Today I am restricted as I need to pay a fee to play. Yikes. ### 2/5 — Can’t resize! *2025-10-31, version 5.0.15* Meh. Latest update has upsized KenKen so the grid doesn’t fit a standard iPad screen — and can’t be resized. ### 2/5 — Better But *2025-10-29, version 5.0.15* It has FINALLY been updated, but is poorly formatted on the iPhone and iPad. The format doesn’t fit iphone plus very well, and the calendar of days is a mess. The day/date is in Header (good) then each game starts with a massive Day/Date header again. The previous version was much easier on the eyes and organized in an easy to follow format. Glad the loading issues are fixed but the rest is truly not an improvement. ### 2/5 — Used To Be Good *2025-10-10, version 5.0.13* I’ve been using this app for years. The last three months has been hit-or-miss whether the app would load or games would work. Now the new update makes it feel impossible to enjoy. Constantly having to scroll to see clues and figure out what your typing, or text that is way too small to read. Guess it’s time to move onto another app. ### 2/5 — The latest update is not working at all *2025-10-09, version 5.0.11* The latest update is not letting me get into the puzzles at all. I open the app, it has me enter my email to get the “magic link”, I click the link, and get back to the app screen to sign in. Rinse and repeat. Very frustrating after the past few months where the app hasn’t been working well at all. After probably 10 years of playing the puzzles daily I’m about ready to cancel. ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2025-09-12, version 5.0.10* Love the puzzles in this app. I am addicted to kenken BUT the app frequently doesn’t open to the right day or freezes on the day before and won’t advance to the current day. It is a little slo on iPad loading new puzzles but I go to other items if that happens. It’s wonderful when it works. I’ve written and complained many times. I haven’t renewed my subscription. If it’s not very slow, it results in an error message or having to reset the PC to release the constant attempt to load. I even deleted the app and reinstalled which did nothing. Maybe there needs to be an upgrade. This most recent update makes the crossword puzzle unplayable. The font size of the letters is too big for the squares so you can’t read what you just typed. Also, you used to have the hint at the top and bottom of the puzzle. Now if you’re working on the bottom of the puzzle you have to scroll back to the top to see the next hint. Also can’t use the space bar to switch between across and down. I love doing the crossword puzzle and the partial filled in crossword puzzles the best. I also love the often fascinating information daily, I can’t tell you how often I start conversations from what I learn from this app. And the little minute lessons are perfect for my adhd brain that can’t focus too long but loves to learn all the things! ### 5/5 — Curious *2024-09-02* I was happy with Curious until I needed a new device. I have not been able to access my subscription, which runs until December, on my new device. Everything else managed to open on my new device. I read a few short articles about various topics and then move on to the crossword puzzle. Depending on the day I may listen to a TED talk. This is not an app for daily news updates though current topics do appear. Many articles and items presented are many years old. Personally that doesn’t matter. They simply get me thinking. If they indeed spark my curiosity I can easily find more current information if I wish. While the factoids and lessons are interesting, I return to the site day after day for the puzzles.
