## What is Cue?

You only meant to watch short videos for 5 minutes, yet two hours slip by in the blink of an eye?

Content feed recommendation algorithms easily draw you into mindless scrolling, making you lose track of time — yet emptiness and regret linger once you put your phone down.
Timing Dynamic Island — an exclusive real-time anti-addiction tool for iPhone’s Dynamic Island. It visually displays your screen time as you browse, keeping the passing hours constantly in sight, and lets you lock apps instantly the moment you feel the urge to stop scrolling.

Why Choose Cue?
Common screen time apps force harsh locks and strict limits that demand extreme willpower, which usually backfire and make you scroll more.
Our app takes a mild, gradual approach. The Dynamic Island live timer tracks your usage in real time, paired with hourly, daily and weekly analytics to reveal wasted scrolling hours. You’ll naturally recognize the toll of overusing your phone and cut back voluntarily, without harsh external restrictions.

Core Features
1. Real-Time Dynamic Island Timer (Exclusive Feature)
Automate shortcuts to detect app launches and closures. The Dynamic Island persistently shows the running duration of your current app, letting you see exactly how long you’ve been scrolling and prompting you to break free from mindless browsing.

2. One-Tap Lock & System-Level Daily Time Limits
A quick lock button sits right on the Dynamic Island to cut off scrolling the second you spot your addiction.
You may set daily usage caps for apps. Powered by iOS’s native Screen Time framework, apps will lock automatically once your daily limit is reached, putting an end to the trap of "just one more minute".

3. Search-First Launch to Eliminate Mindless Opening
Enter target keywords before jumping into the corresponding platform. This avoids aimlessly opening recommendation feeds and endless passive scrolling, ensuring every app session has a clear purpose.

4. Lock Screen & Home Screen Widget Quick Access
Widgets available for both home and lock screens offer instant entry to frequently used apps, balancing convenient time management with a smooth user experience.

5. Multi-Layer Trend Data Analytics Dashboard
No more vague, oversimplified duration figures. We provide comprehensive trend analysis across three time frames: hourly, daily and weekly. Automated visual line charts clearly display peak usage hours, daily time fluctuations and weekly usage patterns.

Who This App Is For
You easily get hooked on short videos and social media, struggling to put your phone down voluntarily
You want to cut down unproductive screen hours without deleting entertainment apps entirely
You wish to monitor app usage duration live via the Dynamic Island for constant self-discipline
You need daily usage limits and app lock functions to manage your phone habits
You aim to beat phone addiction and build a mindful, disciplined digital lifestyle

Privacy & Security Statement
Cue never accesses your third-party account passwords, private messages, browsing history, feed content, search records or any other personal private data.
All functions including screen time tracking, daily usage limits and app locks run on iOS’s native Screen Time system. You must manually grant all required permissions, and all data is stored locally on your device only — never uploaded to third-party servers.

### 5/5 — Great app great idea!!

*2026-08-12*

I absolutely love this app!! it’s the only one that’s actually worked for me! I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it so many times. I’d delete it whenever the lock feature blocked me and I couldn’t bypass it, yet I always caved to mindless scrolling. But once I snapped back to reality, I knew I couldn’t live without it and redownloaded it again. After going back and forth countless times, now I'm only spend about 30min on tk and gradually get used to it!!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.3 — 2026-08-30

Thank you for using Cue!

This update fixes several known issues and introduces the following new features and improvements:
1) Custom Apps: You can now add any app you want to time, beyond Cue’s built-in list.
2) New timer visibility toggle: After timing is paused, choose whether the timer remains visible on Dynamic Island and the Lock Screen.
3) New compact Lock Screen layout: Significantly reduces the space used by the timer.

We’ve also improved Multi-App Limits:
1) View usage progress for all apps directly in Dynamic Island.
2) Choose whether to lock all apps or only the current app.
3) Refined the Dynamic Island interface to make information clearer.

We also improved transitions between data cards on the Home screen, making them smoother and more polished.

Thank you for your feedback and support!

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-15

Thank you for using Cue! After the latest update, we have received plenty of positive feedback. We are glad that the new version meets your expectations.
We also collected user suggestions regarding the shortcut setup guide. Therefore, we have further optimized the tutorials to provide clearer and smoother instructions.
Feel free to share your feedback and suggestions anytime. Thank you for your support!

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-01

Thanks for using Cue. This update includes:
• A redesigned Home screen for viewing app usage time and setting limits
• Tap an app icon to switch dashboards, or press and hold to open the action menu
• A new quick-test button to check whether your Shortcuts are configured correctly
• A new Lock button on Dynamic Island for immediately locking an app
• A new Reminder layout that displays playful warnings after extended use and can be selected in Settings
• Added Dcard support and fixed issues related to Threads

### 1.1.2 — 2026-07-07

Thanks for using Cue! What’s new in this update:

1. Fixed an issue where turning off Shared Limit could unlock apps
If a Shared Limit has already been set for today, the switch can no longer be turned off. This now matches the limit-setting logic. Special thanks to my wonderful user for reporting this!

2. Added Night Limit
You can set an automatic nighttime lock time. Even if today’s usage limit has not been reached, Cue can lock apps after the specified time to help reduce late-night use.

3. Added Threads
Threads is now supported as a social platform.

4. Added a test entry for Shortcuts setup
Go to Settings -> Set Up Shortcuts Auto Timer. After completing the tutorial, tap “I’ve set it up, verify now.” Cue will check whether both “auto start timer” and “auto stop timer” are working correctly, and show guidance if the setup is incomplete.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-07-02

This update improves the Dynamic Island timer experience:
while timing, Dynamic Island no longer blocks the status bar time or battery.

Also, here is a reminder about the important update from last time:
You can now use Shortcuts to automatically start and end App timing! After setting up Shortcuts, simply opening the target App will automatically start timing, and leaving it will automatically end timing.

This update includes:

- A more compact Dynamic Island timer display, reducing obstruction of the status bar time and battery
- Improved timer status indicators, with clearer color cues for different usage stages

You can still see the real-time timer in Dynamic Island while using other apps, without affecting your ability to check the time and battery.
