I kept making mistakes, but he was so patient and calming and got me laughing while he spoke to me constantly while completing my transfer. what great person to have working for Direct currencies. When I was looking to do a large currency conversion from USD to EUR, their take on the spread was 5x worse (2.5%) than other alternatives like Wise. When I contacted an account manager and surfaced my concerns, they said they would back to me later that week with better rates. No follow up. I reached back out. Still no follow up. After my husband died I had to sell my home in Spain and move back to England. During this very difficult time Currencies Direct did everything they could to help me. Their lovely staff collected the bankers draft on the day of the sale to save me paying 4% deposit fee into a Spanish bank. They advised me when best to convert to Sterling and gave me a better exchange rate than the banks were offering without charging me a fee. Then they transferred it from an English bank into my bank, so I wasn’t charged the 2.99% fee for receiving money from a foreign bank.
