Green means go. Red means the sea decides today, not you • You can now sort the list by where it's best right now. The closest beach isn't always the best one — now you can see that • Filters are grouped into collapsible categories: no more scrolling the entire coastline to reach "Parking". The button tells you how many beaches you'll get before you tap it • New filters: shade, lifeguard, changing rooms, wheelchair access, snorkelling, diving, windsurfing, gentle entry. The data has been in the database for ages — it was just shy • Pick more than one area at a time. And cut off anything further than 5, 10 or 20 km • The UV index now comes with words. "9" tells you nothing; "very high" tells you: sunscreen • The map no longer spins on its own when you fumble a pinch. And if you do want to spin it, there's a compass — it puts north back too • Photos can be picked in batches now, up to ten at a time. Previously one by one, like it's 2009 • "Rate the beach you visited" used to open the home screen — which beach, you work it out. "New place on the map" did exactly the same: place added, finding it is your problem. Now a tap opens the thing the push was about. And reminders no longer wait until you've opened the app anyway • The "My places" screen lost a row of buttons. Nothing else was lost, honest Thanks to everyone writing reviews, sending ideas and uploading photos — without you this app would just be a map. ### 1.4 — 2026-07-20 What's new in 1.4: • Reviews in other languages now translate themselves • The "Visited" mark now sets itself: open the app at the beach and the spot stays marked for good • Rating a place is now one tap right from the card • The map card no longer covers half the screen, and you can tap the name up top too • A new counter in your profile shows visited beaches and places • The address now opens directions too — not just the big button below • Cleaned up beach names and finally translated the ones stuck in English for years • Redesigned profile: achievements and your leaderboard rank are now front and center, with live numbers • Settings moved to their own screen — the profile is cleaner now • Achievements, leaderboard rank, and nickname now load instantly, even offline Thanks to everyone who leaves reviews, sends ideas, and uploads photos — without you this app would just be a map. ### 1.3 — 2026-07-10 Our big summer update has arrived. Sunscreen not included. • Added 3 new places: a lake with real goldfish, a 14th-century monastery, and Aphrodite’s Beach. • New photos and locations now appear automatically — no restarting the app and hoping for a miracle. • Notifications have learned to arrive on time instead of showing up when it is already too late. • The leaderboard is now fairer: visiting places from the sofa no longer counts as an adventure. • Added a “Suggest an Improvement” button and a link to our Telegram community. Complaints are now official — and yes, we actually read them. • Fixed bugs and polished everything we could reach. ### 1.2 — 2026-07-05 Big summer update! • Show off! Share beaches and badges as gorgeous cards. Vacation envy included free of charge. • Push notifications with good news only: review approved, badge earned, new place on the map. No spam — beach promise. • Offline mode: the map and catalog keep working even where the internet takes a day off. • Photos now fly smoothly from card to screen. We may have stared too long. • Darker dark theme, a more readable map, and swipe-to-remove in My Places. • Fixed everything that squeaked.
