It usually connects to my phone straight away but for the past week now it “needs a second to think” when it didn’t before. From my experience the Cync app crashes. Two lights will connect flawlessly and then a third identical device will not connect. Then you have to reset the device and try again. Updates sometimes work and sometimes just spin forever. Ever since this update came out in June, if I can even get this app to load, I can’t log into my account, I can barely get to the login screen. When I do get into the app on a rare occasion, it boots me out in less than a day. Goes right back to not allowing me to load the app. I loved this app for years, all my home lights are GE Cync, and now I unfortunately have to leave for a company that will load its app. I hope they fix what’s wrong, I have a friend struggling in the same way, so I know it’s not only me having this issue. Please fix this app. ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time *2026-08-21, version 6.23.2* Both bulbs and app are rife with connectivity issues they have to be connected to Wi-Fi, your phone, and each other you’ll have updates to bulbs that will never finish. pair bulbs won’t always show up in your list. For $15-$25 a pop there are much better options. I tried pairing the same one 10 times every time it would get to the update portion the wheel would just spin forever.
