I’m trying to download Cubasis as I bought the steinberg UR12 soundcard a couple of months ago and I was working with GarageBand with my iPad but I was finding it a bit limited so I thought I would download cubasis LE because it came the free download with the steinberg sound card. The point is I pressed to download it and it supposedly started but it’s like in a stand by state. The square button it there but it doesn’t appear any blue line showing is downloading. I’d like to attach a picture but it’s not possible. Any help please? Quando importa um audio o programa tenta acomodar o audio ao grid e nao te deixa arrumar. Aí se voce importar dois audios do mesmo concerto e tentar sincronizar ambos pra mixar, e o programa não sincronizar direito, ja era, não dá pra arrumar! Eu comprei o upgrade interno (cubasis 2 versao completa), joguei dinheiro fora. Porem se voce trabalha com click e midi principalmente, aí ele é bem bom. Como eu toco musica clássica sem click, e preciso mixar recitais inteiros... nao serve! Infelizmente a sugestão do desenvolvedor na resposta não resolveu o problema. Mesmo com o grid “off” ainda não é possível alinhar perfeitamente as duas pistas, e existe sempre um pequeno delay entre as duas. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Software that is never free and no better than the rest *2024-10-30, version 2.8.6* Don’t waste the time downloading. In short this paid app came with an instrument that doesn’t have Bluetooth, so when they reply to people that you need to connect the device it came with… the app only allows Bluetooth midi connection for that so it keeps itself in Demo mode. Cubase has better marketing people than developers because the amount of free or significantly less cost do the same work or better. ### 1/5 — Too Restrictive to test *2022-01-08, version 2.8.6* Can’t record anything. Sadly the software only allows me to use 2 channels, most of the options are greyed out and others say this feature is only available when you upgrade. Nowhere when I bought the Steinberg did it say the software was basically a taster version so I feel this was misleading and useless for the purpose I bought it for. ### 1/5 — RIP OFF!! Don’t buy!! *2020-10-21, version 2.8.3* In order to try the Inter-App feature you have to buy the Full Feature Set, but I find out the Inter-App Routing feature does not work properly with my Amp Sim Apps. It’s distorted with clicks & pops. I used this APP for less then 1 hour trying to get it to work properly. Requested a refund and was denied. Now I’m stuck with this GARBAGE 🤬 Edit: Their reply is Misleading & False. The Inter-App feature is not included in the Demo. You HAVE to purchase the Full Feature Set in order to try the Inter-App feature. Die Tipps aus dem Forum lauten 1. Cubasis LE starten 2. Audio Device anschließen (mit Originaladapter und Stromversorgung). Führt zu gar nichts, keine Aktivierung, keine weitere Option, nur die 30 Minuten - Demoversion (wozu soll das gut sein...?). Auch die Reihenfolge umzudrehen (Device einstecken, App starten) hat denselben Effekt. And I am quite literate digitally. I have a UR 22 mkII, with an existing Steinberg acct from the desktop DAW, and for all of you complaining about needing the hardware, ESPECIALLY using an Apple device....,how can you NOT GET THE SIGNIFICANCE of the manufacturer needing control over BOTH hw&sw !.???! well let’s just say as a long time pro engineer w national acts under my belt I wouldn’t give your demo 10 seconds of listening time. Steinberg may not be easy to learn but nothing comes close in terms of its sheer power and capability, and admittedly the visual interface could be friendlier (but we are talking many years since we used any of their s/w). We didn’t have difficulty accessing our Steinberg acct A few months ago. So we are , yes dropping the 50$ sight unseen on this version and KNOW it’s a bargain since we were trained with real audio gear as an AES member and every type of software stretching back to Dr T on an ATARI ...SOOOOO if you lookin 4 friendly we suggest you stay OUT of the music biz 😂. I’ve seen professional audio engineers switch from impressive Pro Tools setups and sell them to acquire the quality of Cubase’s or Nuendo’s audio engine after taking demos to their studios! Remember, to get the full benefit of Cubasis you’ll need compatible hardware. With the Neve partnership, I use the UR-RT4. It’s amazing to hear the quality audio that can be recorded on an iPad these days!
