### 2/5 — CUDIS Review – 2 Stars (Final Update Before Return)

*2026-07-07*

At this point, I have to give the CUDIS Ring 2 stars, primarily because its flagship feature—the AI coach Edamame—is not functioning as advertised.

The biggest selling point for me was the promise of an iterative AI coach that would learn over time, recognize trends, remember previous conversations, and provide increasingly personalized health insights. Unfortunately, Edamame repeatedly loses all conversation history, making every interaction start from scratch. Without persistent memory, the AI becomes little more than a one-time chatbot, and the ring itself is essentially just a data recorder.

To troubleshoot, I worked extensively with customer support, providing screen recordings, logs, and reproducible testing. I was able to demonstrate that Edamame could remember information during the same app session but would completely forget it after closing and reopening the app. My husband experienced the exact same behavior on a completely separate account, iPhone, Apple ID, and email address, suggesting this is not an isolated account issue.

Since my original review, I have received two additional emails from customer support and CUDIS has released an app update. I genuinely appreciated seeing continued communication and hoped the update would resolve the issue. Unfortunately, after installing the latest version, the exact same problem persists. Edamame still loses its conversation history, preventing it from functioning as the iterative AI coach that is central to the product’s value.

I want to recognize that customer support has been courteous and responsive throughout the troubleshooting process. They requested diagnostic information, and I provided everything asked of me. However, despite the continued communication and software update, the core issue remains unresolved.

I genuinely wanted this product to succeed. The hardware is promising, and the vision behind an AI that continuously learns from your health data is exactly what attracted me to CUDIS in the first place. I chose to leave this review at 2 stars rather than 1 because I believe the hardware has real potential and hoped the software would quickly mature.

Unfortunately, after weeks of troubleshooting, multiple support exchanges, and an app update that did not resolve the issue, we have decided to return both of our CUDIS Rings. If CUDIS is able to deliver the persistent, iterative AI experience that was advertised, I would gladly consider trying the product again in the future and updating this review. I sincerely hope they get there, because the concept has tremendous potential

### 3/5 — Great Ring! Better App?

*2026-05-29*

Loving the ring itself so far it’s great it does an amazing job of tracking your health. The fact that there’s no subscription fee every month is a winner in of itself. I have an issue with the app though. It doesn’t have any notifications whatsoever. So, if you’re trying to finish a challenge or just keep up with your daily 10,000 steps it would be nice to get a reminder that you’re “X” number away from completing your goal, you got this! We have busy lives and it helps to have that little reminder. Instead, I’ll forget and it’s disheartening / demoralizing to know that I missed a challenge. Also, the new AI mascot in the app is weird / creepy I don’t use it at all.

### 5/5 — Finally no monthly subscriptions

*2026-04-20*

Switched to cudis and I couldn't be happier. The health monitoring is top-notch, and the AI insights are a huge plus. Most importantly, I own my data and don't have to pay a monthly subscription fee to see it.

### 2/5 — Disconnected everytime

*2026-03-19*

Worked fine for a while but now unless I’m constantly using the app it gets disconnected. Have unpair/pair everytime the app closes. About to throw this in the trash.

### 2/5 — Battery problem

*2026-02-20*

App Store Review (English):

My first ring failed due to a charging/battery issue and it was replaced. The replacement ring also stopped working again after a short period — for the last 2–3 months it has basically been unusable, and it failed again around the third month.

Support now says it’s not covered because the warranty ended and claims the failure is “usage related” (fast charger / wrong charging). That does not make sense in my case, because the ring can only be charged with the charger/cable that came in the box. I did not use a different charger.

This feels unfair: the device failed twice under normal use, but the customer is blamed instead of the product quality being addressed.

### 5/5 — Great activity tracker

*2025-12-13, version 1.5.11*
