### 2/5 — Can be improved

*2025-02-15*

Doesn’t have a search function so impossible to find old messages without spending too much time

### 4/5 — Very good app for defined setting, could use a few feature adds

*2023-03-24*

Very good for communicating with facility staff. Nice function of being able to assign coverage docs and availability. Very nice feature of being able to add people to conversation.

However, needs a search function, as well as mark message as “unread” function.

**Developer response:** Hello! Thank you for reaching out and providing feedback. We are sorry you are having issues with our app. Cureatr has made a few updates recently to the log in process that make it easier for you to get in and start using the app. If you download the new version (3.0), you can establish face or touch-ID as your password to quickly log back in if you sign out. If you have any other feedback or questions, please contact us at support@cureatr.com.

### 3/5 — Needs a patient search option.

*2023-03-16*

Needs a search option to look up patients. Very frustrating to have to scroll and scroll to find a patient.

### 2/5 — Unable to add patient icon

*2022-11-28*

Unable to add patient icon at bottom of screen. No IT follow up after emailed for assistance.

### 4/5 — Include a search or filter function PLEASE!!!!

*2021-12-16*

I work for a healthcare company and cover several venues. We use this app constantly. I sometimes receive upwards of 200 messages in a day. It is inefficient and time intensive to scroll through all messages to reference one.

Additionally, in the latest update (yesterday) the subject line background is black while the font is dark gray. This makes it difficult to see which patient is being referenced while in the message. Please either lighten the background or the text to provide more contrast.

Many thanks from a grateful superuser!

**Developer response:** Hi a;ksdjflajf! Thanks for your feedback. Because of your review, we released Cureatr's new version 2.26 with the ability to archive all messages. Thanks again for using Cureatr.

### 4/5 — Helpful tool, needs a fix

*2021-11-17, version 3.2.2*

The tool is quite helpful. Does not show new messages on this touch pad until you go to Account screen, then back to Message screen.

### 2/5 — Search option

*2020-12-27, version 3.2.2*

cureatr is great, it lacks the option to search conversations which is critical when using for tracking patient care and conversations.

### 3/5 — Useful tool but far from perfect

*2020-10-08*

We use this tool for primary communication between the provider and staff. Photos are handy to use. Mobile version does not allow attaching of files, which would be nice. Notifications are buggy and often I find “batches” of messages coming in, not in real time. This may be due to my cellular coverage but don’t have any issues with other apps. My biggest gripe is the inability to search messages. Unfortunately, the app implementation for providers by the health care institution is locked down and does not allow providers to link patients (but staff can - was told that I would be able to see other provider patient names). This is a HUGE problem as neither staff nor myself can easily refer to a message I initiated without scrolling through endless messages. If the app had a general search mechanism, this would help immensely!

**Developer response:** Hello and thank you for your feedback. Cureatr does have the ability to attach from the phone's gallery, however, many institutions disable this feature for compliance and security purposes. We will bring the search ability to our product team for review. In the meantime, if you know the provider/team mate involved in a past message, you can compose a message and type that user's name in. When it appears, click the profile picture or initials. A list of messages you have with them will show in the profile screen. For other issues, please do not hesitate to contact Cureatr Support (support@cureatr.com) and someone on our team will reach out to help!

### 2/5 — Cumbersome to login and won’t stay active

*2020-09-16, version 3.2.2*

Login is cumbersome and then won’t stay active. Voalte much better.

### 4/5 — One request

*2020-09-14, version 3.2.2*

I am constantly forgetting to activate or deactivate Cureater when I’m respectively on or off a shift. Any way to set dates and times to automatically do this for us? And if not, any consideration for creating that option to improve the app?

### 3/5 — Good app, but needs improvements

*2020-08-26*

Cureatr works okay for reading pages, and if you set it to repeat notifications shrilly 11 times in a row, you won’t miss any pages. Issues that I have had are: 1) there is not a compatible iPad app and 2) there is no CarPlay app. The iPad app would be a luxury, but I have missed pages in the car due to my phone notification not going off while plugged into CarPlay. It would be nice to at least know there is a notification so that I can decide to pull over and look at the message, instead of seeing 40 minutes later when I get home that I missed a STAT page. A read-aloud function would also be desirable, like in iMessage - not sure about HIPAA rules on that one, but like in iMessage, you can decline to have the message read aloud.

**Developer response:** Hello and thank you for your feedback! Cureatr can be downloaded on the iPad, however, you need to change the search results to look for iPhone apps. Applications that are compatible and work with CarPlay have been specifically written to do so. At this point in time, Cureatr has not been developed in that way. Finally, there is an option for the user to send you a voice note within Cureatr that can be played aloud, however, the read-aloud function is not a current feature.

### 2/5 — Biminiboy2

*2020-07-02, version 3.2.1*

For a pager it’s a pain. Log in pass word domain.... just give me the number alert choices. It’s all a pain. So you responded with a thank you. BS you don’t even listen. U do t even use a pager. Listen to what we say and make it a user friendly system. If I wasn’t forced to use this U would cancel it.

### 1/5 — Never works!!

*2020-04-29, version 3.0.0*

The app never works! I get a notification that I have a page, but then I get an error that says SAML error. I’ve email for help but no one can ever fix the problem.
Great idea for an app, but absolutely not reliable

### 1/5 — Messsges disappear!!

*2020-04-09, version 3.0.0*

My messages are constantly disappearing. Every time I need to look back at previous messages they are gone. I use this for work and my text and schedule is constantly deleted. My other coworkers have the same problem as well. I do not recommend this app, it’s terrible.

### 1/5 — It’s annoying

*2020-04-06, version 3.0.0*

Won’t stop asking that I turn on notifications.

### 4/5 — Say goodbye to your clunky pager

*2020-04-02*

You won’t realize how liberating it is not to have to carry your clunky pager around until you are free of it. We are using a modified version of the app at our institution and have access to messages and accounts tab, however even without the other features like patient list etc...this app is a success.

Suggestions to improve functionality:

1) Please make it easier to callback a txt paged number by selecting the number from the message.

This feature is available currently via long press but the function is unreliable. Sometimes when tapping on a phone number via long press the phone app is launched, other times the select text feature is launched. A quick tap on the number provides expanded message time delivery info, which frankly I don’t really need.

I would suggest enabling a single tap on a phone number to dial via the phone app, similar to how the default Notes app works and letting long press function provide expanded message time delivery info instead.

Thank you.

**Developer response:** We really appreciate your feedback and positive review. We have informed our product team about this request. If you have further feedback or questions, please feel free to reach out to us at support@cureatr.com.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No Support

*2025-10-07*

No link for support through the app, email address is invalid. App can be quite clunky.

### 1/5 — Hard to use

*2024-08-19*

Not a fan, my team had been using Telegram it’s so much more user friendly and easier to find people. I have literally approved teammates access to Cureatr and can’t find them when I search for them. This platform needs some major updates/upgrades it shouldn’t be this hard to use

### 1/5 — You can’t search previous conversations

*2023-01-15*

A messaging app in which you can’t search previous conversations is pretty useless.

### 1/5 — Visavility

*2022-03-30, version 3.3.1*

Too small of a font. Colors are bad contrast Hard to use

And…. Cannot figure out how to use it.

### 1/5 — Could use improvements

*2022-03-22, version 3.3.1*

App is basic at best. There needs to be ability to not recieve notifications or need to archive messages received when marked as off duty
Th e volume of messages that are requiring archiving is stored to device via app and takes up too much space on phone.

### 1/5 — New change in display makes it impossible to read patient name

*2021-12-22, version 3.3.0*

I used to love Cureatr. I can not really use it anymore. The patient name is now nearly completely obscured by a black background. It is too dangerous to try and communicate with Cureatr since I cannot tell who the patient is

### 1/5 — Can’t stand it.

*2020-10-10, version 3.2.2*

I wouldn’t use it if I wasn’t forced too by my employer!! It drops off line inexplicably and sends me a series of 1s instead of numbers I can call back.

I hate this app!

### 1/5 — Does not ring

*2020-10-02, version 3.2.2*

Almost a good app but the ringer you select for pages in app is not the sound you get when you receive a page. Instead a generic iPhone notification ping plays.

iPhone 11 with ringer set to max. Hard to tell when it goes off or if it’s other riffraff.

### 1/5 — Should work in do not disturb

*2020-08-18, version 3.2.2*

You should be able to put your phone in so lot disturb mode and pages come though! Ridiculous.

### 1/5 — Inconsistent notifications

*2020-08-13, version 3.2.2*

Our clinical practice has consistent problems with the notifications. They often do not sound and this has caused delays and other problems with patient care. I do not recommend this system.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Photo

*2021-08-02, version 3.2.2*

It would be helpful if we could take phone pictures from our photo library to add to the Cureatr conversations !! There is a lot of times that I take a picture when the pt us walking out the door that I would like to send to the dr ( and immediately delete off my off my phone after I send it ) but I can’t get to it until Cureatr until the end of day !

### 5/5 — New User

*2020-08-06, version 3.2.2*

*2019-12-13, version 2.28.0*

Everyone in the hospital should be logged into this system.
Cost effective, accessible and easy to use

### 5/5 — Needs an Apple Watch feature.

*2019-07-29, version 2.24.0*

Needs and Apple Watch feature

### 5/5 — Great app

*2019-07-22, version 2.24.0*

So helpful in talking to colleagues without having to worry about HIPPA.

### 5/5 — Revolutionary app

*2018-10-10, version 2.19.2*

I’m a nurse and this app has significantly improved the ability for my care team to communicate.

### 5/5 — Apple Watch support please!

*2018-01-04*

This is a great app! I love having text and photo share communication with my fellow, residents and colleagues while still maintaining HIPPA compliance! I am planning to get an Apple Watch, but I don’t see any indication that this app supports it. To have that capability would take this review to 5 stars.

**Developer response:** Hi plkoostr,
Good news, Cureatr notifications are sent to Apple Watch. Thanks for the review!

### 5/5 — Great solution for physicians

*2015-11-23, version 2.3.0*

Excellent care transition notifications - I know when my patient is admitted at a hospital. The patient centric secure messaging helps me manage my patients without overloading my in box. Great find.
