I find I have to switch the audio to the phone then back to my Bluetooth headphones while on a call to get it to play in both sides. The customer support is great, best in the business. The physical in-office phone works properly. No problems with call forwarding or conference calls. Standard options don’t exist. There is no “out of office” functionality, you have to-record your messages from scratch. The app is just horrible. Listening to voicemail only works 40-50%. Similar results with calling. I have to reinstall the app almost weekly. In conclusion: the customer support can get you through the rest of Cytracom’s failings. I used Ring Central a decade ago, and it was much better than Cytracom. I would not recommend them for a small business owner. ### 4/5 — Poor Contacts option *2022-02-19* I use both the desktop version and mobile version. I was able to add business contacts in the desktop version but it does not carry over when I login to the mobile app. The mobile app only allows you to have the extensions from our company or add all of your personal contacts from my cell phone. I don’t like having my personal contacts included on the app. Wish you would allow adding other contacts in the mobile app. ### 3/5 — Needs Multi-Tasking Split Screen Support on iPad *2022-01-19, version 21.50* Please add multitasking support for iPad. But, here’s the list -Dropped calls -History makes no sense ( only shows incoming and not outgoing) it basically shares my call log on my iPhone which congest my log with Cytracom calls -Outgoing calls are hit or miss - Water or echoes on some calls. No matter what I still have to use the system. But it could be fixed and remedied. ### 2/5 — Over this app *2021-10-11* I'm tired of missing calls. I try to answer the call and the app fails. I am over having to install and reinstall this app just to get it to function. When I am logged out of the app, my phone rings. When I'm logged into the app, it hangs up on the calls I try to answer. ### 2/5 — Sound Quality *2021-09-14* The sound quality of calls on my phone is very poor in my opinion. You can’t talk and view calendar at the same time, sometimes the phone will continue to ring after all is picked up, sometimes you’re unable to dial, and other times people you call can hear you. When I go to listen to Voice Mail The volume is always muted or at zero. There have been a couple times. I thought it was a person call me and just never left a message. they have also been times where my phone didn’t ring and I only noticed when I see a missed call or a new voice message. ### 1/5 — Terrible App - have complained multiple times to manufacturer *2025-12-09* This app is bad. Granted, SIP applications are tough. However, when I compare this to MS Teams it is POOR. For example: 1) Want to see a phone number in the history? Odds are this isn’t your day. Maybe close and reopen this app. Or tomorrow might be better. 2) Text messaging from this app is clunky. It feels like the app is TRYING to draw the screen but can’t (Electron?). 3) The contacts search doesn’t. 4) Don’t even get me started on the phone call quality. I’m a 20+ year veteran of networking, I know SIP protocol, and there is just NOT a combination that works reliably. Alternate SIP ports, TCP mode, it’s all pretty bad. The days have come and gone where you can trust the endpoint to have reserved bandwidth. App immediately crashes as soon as you tap “Choose”. ### 1/5 — Big yikes *2023-03-09, version 23.9* Even with the recent updates, there are so many issues. - Constantly logged out mid-call - Unable to transfer (loading signal) - Voicemail transcription not loading - Voicemails not sending to email We’ve worked with Cytracom support so many times over the last year and their resolutions never seem to last long. Our office staff is resorting to using their personal cell phones, sans app, frequently just to keep things running. I’m pleased to say we’re demo-ing with other vendors. The day cannot come soon enough for our staff. ### 1/5 — Buggy App *2021-10-15* This app consistently drops my calls unless I specifically have the app open - and sometimes even drops those. Call showing on your Lock Screen and slide over to answer? Dropped. Call showing while using phone and you click answer? Dropped. The UI is intuitive but I’ve never had such a poor experience with a VoIP app and it makes doing my job more difficult when I need a reliable solution.
