## What is Cue It?

Stay on track with Cue It!
Create lists of timers, called “Cues”, to stay on track for each step in a routine of yours. When one timer on your list ends, the next timer starts.

For when you need to track time on something split into smaller parts, Cue It makes sure you don't miss a beat.
- Stay in shape: Create Cues for your fitness routines, with timers for each exercise and break
- Get productive: Create a Cue with a Pomodoro Timer loop (25 minutes of work, followed by a 5 minute break)
- Find relaxation: Create a Cue for meditation breathing techniques to relax or help with sleep, such as 4-7-8 Breathing

When you start a Cue, two countdown timers will be displayed - one for your current individual timer, and another for how much time is left in total. If you aren't able to keep constant focus on your device, you can also enable features such as Sound Effects, Vibrations, or Text-to-Speech Narration whenever a new timer starts.

Cues can be created for all kinds of purposes, including:
- Fitness/Workout Routines (Interval Timers)
- Productivity (Pomodoro Timers)
- Meditation/Breathing Techniques
- Basic Food Preparation
- Presentation Practice

Need to multitask with Cue In the background? While a Cue is active, you can also toggle the Notification Bell to enable/disable notifications for when a new timer starts, if you are away from Cue It.

If you want to stick to a schedule, you can also set timed reminders to perform a Cue at a later time - either for a specific time and date, or repeating reminders on specific weekdays at a particular time.

## Key features

- Create custom timer lists (Cues)
- Automatic timer transitions
- Sound effects and narration
- Background operation with notifications
- Scheduled reminders
- Supports fitness, productivity, and meditation

### 4/5 — Good but could be better

*2025-08-28*

Some easy things that would make this five stars:
1. If you could duplicate a routine
2. If you could hear the different sounds when choosing which alert sound to use
3. If there was a way to adjust the default settings so you don’t have to toggle them every time. I want my default setting to be bell, read title only, heavy vibrate, etc.
4. If you could work in the app while a routine is playing. I want to edit new routine but I can’t because my morning routine is already in progress and I don’t want to pause it.
5. If you could select colors for the routines

Larger asks: I’d love if this talked to Alexa or Siri so I could automate starting a routine with voice commands. I’d also love if there was an option to play music during specific cues - maybe a Spotify integration?

### 5/5 — Great app! Pay once not forever

*2025-06-15*

In a world where every timer app on the market somehow needs us to pay a subscription for life, this app only asks us to pay once. And for that one payment, somehow it manages to deliver exactly the functionality I’m looking for! I’m shocked and amazed.

### 4/5 — Very good

*2025-02-23*

I like the others am so glad to finally get the functionality of that other app. My two requests would be as follows. First, please make the actual finish prediction font nearly as large as the current timer minutes and seconds. I push myself to see if I can get out the door sooner each day. Second, it would be great to see what step is coming up next. Otherwise I love it!

**Developer response:** Hi, and thanks for the review!

In some cases, font sizes are smaller so that menus can still fit in all the information even when users use certain screen sizes, or when they increase the font size with accessibility settings. I can look into tweaking the menu design so that font sizes are easier to read on normal settings. Thanks for the feedback!

### 5/5 — Replaced 2 apps

*2024-09-16*

I had a pomodorro productivity app and a HIIT training app.

I deleted those and this app does both.

### 5/5 — Nicely designed

*2024-04-04*

Thanks for the updates and for adding the features that I had requested.

This is a nicely designed app, with good features. There are options for the number of steps, settings (sounds, colors, animations, etc) for each step, and more. There is an explanation for each feature.

**Developer response:** EDIT 2: Update 1.7 adds your requested feature as a new timer customization, and also adds a new app-wide setting that lets you toggle if timer SFX/Notifications play at the end or start of a timer (alongside another new setting, “Cue Completion SFX”). Let me know if this accommodates your use cases.

Hi, and thanks for the review!

Raising the limit from 10 to something higher is an easy fix in a future update. I’ll look into your feedback about timer noises at the end. (Also, the Bell icon is for toggling notification delivery for when you are away from the app.)

### 5/5 — Nicely designed

Thanks for the update. Everything works nicely. One other feature to consider is the option to set a different sound to mark time, within each step. That is, allow users choose to have a sound repeat, every 5, 10, 15, or 30 seconds. Still waiting for this; it is essential for longer steps. One feature, that I would like to have, is the option to add a 3 or 5 second countdown for the end of each step. This would provide an aural cue that the step is about to change. Thanks to the developer for increasing the number of possible loops! This is a nicely designed app, with good features. There are options for the number of steps, settings (sounds, colors, animations, etc) for each step, and more. There is an explanation for each feature. However, toggling the bell icon seems to make no difference with the sounds.

### 5/5 — Great replacement for 30/30

*2023-12-13*

Props to the creator, superior app, THANK YOU!! I spent many hours yesterday searching for a 30/30 replacement and this was suggested on Reddit. I have to batch/block to accomplish anything, but I wfh and my start hours vary, so blocking on a set schedule doesn't work for me. I've floundered since we lost 30/30. Its appears to do everything that 30/30 did, with a few extras. I feel ready for 2024. Well worth the money, PLEASE don't ever remove the app. 🙏

If it could be shared across devices, it would be perfect! (I don't think 30/30 was, and it might not be feasible, but I'm shooting for the moon here. 😁)
