### 2/5 — Unrealistic timings

*2026-06-01, version 6.0.3*

I totally buy Curable’s biopsychosocial approach. However, many of the exercises in the app have totally unrealistic timings. For example, there is an exercise called “Stress Assessment”, which requires you to write down all of your childhood stressors, adulthood stressors, and self-imposed pressures. The app says that it should take “no more than 5-10 minutes” to write each of the three lists. This is incredibly unrealistic. Even just thinking about a single childhood stressor, coming to terms with the notion of actually writing it down, deciding whether it belongs on the list as a single event or as a group of similar events, and then writing it down in a way which will be meaningful and useful when you refer back to the list later could take 5-10 minutes or more, never mind writing an entire list. I provided this feedback to Curable Support and they said that the timings are just “recommendations”. It is incredibly demotivating to need to spend hours on something which Curable says should only take 30 minutes. When I asked Curable whether I should timebox my work on this exercise to 30 minutes (ie, 10 minutes per list) even if that means I have very incomplete lists, or take hours if necessary, they were unwilling to engage with the question. It feels as if the timings are there to play down the required time commitment, but I find them deeply counterproductive. I’d much rather Curable said honestly, “This exercise may require several hours of your time to do properly”. Curable may respond to this review saying “Everyone’s different” or similar, but this misses the point. If everyone’s different, why provide timings at all? Which type of person are the timings aimed at? And why is there no guidance on whether to limit yourself to the stated timings or take a much longer amount of time if you need to?

### 3/5 — Scripted

*2026-05-26, version 6.0.3*

This app does not allow you to have an individual or artistic response that is nuanced to your soul.

It will basically only allow you to proceed if you agree with its wording. The premise of neuroplasticity seems solid, but you can only proceed in a super prescripted way, and for that reason, I will not be subscribing.

### 3/5 — Technical issues

*2026-04-07*

I am very grateful for your work! In the beginning, I used the exercises a lot. Now, after one year, I am a bit disappointed because there are some technical difficulties when reopening former exercises - I cannot access them. Moreover, I don’t get recommended any new exercises anymore. It seems to stagnate. Thus, I think, I will not extend my subscription after my current period if that won’t change.

### 4/5 — Great content, little confusing

*2026-02-21, version 6.0.3*

The app UI is good. The content is great. I was expecting a daily hand holding along the healing journey but it’s seems like I’m kinda just randomly trying things. Could be user error but otherwise I think it’s great.

### 2/5 — Unethical

*2026-02-14, version 6.0.3*

I bought this subscription and the app was reasonable, nothing wonderful, but ok. However, I requested fro the subscription to be stopped a few months before renewal and received a confirmation email. 4 days ago they withdrew another amount for 144usd and when I complained, they only offered me a 50% refund.
I wouldn’t touch this company again and am currently in negotiation with PayPal. Don’t get taken in by them

### 4/5 — Not Alone

*2026-01-06, version 6.0.3*

Curable is great! I have been a member a few weeks and I have learned so much! It is very comforting, I have been afflicted with psycho somatic symptoms for five years that have derailed my life. Listening to Curable every day has help me realize that I am not the only person experiencing this! Especially helpful are Christie’s pod casts and classes!
My uncomfortable journey began with frightening dizziness also, the things she has experienced is exactly what I do along with other symptoms. We I listen to her, I feel as though she is speaking directly to me! It is very reassuring and helps me feel safer! I know that Curable is going to be a huge source for me in my healing!

I recommend this app for anyone experiencing these types of things!

### 5/5 — Phenomenal app

*2025-12-30, version 6.0.3*

Saved my life! I cured an ongoing migraine for months to a year within days. I haven’t had a migraine since about 3 years ago when i used this. Life changing thank you

### 5/5 — Constant back pain

*2025-12-22, version 6.0.3*

This app
Really helps. It’s learning how to apply mental knowledge and strength. My Chiro recommended and I joined for life.

### 5/5 — Sound Approach. Good Company.

*2025-12-21, version 6.0.3*

I used this app for a while and found it helpful. The science behind it is solid, and I have recommended it to others.

But I have too many apps that require daily tracking or check ins, so I had stopped using it, and forgot all about it until the annual charge appeared on my credit card! many companies make it very difficult to cancel, and most will not issue a refund, but Curable is a better corporate citizen than that!

I was able to easily cancel my membership in the app, and because it had only been a few days since my membership renewed I was also able to request a refund. It’s great to deal with a company that treats people like people.

If you think this app might help you, I give it a try.

### 1/5 — Extremely buggy app

*2025-12-01, version 6.0.3*

I'm not reviewing the program, I'm reviewing your app. Looks like you are operating as hybrid app and it not working, it crashes and doesn't resume where we ended the recorded classes.
The live classes are always booked and never got a slot.

The live coach is very confusing don't get to see the Roadmap or what's next in the program.

And your offer/deals popup is taking 50% of the screen, very annoying for paid users

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not for ME/CFS

*2026-06-11, version 6.0.3*

Cognitive therapy and brain retraining

### 1/5 — No response to support requests

*2026-05-27, version 6.0.3*

I’ve had curable for many years, however there don’t seem to be any new exercises ever being added. I have contacted support numerous times and never received a response.

### 1/5 — useless

*2026-05-08, version 6.0.3*

based in cbt; useless if you don’t have an inner monologue/ voice

### 1/5 — Wasn’t very helpful and overpriced

*2026-02-27, version 6.0.3*

Contained pretty standard self help info. It seemed pretty overpriced for what it contained. Also when your subscription renews, you don’t get any kind of email/ receipt and it doesn’t show up under your Apple ID subscriptions, I wasn’t able to get a refund since it was a few days after their refund policy period.

### 1/5 — Very overpriced for what it offers

*2026-01-28, version 6.0.3*

I read a review and thought I’d try this as I have sciatica. Unfortunately you’re obliged to buy an annual subscription only so can’t trial it for a week. It’s highly skewed towards the American market so the timings of the classes generally don’t work well for people in the UK. The narrator for the education and meditation pieces has a slightly distracting tone for me so I prefer to read them and use a different app for meditation. It provides some interesting insights but is very limited otherwise and definitely not worth the subscription fee.

### 1/5 — Money grab

*2026-01-22, version 6.0.3*

If you’re looking for something to try for a month or two and be able cancel at that time , do not try. It is an automatic yearly subscription and finding the way on the app to cancel is not easy. Customer support says they send you an email explaining your free trial is over but it probably just goes to your spam like I did mine. You will be automatically charged for a yearly subscription.

### 1/5 — Leider nicht in Deutsch

*2026-01-11*

Meine Eingabe in Deutsch wird zwar verstanden, aber grundsätzlich ist es nicht auf Deutsch

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-01-03, version 6.0.3*

I understand making an app only work with a subscription and have no free version. I just wish the description was up front about that.

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2025-12-29, version 6.0.3*

They have a terrible find process, which wants you to commit to a year. I assume the reason why they don’t offer month-to-month is because people would stop using it after a month. If it was good, they would also offer the month-to-month subscription.

They offer is pretty basic meditation, and the pain reprocessing therapy is a questionable approach. The scientific claims that they and the way out base things on are highly questionable and have major Flaws from a scientific POV

### 1/5 — Awful customer support

*2025-12-12, version 6.0.3*

Do not buy the gift subscription. The emails don’t go through and customer support don’t reply to your emails. It’s like being scammed.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — On my way to healing

*2026-06-23, version 6.0.3*

This app has been amazing. it’s a bit pricey , but worth it !!

### 5/5 — Hope

*2026-06-14, version 6.0.3*

I have been using Curable app for 3 days and I have now got hope , I just finished listening to Johns Recovery Story which I found really resonated with me , I was in acute pain while listening however the level of pain slowly decreased as I listened. The “basic neuroscience of pain” has been a revelation for me I am now armed with the correct information and some tools to get me on the road to recovery, thankyou Curable Team.

### 5/5 — Creating a “Home” Base

*2026-06-13, version 6.0.3*

Alan Gordon’s lesson was excellent. I’ve read his book The Way Out, twice in fact. By now I’ve read about 8 books on the brain, neuroplastic pain and predictive processing, and I think Alan’s book is the best of them. It was great to hear him in person and I took great comfort from that as well.

### 5/5 — Sehr hilfreich

*2026-06-06*

Ich verwende die App seit einer Woche und finde sie sehr hilfreich. Mir gefällt auch, dass die Inhalte ein wenig spielerisch verpackt sind.

### 5/5 — Amazing help

*2026-06-02, version 6.0.3*

I suffer from multiple chronic pain and fatigue conditions and I’m only still a teen so it’s tricky, but having this app and all of the amazing resources on it has been great! However, living in Australia means that majority of the online meetings are during the middle of the night or early morning but other than that highly recommend, I pair it with the app chronic pain for tracking and insights the two apps together have helped me manage and understand my pain better

### 5/5 — Saved me

*2026-05-17, version 6.0.3*

Can’t thank the creators of this app enough. After almost two years of daily chronic pain, multiple ortho’s and rounds of PT I found curable when I was at my absolute rock bottom. I had been diagnosed w chronic tendinitis in both hands and wrists as well as nerve damage effecting my elbows. I couldn’t brush my teeth or even read a book w out pain.

I spent about a year working with the app along with reading other books on neuroplastic pain and I am very proud to be 3 years free of chronic pain. I do all the things my doctors said I could never do again and at 38 have never been stronger in my life. I still experience sensation from time to time and a flair up here and there when life is especially difficult, but I know what they are and have tools to deal with them.

I have even kept my subscription active for 3 years just as a donation since I am so grateful for their help. Give this a try and keep an open mind. You’re not alone and you can do it!

### 5/5 — 3 1/2 year headache gone

*2026-05-12, version 6.0.3*

This app changed my life! I have been under the care of a neurologist for three years . He has diagnosed me with a very rare category of headaches called New Daily Persistent Headache. There has been no research as there is no money . They know very little about it other than it lasts a very long time. He has been trying migraine medication. We have had two of these drugs work but only for about three 6 months. My family Dr suggested I look at this app, it has been a miracle for me. In 2 1/2 months I have taken my pain from 6-8/10 to 0-2/10! I am forever grateful!

### 5/5 — Great value and so helpful

*2026-04-18, version 6.0.3*

I’m still early on my healing journey, but I definitely love the material in this app and it is so user-friendly

### 5/5 — Trying

*2026-03-10, version 6.0.3*

A surgeon friend of mine recommended this app and I’m about a week into using it. I have found it very interesting to hear very similar stories as mine and to be introduced to the mind body relationship. I’m still trying to accept and embrace things as this is such a new concept to me, even though it makes sense to me.

### 5/5 — CRPS, TN must have!

*2026-01-21, version 6.0.3*

One of the best tools I have ever used! Learning about nerve pain and the mind/body connection have helped me SO much. My favorite is the “panic button “, especially in the middle of the night when it’s hard to distract from pain.
