There seems no way to download the newest version and was confused where to communicate or contact technical support through the App Support section. Tried to delete and reinstall and nothing changed. After putting forth a query through Apple they contacted me promptly with more details and help. Unfortunately it was just a redirect to the website which I had already tried with no luck as to how to send a message or open a ticket to get help for why bug fixes and updates are getting installed. ### 4/5 — if you like strategic games *2026-08-24, version 2.90* you will love this app if you like straight up fun and straightforward games like this get this app.. ### 4/5 — Excellent resource *2026-08-22, version 2.90* Nearly required for playing DnD if you ever use electronics. Firstly it has too many payments which is super annoying if you want free alternatives and does there have to be a subscription!? It is really buggy, as seen in other reviews. It doesn’t load or show up even after reloading it, my experience with the app was fine, but others? Not so much. On to the positives, i really like the digital dice rolling because if i am playing somewhere without dice it is convenient. I especially like the fuzzy dice :) the character building is good especially with the stat calculations and classes that are from different books. In conclusion it’s a good app but it still needs some work to be done. My only issue is the crazy amount of money you have to put into it. The monthly subscription is not too bad, but you still have to buy every book. It would be nice if there were at least a few fun things for free since you’re paying to use it anyway. ### 3/5 — Only works on phones *2026-08-07, version 2.90* I have a iPhone,ipad, and a Mac book, the dnd beyond mobile app only works well on phones, white it is usable on iPads the functions aren’t to scale but everything works. But on a Mac book you physically can only make characters, everything else like reading a handbook is impossible, the text is black and the background is too meaning its impossible to see text that doesn’t have a link. ### 4/5 — Helps new players *2026-08-06, version 2.90* While it can take time to load and hides a lot behind a medium paywall it still helps new players a little lot even if changes to app would be nice ### 3/5 — Very useful, could do so much more *2026-08-06, version 2.90* Been using the app for years now. Very useful to easily read the sourcebooks, spells, classes, etc. but the listings tab needs enhancements to match the utility of the website. 1. Need to be able to sort by things other than alphabetical name order, being able to sort by spell level, or monster CR is essential 2. Monster CR filter. Why am I forced to have a range. Why can’t I filter to say just CR 4, why must it be CR3-4 or 4-5. This is an extremely easy fix. 3. Feat filters. You’ve added new types of feats in 2024 with general, origin, epic boons, dark powers. Let me filter by them. And similarly, let me filter backgrounds by what stat bonuses they give. I use this app near daily as a DM, and I continually find it just short of greatness. ### 3/5 — Errrg *2026-08-03, version 2.90* Amazing but way to expensive for not getting to unlock all characters and classes and not being able to run a campaign ### 4/5 — Great… but *2026-08-03, version 2.90* On Mac, the text of things like spells is in black, which is impossible to read against the dark background. As well, someone needs to program the character sheets from the app to print out standard WoTC character sheets found in the PHB 2024 instead of the 3rd party character sheets it currently prints out ### 4/5 — A necessity *2026-08-01, version 2.90* There offs so much information available! It’s wonderful! BUT the UI is a bit clunky and sometimes counterintuitive. It’s my main use when I’m playing. But not having dedicated access to the marketplace except through character creation is really a bummer. I shouldn’t have to use the mobile site in my mobile browser when there is a mobile app that should do the same thing. Also, backing out of marketplace once you access it stops the character creation process. That’s a real pain. ### 1/5 — Cannot load library *2026-08-18, version 2.90* Two iPads, updated, redownloaded, etc. Both stuck on cannot load library for months.
