Gekauft hatte ich die App in der Hoffnung, dass es eine Arranger Ansicht, die die aktuelle Abspielsequenz oder zumindest das aktuell angewählte Arranger Event zeigt. Das fehlt bislang aber noch. Zwischen den Arranger Events springen kann man über die Shortcuts. Il n’est pas possible de sélectionner une tranche en cliquant dessus pour ouvrir un édit, ou ouvrir une équipe et la modifier de façon tactile. Die Undo/Redo-Funktion sowie die „Big Transport Bar“ in Cubase iC Pro 1.3 sollen den Remote-Recording-Prozess vereinfachen und gleichzeitig den Fokus klar auf die Performance des Künstlers bei der Aufnahme legen – und eben nicht auf die Technik. Undo und Redo ermöglichen es, eine Aufnahme via einfachem Tap zu löschen und sofort neu zu starten. Die neue „Big Transport Bar“ erlaubt die Steuerung, ohne die Aufmerksamkeit auf die Remote zu richten, sodass die Konzentration auf eine perfekte Performance erhalten bleibt. Eine blinkende Remote würde den Fokus hingegen stark auf iC Pro lenken. Die Buttons und ihre aktuelle Funktion sind jedoch durch ihren farbigen Status eindeutig gekennzeichnet. Wir hoffen, dass macht in der Form Sinn für Dich, und dass Du viel Freude mit Cubase iC Pro 1.3 und Cubase hast! Feels like a very old app. There are a lot of features missing and basic zoom and visibility features don’t work. The recording and the app itself works, but it’s inconvenient for pro users. I have to set up markers because in the project there is only a timecode visible, no bars. Expensive for what it is. But the major oversight of having a ruler grid set to seconds instead of bars renders this app frustratingly useless as a remote control. It is almost impossible to accurately set up an 8 bar loop to record to! Really! Did I already say it’s so frustrating? It makes matters worse when a quick scan of user forums reveals that this fundamental feature has been requested for over 10 years. The cue mix and key commands are wonderful, but the grid actually makes this remote a time waster, not a time saver. Cubase iC Pro supports using markers, which comes in pretty handy when it comes to loop recording. Here I'd suggest to create several cycle markers in your Cubase project (e.g. individual cycle markers for several verses and/or chorus parts etc.), which all will be displayed in Cubase iPro. Once done you can pretty easily jump to those cycle marker sections via simple tap(s) from within iC Pro to play these in a loop. Hope that makes sense for you workflow-wise. Quite useful, despite the project tracks are displayed without any events details, only as colored bars. But having all the “motorized” faders on the touch display is handy. ### 4/5 — very useful *2024-03-16, version 1.2.7* Works fine for me using iPhone with an Apple M1 desktop and Cubase 12. I also use an earlier version of this app with an old iPad (v4) and it works fine ... showing that you don't always have to throw out older technology. This is a very useful app for recording when you need to be at a distance from your computer. And also for playback at a distance from your control desk. Recommended! ### 4/5 — V1.2.7 fonctionne à nouveau *2024-03-13* Crash avec Cubase 12 (et 13 je suppose) résolu par cette dernière version. Quand elle marche c’est une bonne appli bien pratique. Mais quand ça se remet à planter suite à je ne sais quelle maj, on regrette son prix. Donc, pourvu que ça dure !! 😉 Permet de créer autant de boutons raccourcis qu’on souhaite sur toutes fonctions de cubase. Thanks Lars ### 1/5 — Funktioniert leider nicht *2024-02-23* Einen Preis sollte man nur dann verlangen, wenn man die Funktion zu 100% garantieren kann. Das ist hier leider null gegeben. Schon allein, weil so viele Schnittstellen und Protokolle betroffen sind. Bei mir funktioniert es mit Cubase Elements 13 weder auf einem iPad noch auf einem iPhone. Von einer Einschränkung für Elements habe ich nirgends etwas gelesen. Entsprechend würde ich gern 0 Sterne vergeben, aber das geht ja leider nicht. *****Nachtrag***** Nach langer Zeit habe ich nun eine Standardantwort von einem Steinberg Entwickler bekommen. „Standard“, weil die gleiche Antwort auch im Steinberg Forum, auf das ich gleich mal verlinkt wurde, zu lesen ist. Dort liest man auch von anderen Usern, die das gleiche Problem haben. Alle Artikel und Hilfstexte von Steinberg kannte ich auch schon vorher. Im Grunde löst bei vielen wohl ein Neustart oder 30-40 mal neu Starten der App das Problem. SORRY!- das ist nicht wirklich eine Lösung für eine kostenpflichtige App. Und schon gar nicht, wenn man mitten in einer Recording Session ist. Auch wird das Problem technisch in keinster weise beleuchtet. Also gehe ich mal davon aus, dass man bei Steinberg auch im dunkeln tappt, und nur gerne weiter die 19,99€ abgreift. SEHR SCHADE! 2.Nachtrag: Lars, ihr fragt nach mehr Details. Aber welche Details denn genau? Ja, ich habe alle Leitfäden und Anleitungen befolgt. Ich habe Bonjour mehrfach installiert und deinstalliert ( natürlich am Ende wieder installiert), ich habe die Windows Firewall während der Tests komplett deaktiviert und starte ständig alle Geräte neu, so wie es empfohlen wird. Cubase iC Pro is an incredible helpful tool especially when I work on recordings without anybody else being present. For the most part I’m using it to start and stop recordings w/o the need to make a run to my desktop. It is not only a time saver, but also allows me to stay more focused on the parts that I want to record rather than controlling Cubase directly. I’ve tried it in the past, too, but don’t recall how reliable is used to work. I’ve seen this before years ago and was deterred by people saying support was dropped. I started looking again because I need a new keyboard and I don’t want another 100% keyboard, but the record, ffw, rewind, jump to beginning, etc. key-binds are on the number pad. Saw people say support was picked up again, so gave it a shot and not only was my problem solved with $16, but Steinberg ran it in for a touchdown imo. With Cubase IC Pro I can get a 60% keyboard and not only retain functionality, but gain more shortcut control over Cubase. My only suggestion is they make the project view grid switchable between bars/measures and time. I can only see time and can’t find a way to see measures, but that may be on me. Other than that, great job Steinberg team.
