Sometimes, however, it’s way off base and identifies silver poorly. The worst part of this app is its market value estimations. Everything is $50-$150. Everything and considering the state of the antiques market currently these prices are way over blown. It would be helpful if you could put in information that you already know about a piece before it does its analysis. For instance, I had a silver dish from pre-1914 and the app identified it as 1950s silver plate. Once I entered the additional information that it was pre-1914 with no identification on the back other than hallmarks ,it identified it as Sterling from England and guess what ,the current value was $100-$150.
