## What is Curtis?

Curtis is a simple, document-based editor for plain-text scripts, code or text. Curtis works with the iOS Files app, so your documents are available when and where you need them, rather than locked away in an app.

Curtis  is not an IDE, word processor or markdown editor. It is a purposefully simple, distraction-free tool for quickly reading, writing or editing text-based files including html, css, javascript, json and more.

There are no server or cloud container settings to configure - create or edit files on your device or the cloud connections you‘ve already set up.

Following my first review, the developer has now released a vastly improved version of the app. As far as I can tell, the product is robust, easy to use and powerful as a basic text editing tool. Well done!

**Developer response:** Sincerely, thanks for the feedback. I appreciate that you’ve taken the time to detail your issues using the app and will address your concerns in future updates. 

You’ll notice a theme file in your device directory, in a settings folder. Colors and other settings can be tweaked there if you are comfortable editing a very simple JSON file. Obviously this isn’t ideal for non-programmers, but with the plethora of feature-heavy markup apps available, I chose to keep this app clean and distraction-free. 

That said, your concerns are valid, appreciated and will be considered as the app evolves.
