For the past two weeks all I’ve gotten is an error message when I log into the app and try to do anything. What’s sad is this is supposed to be an updated version of their app, but they have taken a bad app and made it worse. ### 1/5 — Glitchy *2024-10-01, version 9.2* If I knew that Cummins would not be on top of their app development I would not have purchased their generator. Difficulties logging in, no options for how to log in and limited use of app is very disappointing. ### 1/5 — Still can’t log in *2024-09-13, version 9.2* When I first got my two generators five years ago, this app worked just fine. I could monitor my generators and receive notification when they started and shut down. A couple years ago I had an issue that required a circuit board to be replaced. And that was the end of my ability to connect or even login. And yes, I did get assistance from My serviceman. So this new update was supposed to combine your login with the website and the app. Well, I’ve always been able to login at the website but not the app so I followed their instructions and repeated them three times and contacted Support, but I still can’t login like everybody else. I just get the login screen over and over again. They know they have this ongoing issue but!!! ### 2/5 — Latest app buggy and graphical presentation is bad *2024-09-04, version 9.2* Latest update got a much worse graphical presentation than it was previously. It’s like if it was not made for the iphone on the latest IOS 17.6.1. Very frustrated as an unreported power outages outage resulted in an issue with water back up and damage. Had the app worked, we would have been notified and had someone present, avoiding the damages. Very poor design Even worse support. The dev website doesn’t even exist anymore and is up for sale. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2024-04-26, version 7.0* Honestly, this app is aweful. I thought people were exaggerating, but they weren’t. However, it has gotten worse through the updates and the have been no enhancements to the user experience. I believe all the updates were chasing bugs that could come with OS updates. Anyway, do not buy this generator for the remote app. Even the dealers will recommend some other third party monitoring system. Manually enter the password and it loops back to the login screen with no error message. Try to reset you password and it just refreshes the login screen. Generator is in a vacation home so I rely on the app for status. Tech support just dreadful and most of it is via email with 2 day lag and even then it takes them forever to understand the issue. Tech support said the app doesn’t work with Eero….I have used it with Eero for 6 years until recently when app stopped working. I would not recommend purchase of generator unless the app isn’t important. ### 1/5 — Needs work *2026-07-19, version 9.3* Every time generator starts on power outage the app loses communication with the generator. The install and operators manuals both suggest a ups for the cable equipment. It doesn’t need to do much. I just had a Cummins genset installed, 7 days after v9.0 launched in the App Store. Seems fine to me. It’s nice that I do not have to pay for a subscription to get full access to my gen. ### 5/5 — Cummins Monitor App - Great *2023-07-20, version 6.7* We had our generator 17AE installed today. The app works great. I can start and stop the generator and tell everything about it including faults and when maintenance items need to be accomplished. I can also log in via an online web portal. My dealer is also monitoring my app and can be alerted to faults and can service my unit without me being involved. It’s easy to use and it’s a great peace of mind when traveling. The app is free. My dealer monitors my generator for free. I also hired them for $275/year to do regular maintenance. We are Happy with the app and Cummins :) ### 5/5 — Easy *2022-06-15, version 6.4* I’m not sure what all the bad reviews are about. It was super easy to set up and the apps dashboard is straight forward. Did it all from my cell phone. Couldn’t be happier. ### 5/5 — Working great *2019-05-26* I have several could based products and they all have connectivity issue from time to time. Usually the problem stems from a poor internet service provider. The connect cloud slows me to start and stop my generator remotely. Which is in heard of in the stand by industry. It also slows for manual control of the load controls on my system. Another industry 1st! The Cummins s generator is outstanding. Quiet, small, and remit controllable. Has always ran when my power was out. I would highly recommend the Cummins product! ### 4/5 — App imperfect but customer service is responsive *2022-04-15* I have two complaints after a month’s use, but customer service acknowledged that there are problems so they are aware of them. Cummins is a hardware company and an excellent one. Software is not their strong suit - so be it. ### 4/5 — Works fine *2021-12-26, version 6.4* Took a little time to set up properly, But app works very well. Be sure to set up your account on a laptop computer and turn on notifications, setting up on mobile device doesn’t work. Also you will need a UPS back up power supply for your router (something they don’t tell you) or else you’ll lose connection to generator during utility power to gen power switch over. Only thing I can’t figure out is the notification of power outage on my phone doesn’t work very well I’d like a loud warning that utility power is out. ### 3/5 — Login problems *2021-02-27* I read other reviews about cloud availability, but this problem doesn’t affect me. The app has limited functionality. The exercise screen always shows not set. But my big problem is that my password never works. First the app or phone are unable to save the correct password. For some reason another Microsoft account is prompting. So I reset the password each time I need to login. Why? After 10th time of setting the same password it’s not just me getting it wrong. The password is expired quickly or overwritten. I’m on generator power now and took me stressful minutes to reset the password again.
