Our platform was founded on the idea of building a better care community for all. At Curam, we do things differently. Our platform was founded on the idea of building a better care community for all. A community that respects the value of care, where clients have choice and control, and carers can set their own rates and hours and are rewarded and respected for the work that they do. Choice Choose the hours you work and the right clients for you from the hundreds of new clients that are signing up to Curam each week all over the UK. Clients on Curam include private clients, local councils, care homes, NHS trusts, and direct payment card holders. Cost We advertise your profile for free, there are no joining or subscription fees. You agree to your rate with your client and our fees come out of this rate. As a self-employed carer on the Curam platform, you received 85% of what you charge your client. Carers on Curam are earning on average £16 per hour and over £950 a week for live-in care. Support Curam’s philosophy is to support carers wherever we can. We provide all approved carers with self-employed carer’s insurance providing they transact via the platform and we encourage micro-teams for support of both the carer and client. The team at Curam is also here to support our fantastic carers in using the platform and getting the best out of it. Security Curam has an in-built safety feature on the app which allows carers to add up to 5 trusted contacts. If activated in an emergency the carer’s trusted contacts are notified of their GPS location at the touch of a button. By downloading the Curam for carers app you can sign up, complete your profile and become approved. You can then apply for jobs near you and get immediately notified of jobs posted near you. It is a really good platform — I just wish they kept in touch with clients directly rather than me. However I’d happily recommend Curam to anyone looking for a reliable service. Still, nothing beats the power of word of mouth.. The more that join the better it will become, bringing a better way of experiencing support, from friendly, to formal…..and everything in between! As this platform evolves, I am sure we will all benefit from being able to pick and choose what suits us best, whether we be carers or ‘clients’ I have been with Curam approx 5 months and I have already met three wonderful clients. I choose to work part-time, short-term, or covering other carers… so this has been a perfect way to achieve that.
