It constantly locks up. The magazine is great, but I won’t renew on this platform. ### 2/5 — Great mag but app remains very buggy *2022-10-09* Why is the app so rubbish, still? Some months I can login fine, others it refuses to recognise my email, customer or account number. Waste of time and money. Makes me realise why there are 3 issues for £5 offers to try and tempt me back. It did, but not again unless the app can be sorted out. It’s 2022 for f’s sake. Now downloaded magazines don’t persist. These need to be downloaded almost every other day. I have turned off the auto archive function but this still happens. ### 1/5 — Great mag, annoying app *2019-01-10* Magazine and content is fantastic as it always has been and the only mag I have subscription for, but the app just lets it down. I went to digital subs only to save a few trees, but I’m close to going back to print. I download editions to read on my iPad, enjoy reading them and then they’ve disappeared when I come back to them, meaning I have to download them all over again! It happens all the time - content never stays on the device! Waste of time ### 3/5 — Great app and magazine. 2 problems *2018-11-19* Love the magazine and love reading it with the app. There is however one major thing I’d love to see fixed... You can’t access your downloads unless you are online! I discovered this when I downloaded the latest edition to read on my iPad on the train. When I opened the app, no downloads were visible. I’d assumed this was a failed download until the same happened again when I tried to read it on a flight on my iPhone. With WiFi and mobile data turned off you can’t access your downloads. Kinda defeats the purpose of downloading them in the first place... ### 3/5 — Poor value *2018-05-04* I feel the content / editorial quality is OK but limited. Very expensive for what you get. You lose so much of the magazine in its electronic form and now to make matters worse the latest edition has been in the shops several days but is not yet available here in electronic form. I’ve been subscribed for many years. However since I’ve upgraded to the latest iOS it crashes every 30 seconds. Received the message above. Dennis publishing refused to acknowledge a problem. I’ve been billed through itunes but am not able to download issues. It asks for a subscriber number, which wasn’t provided. I’ll be canceling my subscription. I have joined at the celebration of the 100th beginning issue. I love each issue since then. I have recently purchased the Cyclist Ride ‘The Greatest Cycling Routes in the World’. I find the book a wonderful resource to get to know all the greatest places to cycle to in Europe & the Rest of the World. I am wondering if the cyclist could provide a resource with all the rides routes in the Cyclist Ride available as device compatible files for anyone interested to do any of the rides. I would be keen to purchase a resource like this. It’s a stylish package but with substance containing stunning photos of the months featured ride and the features are informed and witty. ### 5/5 — Excellent *2020-05-10* Brilliant app and an even better bike magazine ### 5/5 — A classy read *2020-04-25* I’ve been reading the likes of bikes arc an cycling plus mags for a couple of years now but was a little bored with them to be honest. The same “shoot outs” in every other month and a kind of “red top” feel to the whole the. You know, where the bait of a juicy headline is all on the front cover to get you to buy, then you find out inside it’s all a bit wafer thin and same again. After the demise of bikes etc, I tried cyclist. I’ve got to say it was a wrench to pull myself away from the lure of the front bait page to cyclist as it is so minimalist. Just a single picture of a lone cyclist from afar on some beautiful scenery is the normal. What a difference in side though! Really well written content to just the right depth without going to the fine end. The quality feel of the mag is high end too and I really savour when the postie drops it on the mat 😂. All in all, an excellent read.
