I actually find myself keeping the app closed because of the frequency of the alerts. The alert has no bearing on the outside air or the car’s ambient temperature. I can not find any information on how to correct or recalibrate this. ### 2/5 — Extremely annoying *2023-05-26* I appreciate the idea behind the app but it CONSTANTLY goes off saying “child in vehicle” when I am with him (with 6 inches) and even after he’s been removed from his car seat and the buckle is no longer engaged. Thanks! ### 2/5 — SensorSafe buckle *2022-10-16, version 3.4.2* The sensor plate buckle is terrible!!! It’s not child safe. My 16 month child is able to unbuckle it. I constantly have to stop and buckle him back in. The notification part is great but the buckle technically is crap. ### 1/5 — Useless app *2021-05-14, version 2.5.5* This is the most useless app that I've ever had. It sending me notifications that my baby is alone in the car even when I'm feeding her at home for some reason. I always know my baby is in the car or at home with me, why do I need this app? ### 1/5 — I hate this app. *2021-05-13, version 2.5.5* I have a 2015 Honda CRV and a cybex sirona s. I LOVE my car seat, HATE the sensor safe. The idea of this app is great however the execution is terrible. I totally understand why some parents unplug this from their vehicles and just stop using it all together. From the moment you buckle your child in it starts alerting you that they have been left in the car alone. You can literally be standing in front of them with the door open putting them in the car and it is alerting you that your child is alone in the vehicle and then it alerts whoever is connected to the app that they are alone in the vehicle and then it will continue to alert you until you acknowledge it so it will go away. I think the way that this app works is that it knows your cell phone and if your cell phone is not inside the vehicle it thinks that you are out of the vehicle there is absolutely no range for walking from the passenger door to the drivers door before you will start getting alerts that your child is alone in the vehicle. The amount of time it takes me to buckle my child in and walk to the driver side door of my vehicle it has alerted me three times, this is ridiculous. This technology has the potential to save many children from being left in the vehicle and this particular app is going to ruin that for a lot of parents because the faultiness makes people unplug it from their cars. I was even sitting in the vehicle with my child (car was turned off because it wasn’t hot so we could save gas) and it starts sending alerts that she is alone in the car. I have it set to the less sensitive setting and it hasn’t made a difference. Before spending over $500 on this car seat I checked the compatibility for the car seat and SensorSafe with my vehicle. Customer service hasn’t been any help. It’s pretty clear how much I hate this system. ### 1/5 — Issues with app *2021-05-09, version 2.5.5* It gives warning that I’m out of the car when I’m still sitting in it, it won’t update at all. This app really needs a better update! Now it goes off when my child isn’t even in his car seat ### 1/5 — Unreasonably high sensitivity and lack of common sense functionality make it an annoyance *2021-04-30, version 2.5.5* Maybe there’s issue with mine since I am surprised to find the overwhelmingly positive review because I can not imagine anyone being able to deal with this on a daily basis. Just to list a few, even at low sensitivity setting: Child alone alarm immediately go off while I shut the door by the car seat to get to the driver’s seat, or parked and got out the driver’s seat to get to the carseat. Whole time not even 2ft away from the car. Child alone alarm goes off while phone is under my legs Does not recognize when you are back in range after child alone alarm goes off and cancel the alert, will just keep on pushing alert, some timers while driving, which is dangerously distracting Does not recognize when chest clip is unclipped after child alone alarm goes off and cancel the alert, will just keep on pushing alert long after child is no longer in car seat Does not recognize when another phone the car seat registered with is in range while the phone that the car seat connected to left the car. Will continue pushing alert while another family member is right there with the child. I clip my little one in and my phone is going off before I can get in the driver’s seat. If we are in my car and my husband is driving and I hop out to run into a store and grab something... alert goes off and you can’t make it stop! It will go off until I get back in the car. It’s so awful that I’ll leave my phone in the car and tell my husband to give me his while I run in. There’s also a glitch now that even when we have arrived at our destination and taken our little one out of the car seat and gone inside (car off and doors locked) the phone will keep going off with the notification “child in car” and then it will alert your family members. We finally got the alert to stop on the phone for “child in car” but it still kept notifying the family to “rescue child” Also keep getting alerts on my phone that “Bluetooth is turned off”... except it’s not.... soooooo that’s a bug as well So basically, sweet 360 swivel function on the car seat but the app is so buggy that it’s almost unusable. **Developer response:** Hello. Thank you. ### 1/5 — Great idea, very poorly executed. *2020-10-31, version 2.5.4* My wife and I dropped a fortune on the Sirona S car seat, mainly because of the design allowing the seat to be swiveled around (my wife has had spinal surgery and i have herniated discs, so anything that makes putting our child in the seat easier is very welcome) and the alarm that tells you if your child has unlocked the seatbelt while you’re driving or if your child is too hot or cold- but NOT because we need to be reminded that we have a 14 month old child and just randomly left him alone in the car as we went off to do something else. Who actually needs that? I’m thinking it’s probably not someone that should be driving a vehicle, let alone being left in charge of a child. Unfortunately it is this alarm which is the one that constantly goes off. I took our son to get his flu shot yesterday and my wife was getting constant alerts saying i had left him in our car, alone (while i was driving to the appointment). The notifications appear to be tattooed onto the lock screen, even if i click ‘acknowledge’ it removes it and then it reappears again. We have a 2019 Toyota Highlander and i have iPhone 7, while my wife has an iPhone 8. Clearly this is an issue that needs to be addressed. However one suggestion for the developers i have is that the app should have more options to tailor your notifications. ie I would like to turn off the alerts I don’t need (the ‘child alone in car’ one, primarily), especially if they’re giving me false alerts which are distracting my attention while driving, and causing my wife to call me in a panic, also distracting me from driving. This is an extremely frustrating, not to mention dangerous flaw that really needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Needs improvement *2023-10-07* I used to like this app when I first got my babies 360, up until the company of this app renamed it and switched to CYBEX, it’s been TERRIBLE. I can’t remember the name of the one before, but the app is constantly going off, implying that it is connected when the baby has already been in the seat for a few minutes. I have two of these seats so it’s 2x as bad. Thanks! ### 1/5 — Not working *2023-06-18* The app right now alerts me that my baby is still in the car even with the sensor unbuckled and her with me wherever we’re headed. Apparently I need to contact someone about it and see if there’s some fox for my “type of phone” but I’m currently really wishing I hadn’t paid extra for this currently obnoxious, unhelpful feature. Also, I have none of my family added as additional alerts. The “we tried to alert your family but your basically have none” notification is definitely not the type of a thing a single parent wants to see and seems a little tone deaf. In general, I’m disappointed with a very expensive car seat feature. Thanks! ### 1/5 — Obnoxious *2023-05-24* As a first time parent, I thought this would be super useful and prevent me from accidentally leaving my child in the car. Boy was I wrong! Instead it just aggravates me beyond belief. It is too dumb to actually be useful. We went to the zoo and connected the car seat to our stroller, every time my wife was more than 5 feet away from me with the stroller, a robot voice would yell that my baby was left in the car. You can tell the app to snooze, but 90 seconds later it will yell at you again. My husband and I both have the app, so if he gets out of the car and I’m still in the car we shouldn’t be getting 10 critical notifications that my husband got out of the car. And then he got back in the car and was driving and got multiple notifications that our child was alone in the car. Then my battery life halved after fully charged, iphone is so hot all the time with this app installed. Uninstalled this app and everything is back to normal. It’s extremely frustrating and I wish my car seat didn’t come with this. The fact that this app has more than one star leads me to believe the reviews are fake. Hate this app, hate the tech. What a headache. ### 1/5 — No notification throttling on sensor reconnects and notifications *2021-05-24, version 2.5.5* The app loses connectivity with the sensor, rediscovers it, determines that its closed - child is in the car with his mother - but that I’m far from it, then sends me a critical notification requesting that I acknowledge. I do. Then the cycle repeats. The app loses connectivity with the sensor, rediscovers it, … sends me a critical notification. I must have received ~ 20 critical notifications while waiting in line at the coffee shop. I understand that the product needs to send me a critical notification if it determines that I’ve left the child in the car. I don’t understand why a) the product constantly loses connectivity with its sensor and b) why the engineers that built the app didn’t put in place some checks & balances to detect this cycle and throttle notifications. I can’t use this product or recommend it to others if it’s constantly sending me critical alerts. I may be ok with acknowledging 1 critical alert when I knowingly leave the child with an adult in the car. I am not ok with the behavior I just experienced. Please describe in your app release notes once this is fixed. At that time I may try the product again. P.S. We installed into a Jaguar 2016 XF the SensorSafe system. It came with our Cybex Cloud Q car seat. I use an iPhone 12 Pro Max, with both iOS and the app up-to-date. The app has all of the permissions it has requested. There is an iWatch 6 paired to the phone, also over Bluetooth. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — I just love this brand. *2024-02-07* It all started with the Aton m car seat and the balios stroller. We ended up buying the cot/bassinet for the stroller. Once our first born was too big for his car seat we upgraded that to the sirona s gold. The joy on not only us parents face but my sons face as well said it all. But when word of our second being on the way came we immediately made arrangements to upgrade for our gazelle double stroller along with the second seat. And also made an immediate purchase of a second sirona s gold car seat for my daughter because of how pleased everyone has been so far.
