## What is CueView?

CueView turns an iPhone or iPad into a live cue display for grandMA3 lighting consoles. Mount an iPad on the desk, or hand a phone to a colleague, and see the show's current, previous, and next cue in big readable type — fed live from the console over your local network. With Apple Watch companion — glance at the live cue from your wrist

CueView comes in two pieces: this iOS app, and a small companion plugin that runs on the grandMA3 console. The plugin is free and ships as a downloadable package — plugin code plus ready-made Start and Disconnect macros. It's read-only: it only observes the show. It never sends commands, edits cues, or modifies any data on the console.

LIVE CUE DISPLAY
• Three big rows — previous / current / next — readable from across the room.
• Fade and delay times shown under the current cue, with an animated progress bar of the live transition.
• A pulsing dot at the top shows the live link to the console, alongside the sequence name.
• Cue numbers and names crossfade softly between cues rather than snapping.

CUE HISTORY
• Swipe up on the live display (or tap the list icon) to see every cue fired in the session.
• Live cue pinned at the bottom in a highlighted strip.
• Each row shows cue number, name, elapsed time, fade/delay, and the same progress bar.

CUSTOMISATION
• Context-aware Settings: live-view tweaks when opened from the live display; history-view tweaks when opened from history.
• Font (System / Rounded / Serif / Monospaced), colours, independent number/name sizes, row spacing.
• Optional debug log strip for verifying the link.

CONNECTION
• TCP over Wi-Fi or wired LAN.
• Auto-reconnect with exponential backoff. Survives Wi-Fi drops, device sleep, and console reboots.
• Stall watchdog reconnects if the console goes silent.

QUIET BY DESIGN
• No accounts, no cloud, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs.
• The only network traffic is the TCP link to the console you choose.
• One-off purchase. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads. Updates free for the life of the app.

REQUIREMENTS
• A grandMA3 console or OnPC software.
• iOS 17 or later.
• Both devices on the same Wi-Fi or wired network.

The free grandMA3 plugin and full setup instructions are at cueview.mattpeel.com.
