Keeps the screen awake, provides crystal clear routing and updates my health app! I find it essential for navigating around London and taking advantage of the cycle network. The routing options are great. The developers are also receptive to feedback. Thanks! ### 5/5 — Perfect for use with my electric scooter *2025-08-25* Been using this app for going on two years with an electric scooter I purchased. I fly into airports with my small plane and then use the Scooter together with the app to go to a local diner for breakfast. I usually travel anywhere from 2 to 5 miles one way. The app has never failed me and I love how I get the directions in my little EarPod as well as having the phone mounted on the handlebars. ### 5/5 — Très bon GPS pour vélo! *2025-08-10* Connaît bien mieux les pistes cyclables de ma ville que Plan ou Google Map. Using the quiet setting has led us through woods, parks, by rivers and canals all while crossing central London. Our last ride took us to the front doors of the Hilton Doubletree Hotel, through the lobby, past reception and out the back doors on to the ferry to Canary Wharf. It has taken me on 50 mile trips to places I could not have done along motorways and main roads. Fabulous. - thank you. May I make a note to the designers. The royal blue line is not different enough to distinguish from the cycle routes. Could you change the colour of the route to say orange. I am now a life member and cannot recommend it enough. Great for avoiding car traffic and traffic lights. Occasionally the off road options are a bit crowded with pedestrian traffic but then it is easy to reroute. I use an electrically assisted cycle, and my average is nearer 12 ? Everything else is really awesome by the way ! The only suggestion I’d make, to improve the app, is for the option for the route to automatically redirect when the user makes the wrong turn or goes the wrong direction, particularly on roads when it’s unsafe to stop or turn around. Other than that perfect ### 2/5 — Bad route suggestions *2023-04-26, version 40.2* Does not seem to know safe short routes in London. Instead it seems focused on getting my health data. I need good directions, not a calorie counter. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No alternate routes *2024-08-10* The app shows only one option to get to your destination, the route I was going on led me to a road with no bike lanes where the speed limit was 80 km/h (50 mph) so I turned back and was unable to get a better route with the app. It is good concept but has poor execution, there are little to no explanations on what certain features do, although most are easy to understand. Having voice directions under a paywall is also kind of bad especially considering that most other regular map apps have it for free. As far as we're aware, it's a Cycle Route Planner and tracker and works pretty well :-) Ad impressions earn a tiny about of money and so wouldn't be worth any bad publicity. Thank you for your time! ### 1/5 — Waste of £10 Use Google maps *2022-07-28, version 39.5* Purchased the upgrade as the standard edition was awful, so presumed they held all the “good stuff” for paid users. How wrong was I! App deleted and will start using Google Maps. ### 1/5 — Stuck in a loop! *2022-06-12, version 39.4* Have used it for a couple of years now and it seems to be stuck in a route. Even if I ask for a destination 2 miles away it takes me via a loop of 18 miles. Have rest many times, uninstalled and no better. Makes it unusable… Would have been a 5 star but now a 1 sadly. ### 1/5 — Cannot even install *2022-06-06* For some reason, I was not able to install the app. freezes at the beginning here I click on the Location and Motion icons (allowing for motion detection and location) I tried three times (iPad 3, v. 15.5) ### 1/5 — Good idea poor implementation *2022-05-19, version 39.3* Riding bikes in London has reached a new level of stress for me when I use this app. This app tells your after you’ve passed the street that your should have taken a turn on. Nearly been in several accidents trying to get somewhere. Is your gps not syncing? I find that the options provided are different to other apps, using routes that are more direct. Also I’ve found so many short cuts by using this app that I would have never thought of before. The pan function, whilst approaching a crossing or other areas, allows for easy navigation through London’s traffic jungle. ———- I have been using Google Maps for all my cycling and have got tired of misrouted or inconvenient navigation. After a couple of trips with this app now, I’m more than happy to explore unfamiliar yet safe terrain in London. It's really fun to pass through parks and quiet side streets, detached from the traffic.
