Should have bought a coffee instead. ### 1/5 — Waste of $$$ 👎 *2016-04-10* So bad. They have next to no shops posted. Only about 12 in the sprawling city of Chicago where I live. Thanks! ### 1/5 — Little more than an out of date map *2016-01-29, version 3.0* All this app does is provide an out of date link to an apple map location of various coffee shops. It does literally nothing else. The shops seem to have been oddly chosen and many are closed or have changed location. You're far better of just using Apple maps, Yelp or Tripadvisor. At least they are up to date and provide far more information. I cannot believe they can get away with an app that genuinely does nothing at all... ### 1/5 — Don't purchase. Not updated and poor advice. *2016-01-03* If you're in America, this app is basically useless outside of a major city. I used this around Europe and found that the recommendations were out of date. For instance, there are many more (and better) coffee shops in Munich than are listed here. This leads me to believe this app is no longer updated. **Developer response:** We are in fact still updated (though sometimes the data in the app may be slightly lagging behind) and we are now in fact free. Munich has long been a challenging area for the level of quality that we are demanding. ### 1/5 — It's really NOT global *2014-08-30* - it suggests coffee shops that are 400km away, where there are dozens just around. - no profile view, reviews, or ratings for the suggested workshop. - I wonder what's the math to find nearby places? Because users can't add coffee shops at all. - frankly the app is useless and I regret paying for it. google does a way better job. **Developer response:** We are not the app for the dozens of coffee shops. We are the app for those very few coffee shops that provide an “Aha!” moment. ### 1/5 — Crashes *2014-04-27* New update doesn't work. Please fix the bugs. Nothing loads and closes when I click anything. ### 1/5 — I don't want to drive 900 km for coffee *2013-11-06* I live in Utah and I swear I've seen coffee shops around here yet this app is convinced that the closest coffee shop is 907 kilometers away. I don't care about coffee if it's that far away. ### 1/5 — Nothing even remotely nearby *2013-10-23* If there was a list of supported cities in the app description I missed it. I'm in Denver and the nearest coffee shop the app shows me is 1123km away. This does me no good. I'm sure it's a great app if it has coffee shops for your city. ### 1/5 — What is this app supposed to do? *2013-08-03, version 1.1.001* A very poor app at present. On opening, a list of selected coffee shops appears listed in order of distance. Clicking on them takes you to a map. The app does nothing else! No further info. No interactivity! Much poorer than other coffee map apps. I hope it improves with updates. ### 2/5 — Partial to famous cities *2015-03-18* I purchased this app thinking that it would help me discover new cafes in my area (Cincinnati, OH). You can imagine I was pretty annoyed when I opened the app only to discover I wasted my money on an app that says the closest coffee shop is nearly 400 km (two states) away from me. I know of at least two independent coffee shops in my area that should be in this app. The app would have potential if there was a way for users to add locations, so it can actually serve the purpose it was meant for. It's not "globally" useful if there are 400 km gaps... **Developer response:** You can always suggest locations to us and we will throw them in our system for consideration in the app. ## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — The best app for finding that solid coffee shop nearby *2019-10-23* Super simple and covers a lot of cities. I hope they continue updating it! ### 5/5 — Great Coffee Shop finder *2019-09-03, version 3.4* I just came here to get the ‚send to‘ someone link and saw one bad review.. I never leave reviews but in my experience this is an awesome app - I just used it every day on a trip to Berlin, found really great, authentic coffee shops. If I had a development request, it would be to be able to filter for Vegans - but hey, bloody vegans we always want the V options highlighted 😀🌱 ### 5/5 — great recommendations *2013-11-11* great coffee shop recommendations in Berlin! ### 4/5 — Pretty good *2013-10-25* A lot of "Find-A-Coffee-Shop" apps are way too general and they will tell me about the 50 Starbucks and Carubous, but never find anything decent, especially third wave shops - even when I'm sitting in one. This app is great in this sense because the only shops it finds are high quality third wave shops. The only problem I have is that I know of third wave coffee shops closer to me that aren't listed and I have no way of saving them on the app so I can find it the next time I open the app. ### 2/5 — Curious omissions... *2013-11-13, version 1.4* a bit disappointed. I had hoped that the app would show me new and better places to drink coffee but instead I was immediately aware of great coffee shops that had been omitted. Box Brownie in Stratford Upon Avon for example or, incredibly,the outstanding Colonna and Smalls in Bath! Needs significant update using local knowledge... ### 2/5 — Virtually Useless in the United States *2013-11-11* This application is almost useless for discovering coffee in The US unless you are in New York or San Francisco.
