Errors, delayed returns, increased fees and pushes to “join”. Very frustrating compared to what it used to be. ### 4/5 — Lots to love, but… *2026-04-01, version 3.11.1* The dimensions are way off, so for the meantime I will just use the free option and see if it’s s something I’m doing wrong or if that’s just the way it works. I hope it gets better with more experience. ### 2/5 — Buggy and annoying. *2025-10-09, version 3.8.1* App full of bugs, sometimes won’t even load up when you open it. Newest update is now having constant upload failures. More annoyingly, they STILL haven’t added back the 3D mesh when you’re scanning so you know what’s scanned and what’s not. This is beyond stupid and my review will remain low until they put it back. Actively trying to convince my job to stop using this service and find an alternative. ### 4/5 — Confusing but it works *2025-09-02, version 3.7* Scanned and it disappeared but then I open it later and it’s there… odd but it finally worked ### 4/5 — “Initializing dark magic…” *2025-08-16, version 3.7* The app works fine, but I find the startup phrase “Initializing dark magic” very unprofessional for a business tool. This is client-facing software, and language like that feels out of place. Please update to something more neutral. ### 2/5 — Free Version Does Not Work *2025-06-21, version 3.6.1* After several weeks of trying to upload one free scan for a property, the order will not go through. The only reason for 2 stars is at least their support team has prompt replies, but otherwise the problem solving or quickness of problem solving is lacking. The app is a great idea and APPEARS to be user friendly, if only it actually functioned after trying to upload a scan. ### 2/5 — Square Footage Not Accurate *2025-05-15, version 3.5.1* Cubicasa used to be known for its accuracy with floor scans, but it’s sad to see that not be true today. The past few scans I have had to get corrected, as there are missing features, doors, etc. It all seems very rushed, even with the paid plans. My latest scan was hundreds of square feet off, and they told me they could not fix the number. Unfortunately, I will have to stop using this for my business as even with approximate measuring, it’s so far off it’s not viable or trustworthy. ### 5/5 — Truly amazing *2025-02-13* From a contractor perspective, this app is game changing for me over the past 10 years of my career. I have always had to sketch out a rough floor plan on paper with dimensions and scan that to the computer and send that to someone on Fiverr to create a basic 2-D floor plan which then I would use for rough planning construction cost on renovation projects. The amount of detail the app captures while recording is truly amazing the latest house that I’m working on Has a very insane layout and the video process perfectly I’m not want to leave reviews too often, but when I do it truly mean something ### 2/5 — Down hill disappointment *2025-01-14, version 3.3.1* They have used to be an amazing app, now they price you on everything, their simple black and white floor plan used to be amazing, now it’s $15 dollars a plan. No longer interested in working with these guys. ### 5/5 — So simple *2024-11-22, version 3.2.1* I love this app! The amount of time saved is worth every penny. The turnaround times are also great, usually much quicker than stated. I use it mainly to produce CAD plans and being able to get the DWG files is the deal breaker for! Keep up the good work Guys. A truly worthwhile app! ### 2/5 — Degraded significantly in recent updates (post iOS 18) *2024-11-19* I use this app nearly every day for work. It has been a reliable, reasonably accurate tool up until recently. Since iOS 18 launched, the subsequent updates to this app have, at least in my experience, made the service less accurate, significantly buggier (crashes, sq ft accuracy no longer as reliable), and lost functionality (WHY get rid of the Lidar grid while scanning?? Why can’t I scroll thru the preview smoothly anymore before uploading??) I’ve had to redo far more scans recently due to these recent shortcomings. Very disappointing. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Overheating Issues *2026-07-03, version 3.13.1* Ever since the latest update, my phone gets incredibly hot. With or without a case. This in turn causes major lag issues and even goes so far as losing location and needing me to walk back and rescan a previously scanned area. Absolutely unusable! ### 1/5 — Unreliable, Vague billing, extra costs for everything *2026-06-24, version 3.13* Can’t stand this app. Doesn’t work like it says. You try to “send” a scan and the app says you can close the app and do other tasks on your phone. Not true. The app struggles to open, struggles to send my orders, now they charge for dimensions, billing is vague and inconsistent. Do better CubiCasa. ### 1/5 — Won’t load *2026-06-24, version 3.13* Won’t load into the app ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2026-05-23, version 3.12* Created an account. Scanned the house. It promised a 6 hour turn around. Signed back into the app using my apple account and it stalls. When I relaunch it says “The social login provider’s token has been revoked.” The app doesn’t work any more and I didn’t received the drawings. ### 1/5 — Overpriced Fees!!! *2026-03-07, version 3.11* This service is great however they kill you with “large property” fees. They deem just about any moderate sized home as “large” because they include wall thickness and spaces not typically counted as square footage. As a real estate photographer, I’ve lost money on a lot of listings just using their services. Their solution is to become a preferred photographer and do a floor plan for every single listing, which isn’t always practical for every listing and not every client wants a floor plan. I’ve had to stop offering this service for larger homes because it will cost me more than I will make for offering the service. ### 1/5 — Overcharged and ignored *2026-03-05, version 3.11* This was my first time using the app and was prompted with a Free first scan of a home. After submitting my first scan I was charged $52.50. I then contacted customer support and was ignored. It’s incredibly frustrating to be deceived and ignored. Also my scan was incorrect by 600 sq. Ft. ### 1/5 — Can’t onboard *2025-11-11, version 3.8.2* Trying to use the app on my iPhone 17 pro and it doesn’t work. I can’t get past the privacy notice page. I scrolled to the bottom of the page, and also tried tapping the “scroll to Privacy Notice” button and nothing happens. Most likely a bug affecting iOS 17. Hope they fix it ### 1/5 — False advertising *2025-08-27, version 3.7* The app says you can do a floor plan in five minutes but once you finish walking around, it takes 6 to 12 hours for them to process it. ### 1/5 — Find another app *2025-07-30, version 3.7* CubiCasa just announced they will automatically upload all of your floor plans to Redfin. This change is a huge disappointment and is the last straw. Other issues: 1) If you are at a location with no cell service this app will not open, it will freeze when loading up even when you have offline mode activated. 2) Sq ft measurements always seem to be wrong and clients complain about it. 3) The quality of scans has been going down hill. You can tell who ever puts them together just slaps text on the floor plan with no rhyme or reason. Text will be in a wall, sideways, uneven, etc. I have to fix the text after every scan. I am now looking for a better floor plan app. ### 1/5 — Expect extra charges *2024-11-03, version 3.2* I’ve had the app for about a month and did a few 2d scans which I was happy with. Did a poor job of scanning my house, stuff on the floor, dogs in and out, and this amazing app 6 hours later sent me a perfect blueprint with dimension to my email. First one is free! Can't imagine what it would cost to have an architect do the same. ### 5/5 — Great Product, Great Customer Servicr *2025-08-04* Cubicasa has been a game changer for my business. As a realtor, I used to pay $119 for a basic floorplan through my photographer…but with Cubicasa, I can create a basic floorplan for free and receive it within 24 hours. If I need it faster, it’s just $15 for a six hour turnaround, and another $15 for the premium version. It’s incredibly easy to use, and the value is unbeatable. What really stands out, though, is their customer service. On multiple occasions, I’ve had questions (totally on me! not because the app is hard to use), and every single time, the support team has been amazing. Every rep I’ve chatted with has been kind, helpful, and patient. I’ve never had a bad experience…only great ones. So grateful for their product and their people.
