Tout au long de mon projet au pair, j’ai été très bien accompagnée et rassurée, notamment pour les différentes démarches administratives, le visa et la préparation du départ. L’équipe a toujours été disponible et à l’écoute lorsque j’avais des questions, ce qui m’a beaucoup aidée à aborder cette nouvelle aventure plus sereinement. Un grand merci à Cultural Care pour leur accompagnement et pour m’avoir permis de vivre cette expérience aux États-Unis ! Egal ob beim Profil anlegen oder dann später im Matching mit der Gastfamilie - die App ist toll gestaltet, sodass man sehr gut durch das Programm begleitet wird. Auch später bei Terminen z.B. für die Botschaft stehen wichtige Infos und Tipps dabei. First Au Pair ran off with a cousin after 4 months. Second Au Piar rematched halfway in due to her not perusing her own drivers license and not qualifying to drive with our car insurance. Third Au Pair left after two months because America isn’t for her and she didn’t like to work. They seem to take any candidates with the funds to pay their au pair fees and fake their profile experience and don’t ensure references are real. They pitch the experience as a vacation and encourage perk hunting so only the families that pay extra, leave by the beach, and have one child are favorable. I spent thousands of dollars trying to uphold my end as a host mom that gave the au pairs the U.S. experience, fun, followed all the rules and the contract only to be DUMPED AND have my kids get devastated over and over. The company will NOT refund my money, which forces me to rematch or lose thousands more. The website was great! There was lots of information about the host families and au pairs. The app is creepily similar to a dating app “Match with your perfect HF/AP!” Though I do like the security part for HFs so that APs can see what kind of “protection” they have in the house. Once you connect with a HF/AP, you will send a message where you cannot see what you’ve said three words ago, no message to see until you’ve pressed send. The video call function does not work. Most of the time when connected, I’ve gone straight to whatsapp or imessage instead. If an AP declines a connection request, they will get notifications days later telling them they haven’t yet responded to a HF… Constant notifications too, the app clearly doesn’t understand when a HF/AP has declined the other and pushes you to accept or decline - even though you already have. I also wonder why if an AP declines a family, that the same family can request connection again after a week or so… Once declined they shouldn’t be able to request again. It’s off-putting for the APs. Bring back the website. ### 1/5 — Lots of issues *2024-12-03* The app is just not working well, there are lots and lots of issues, and the tech team is not even able to fix them. I've been waiting for 2+ weeks now for them to match me with my host family for my extension year again, cause the app got messed up and we're not able to do anything. A lot depends on this for me, and it's really frustrating. They should just bring back the website that was already working smoothly, and test the app first.
