## What is Curio?

What you care about deserves more than a generic note.

Curio brings different hobbies into one app without squeezing them into the same form. Coffee, Wenwan, Fishing, Whisky, Photography, Places, Tea, Wine, Plants, Beauty, Baking, Food Journal, and Ledger each keep their own way of being recorded, while still meeting on one home screen.

A real place for each hobby

Open Coffee for your bean shelf, freshness windows, brew parameters, and best cup. Move to Wenwan for each piece's timeline and before-and-after cards. In Food Journal, take a photo and the meal is saved as soon as you confirm it. In Photography, meter light and calculate depth of field for free, then turn a photo and its EXIF into a finished card. Ledger starts with amount and category, while accounts, budgets, and statistics are there when you need them. The color, fields, and ways of looking back change with the hobby.

Keep it light with a photo and one sentence. When you want more detail, add parameters, tasting notes, ratings, and what you thought at the time. There are no streaks and no pressure to return on a schedule.

Let your records become useful

Find the best cup of a bag, compare day 1 with day 180, review fishing conditions alongside the catch, or see a plant change over time. A factual Badge Book traces evidence back to the original entry without ranks or rewards. Works binds records about the same object into chapters and private experiments. Share cards are laid out as finished pieces, not exported screenshots.

Keep your data yours, for free

The free version lets you keep 2 hobbies active at once. Items, photos, notes, ratings, Ledger, basic stats, the official Badge Book, private iCloud sync, and full backups are free to use. You can swap an active hobby at any time without deleting its archive. If you want more active hobbies or the full set of organizing and creative tools, Curio offers one-time purchases—never a subscription.

Privacy

Curio does not use remote behavior tracking. Your records stay on your device and in your private iCloud database, and you can take a full backup whenever you like.

Curio 1.6 turns more of your private records into useful structure.

• Ledger becomes a full hobby: save an amount and category first, then use accounts, transfers, budgets, receipts, CSV export, and monthly or six-month statistics when needed. It is free and uses one ordinary hobby slot.
• Review gains one factual Badge Book for every enabled hobby. Every badge is rebuilt from your current archive and can trace back to its evidence—there are no streaks, ranks, rarity, or reward economy.
• Works adds long-term topic books and single-variable private experiments. Bind real entries into chapters, write your own conclusion, and use one share workbench for the current page, PDF, multi-page images, silent video, or Live Photo.
• Whisky gains a 73-bottle bilingual guide with an exact, source-linked bottle image for every catalog entry. A custom bottle can be recognized as an existing catalog bottle without losing its stock or history, and bottle age is now derived from the real opening date.
• Photography Studio now includes 16 distinct layouts, Home brings recent records and the private notebook closer, and My gains a privacy-first Help & feedback path.

This update gives your private archive a new way to look back—and turns HDR into a complete on-device tool.

• Review adds Moments, a familiar stream made only from your own records, photos, audio, places, and times. It creates no public profile or social feed.
• Add private comments to an earlier entry, then return later to what occurred to you afterward.
• SDR to HDR can live in Favorite Tools and accept one image from the iOS share sheet. Compare the full frame, then save full HDR, a publishing JPEG, an experimental cross-platform JPEG, or both.
• Curio Plus can process 2–6 still photos with one light style, while keeping successful items if another fails. Single-photo HDR remains free.

All HDR processing stays on device. Prices, product IDs, and purchase relationships have not changed.

This update brings past records back into what you do next.

• Coffee gains a resumable Cup Workspace for free timing, repeating a previous cup, and saving through one recoverable draft.
• Photo review adds private notes, on-device album suggestions, explicit group filing, side-by-side comparison, and per-photo EXIF changes. Notes and shooting practices each return to their own shelf.
• Photo Studio adds Perceptual Palette, generated on device from representative colors. The HDR light tool gains Natural/Vivid strength and an SDR/HDR comparison.
