## What is Cydog Toolkit?

TL;DR - Here's the bottom line on how our MacOS/iOS Security & Privacy Extension works:

Three content blocker modes to clean up your web experience: Extreme, Heavy, and Lighter. Two content blocker firewall modes to secure your webspace: The Walled Garden (Garden) & The Wall Watcher (Watcher). Each mode uses our proprietary methodology for security and privacy. An in-app extension with set-and-forget settings and logs to prove it's working. Enable 'Allow' for every site or have it 'Ask' and customize your security! Integrated cybersecurity technologies, including: our new deterrence encryption program, proof of fingerprinting, and fingerprint blocking. Want to learn more about the new web standards we've integrated into your web experience? Check out our GitHub at: https://github.com/Cydog-Browser.

For $0.99, you have made Safari on MacOS/iOS one of the most secure, private, and safely automated browsers in the world.

TL;DR - Here's the bottom line on how our MacOS/iOS Security & Privacy App works:

Here are some features you get for just $0.99. Fully featured encrypted DNS Client with split tunneling and network interface customizations. A lightweight web browser for saved logins and important bookmarks with a forensic connection monitor, cookie and local storage viewer, security header auditor, logger, and site settings features that includes mTLS and Leaf certificate pinning. iCloud database integration so content is saved across all your devices. A new quick answers feature that leverages an offline Large Language Model (LLM) to ask basic but highly technical questions and conduct a number of text generation tasks. HTTP proxy client that allows real-time monitoring. Add-ons to create and share web deployables. Phone broadcasting so those web deployables can be shared with anyone on their WiFi network. And much, much more.

For $0.99, you have made your MacOS/iOS device one of the most secure, private, and safe devices in the world.

Worried about data collection? We do not collect your data. Period. Still worried? Use our content blocker modes instead so you don't have to trust us. All content blocker modes and browsing features use anti-cookie potentiation and ad/tracker blocking technologies. Some of these technologies are more sophisticated than the top names in web security.

L;WR - Here's our long(er) explanation:

Mobile browsing can be a scary place. Hackers and Cyber Criminals have found innovative ways to target you on the devices and applications you use the most. Cydog Browser is a company which provides the world's leading web security for the masses. This app and safari extension uses multiple methods to accomplish this in order to serve our users. First, we want to help you secure your mobile browser, even though we believe we have a much better one for you to use. Safari is one of the most used mobile browsers in the world. We have developed this extension to secure it with new web standards that don't even exist yet. Second, we believe cyber security is a feedback loop. Without privacy, you can't keep your security over time. We take efforts to limit your web footprint so the data you create and the traces you leave behind don't tell a story to anyone. Lastly, we think the ad tracking ecosystem is detrimental to human behavior because it helps compromise the first two through insidious social loop-holes. Social life is one tactic Hackers and Cyber Criminals use to compromise you. We don't let them because we starve them of data.

We hope you enjoy better mobile browser security with the Cydog Toolkit! Want to know more about Cydog Browser? Visit: cydogbrowser.com

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-03-20*

I love this app! It has so many features and I have not had any issues with it!

### 1/5 — Um, no.

*2026-02-06*

I don’t want to be that person, although this issue isn’t solely about you or this specific app. It’s also relevant to other developers who engage in similar practices. Therefore, I apologize if this review receives the most attention because I genuinely enjoyed this concept.

BUT

Too much “situational” reasoning for data collection is problematic. “We won’t collect your personal sensitive data without your explicit consent.” However, they collect everything else as they see fit, unless someone legally compels them to collect even more of that other data without your consent. Then, it holds it among them and their third-party servers located in multiple countries.

I avoid all apps with an “App Store” card stating “data not collected,” “the developer does not collect any data from this app,” but their privacy policy contradicts that claim. You should do the same. Transparency is more important to me than an app. There are other apps that do this right.

Examples:

“We don’t collect any data from your device; all data is stored locally on your device only. We don’t have servers that transfer it. This app isn’t made for children, but since we don’t collect any data, this doesn’t apply.”

“StopTheMadness does not collect any information, and it does not have any analytics. StopTheMadness does not read, use, or share your personal data. StopTheMadness never "phones home".
If you email the developer for support, your email address and other information will be kept private and never be shared with anyone.”

“uBlock Origin Lite (uBO Lite) does not collect any data of any kind.
* uBO Lite has no home server.
* uBO Lite doesn't embed any analytic or telemetry hooks in its code.
* uBO Lite never makes network request to any remote server.
* uBO Lite doesn't accept donations or any other form of financing.”

This is a clear and straightforward message. If you don’t have any policies like this, I would delete the app and give you the review you deserve. This is for all developers. Please refrain from using excessive data jargon. If an app cannot be fully utilized without data collection (excluding email contact), it is inappropriate to display, “data not collected.” This is a straightforward matter.

Your sensitive data, non-sensitive data, and/or “anonymous aggregated data” is valuable to people.

Before collecting data, please let me know. I have numerous apps that explicitly state they collect data, such as maps. I choose to allow you to have that data rather than hiding behind the claim of “data not collected.”

In a “data not collected” app, “consent” should not be required to use all functions. Privacy-focused apps must be more responsible.

**Developer response:** Hi!

Thanks for your review. “Situational” collection is data collected that is offered by the user, including things like: contacting us (this review is considered a form of contact processed by a third-party, Apple, to which our policies are obligated to cover), reporting bugs with our bug reporter, and GitHub (and other repository/code) contributions to our booster store. Unless offered, no data is collected. When offered by the user, data has to be collected to be processed, as responding to an email or review is extremely difficult if we don’t know your email or review.

As always, we appreciate reviews from all our users that leverage our state of the art cyber technologies. We hope you’ll re-review our policies. Thank you again for supporting Cydog Browser!

Regards,

Cydog Browser Team

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2025-06-29, version 7.0*

Really powerful and blocks everything.

### 5/5 — Wow…

*2025-02-25*

The latest update has put this in the top five security-related apps available on iOS. You can’t get some of these features on top names, like Adguard. I can’t wait to see where this goes. Buy while you can because this price seems too good to be true for long.

### 5/5 — +++

*2023-07-19*

I really like your apps feature wise. I look forward to more development in the future. Potentially making the UI in the browser more intuitive? Other than that the features are easily worth the cost.

### 5/5 — Unique Outstanding Design App!

I know with current pace we all seem to travel now Days I would like to Stop and take the time to Thank the Developer for such a great 5 Star Design app that really helps you myself and our family!
