About

Cyanotype turns your camera into a small cyanotype darkroom, the photochemical process John Herschel discovered in 1842, later used by Anna Atkins to create the first photographically illustrated book in history. Point, shoot, and watch the scene develop instantly in the same Prussian blue born from iron salts under ultraviolet light. The filter runs live in the viewfinder and is applied with the exact same processing to the saved photo, what you see is what you get. THREE TONES, ROOTED IN REAL CHEMISTRY – Light: a cooler, steadier blue, like the brown citrate print. – Classic: a bright, vivid blue, like the green citrate print. – Deep: the darkest blue, for what isn't visible at first glance. ADJUSTABLE GRAIN – Continuous control, from clean to heavily grained. CAMERA CONTROLS – Tap to focus, long-press to lock exposure and focus (AE/AF lock). – Manual exposure adjustment. – Digital pinch-to-zoom, up to 5x. – Flash with a clear on/off indicator. CYANOTYPE PRO – Edit photos imported from your library: the same Intensity, Exposure, Grain, and Contrast controls as the camera, at full resolution. – Record video with the cyanotype filter applied live, with audio, for up to a minute. – A single in-app purchase: pay once, use forever. GALLERY & SHARING – Its own "Cyanotype" album in your Photos library. – Favorite, copy, delete, and share straight to Instagram Stories, or through iOS's standard share sheet. WIDGET & CONTROL CENTER – Home screen widget showing your latest photo. – Quick-capture button in Control Center. A dark, minimalist app with its own typography and full accessibility support (VoiceOver and Dynamic Type on every control) — made for photographing the intimate, the deep, in a single color.
