, bargain 👍

### 1/5 — The ticket inspectors are corrupt and greedy for money

I got on the bus and told the driver I needed to buy a ticket and he said i needed to get this app, I downloaded it and when i tried to buy a ticket it said payment failed, when i reached my destination the officers boarded the bus and prevented me from leaving, asking me for my ticket, I explained what happened and he rudely responded “So you don’t have a ticket” and offered no help with buying the ticket and wanted the €50 fine. How can you fine me €50 for the fault of your own transport systems app? Its ridiculous and I won’t be visiting Cagliari any time soon again.
